I had no idea some of the products and supplements I was taking were so bad for me. It also showed me which ones were clean and I easily replaced them with better options! I applaud you for your work. This is what all industries need. Accountability. I only gave a five star because of the vision and to promote the app adoption but in reality it’s prolly between 3.5 - 4 just cause it’s new and needs some more features imo. My feature requests I believe would be helpful: - A supplement profile: Mark supplements to both track if untested or also just make the ones a user cares about more accessible (This can also grow as more than supplements are added to this) as in a favorites that can be categorized by type? - A better request design: of course this will improve as user adoption approves, but it would be amazing if supplements could be both: more easily added (maybe QR code or automatically populate from a url). - This would also be streamlined if there was a public visual of both supplements that have already been requested (public +1) - Also as this grows I suspect that companies will begin to take this more seriously and evolve their formulas. And so two things may happen: 1. This will require a retest, so it’d be useful to also display the date of the last test (as well as changes in the results) 2. Companies will spam to have their supplements retested with bots or avid users (to prevent this make it difficult for brands to retest like a 3 or 6 mo minimum before retest and maybe like an official reason) - Maybe also publish test results and process? This will slow output so understand if this is difficult - What would also be useful is a price by unit ($/fl oz) for easy comparison - Finally, this is more for fun, videos explaining common tests and why for different groups (like whey vs serums vs other) - idk if this exists but a website version as well? (Showing small ads to fund the testing is something I wouldn’t mind as well) Also I work in software and would love to contribute if possible. The fact that the vast majority of products labeled with a “pass” simply don’t have lead, arsenic, or cadmium. This was pitched at testing the levels of protein in a powder or how potent a vitamin is. There are a few with this info but not enough for the app to be useful. Also the fact that this app comes across more like an Amazon marketplace just opens it up to exploitation. To ever be a truly consumer facing company you cannot profit off the sale of what you are reviewing. Even in your video you talk about MPMD messaging you directly about his products. How can a consumer trust you want take money from a product that sells well through the app and you prop it up with great test results. ### 2/5 — Potency? *2026-04-29, version 1.2.4* In the description, it says you all will verify potency so you know exactly what you’re getting or if you’re not being under dosed, but none of that is available on the app. This app is only about contaminants, don’t get me wrong that’s important, but not the information I was hoping to receive. ### 3/5 — Dark mode *2026-06-30, version 1.2.10* The app need dark mode ( amoled ) ### 3/5 — Confused? *2026-04-19, version 1.2.2* I appreciate the testing of heavy metals and microbiologicals. But I was under the assumption it was also going to test the legitimacy of the actual product in what it’s advertised for. Protein powders for instance. Nowhere it shows how much or how little protein was actually in each tested sample. Same with any other product. Just simply if they are safe to consume or not. I though this was to test suppliers honesty of what they put on the label vs real world 3rd party testing to save consumers money. ### 4/5 — Love It, Want More *2026-06-27, version 1.2.9* Its fantastic that Ryan and the team are tackling this challenge and bringing transparency to products we have been blindly trusting for so long. An uphill battle for sure, but I think the community is super happy y’all are doing this. Thank you. I would love to see an option to create my own “stack” in my profile. Some kind of list that keeps track of what I use daily and still shows the scores (only if tested obviously), along with an overall “score” for the entire stack. That way I can have an on-going idea of what my cumulative effect looks like and that way I don’t have to go back and manually select different items every time. Maybe in the future this could be used to recommend better replacements for folks in their stacks too. I agree with others, the iOS menus aren’t completely polished yet, but I know y’all are aware and working on it. The purchase links all circle back to the Trueview app and don’t take you to the vendor. Welp, independent third party testing kinda gives an insight on what brands are literally worse than DOG WATER and which brands actually aren’t trying to kill you! I’ve upgraded my protein powder, learned my vitamin brand was proven to be honest and legit 😅, even swapped which energy drinks I’ll enjoy before a workout or totally avoid like the plague. Be surprised, stop consuming poison, and get back to the thing we’re all trying to do- uhh trying to not die, and enjoy our bodies like they were intended. Little things in life… thanks for transparency and honesty. It’s sad how rare those things are nowadays.. Navigation (iPhone) could be improved, menus are repetitive. Unclear how to vote for a supplement to be tested - table shows only ratings (?). Funding a test for a specific supplement is a good idea, but gets expensive for multiple items.
