### 4/5 — Be sure to pair your hearing aids in accessibilit, not Bluetooth. App works great!

*2023-10-28, version 4.3.1*

I had a little trouble getting it to work and Starkey straightened me out in email. Thanks!

### 3/5 — User for several years

*2023-02-25, version 4.3.1*

location settings function works well. Personalization is the most useful function.
IOS updates run from seamless to a cluster. You often need to reconnect the phone to your devices first. The apple watch function does not work since several updates.
Don’t expect more than a few utility functions.

### 4/5 — Truelink

*2022-10-22, version 4.3.1*

Happy with Truelink for iPhone, I amazed how Well they work with iPhone 13 pro but waiting for Starkey & Apple to fix Truelink app for Apple Watch 7. I understand that Starkey is not updating the Truelink app anymore, I hope that’s not true. Also tried the Thrive app but I see no app for Watch yet. That was one of the main reasons I went with Starkey so I hope they can get the better Thrive Watch app developed. I see that Thrive app has so many features that I like. Keep up with the good work and development for Apple & thrive I am waiting for the app. Thanks Chuck

### 1/5 — Not working

*2022-09-22, version 4.3.1*

Was working great till 6 months ago. Was hoping they might fix since IOS update. I got these hearing aids specifically due to app because I turn on the tinnitus each day and do some adjustments depending on what I am doing. If they are not going to make this work then they need to give me my thousands of dollars spent on these hearing aids

### 1/5 — Actualicen

*2022-09-15, version 4.3.1*

Hace 4 años que no an actualizado la app
Actualicen la app

### 1/5 — Poor Poor Poor

*2022-09-07, version 4.3.1*

I’ve been using this app for 4 years and nothing has really improved. I have starkey hearing aids and they constantly drop off the app . My phone is always within proper distance for the aids to work and yet I’m constantly restarting my phone, the app and pairing the aids pick one they all work from time to time to keep them working for volume and tinnitus adjustment. My audiologist can never find anything wrong either aid’s themselves so it must be the “stinking” app . Can we please get this right the dang things cost enough.

### 1/5 — 対応(バージョンアップ)が最悪

*2022-07-03, version 4.3.1*

数年前まで発売していた補聴器用アプリなのに、新機種が出るとバージョンアップが中止されます。そのため、購入後、iOSやiPhoneの機種変更で、数年でアプリの不具合で使用できなくなる可能性が高い。

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2022-06-30, version 4.3.1*

This app no longer works with my Starkie hearing aids and the latest iPhone version. It hasn’t worked for several months and my Audibel store said Starkie was working on it but nothing has happened. App can’t find the hearing aids.

### 1/5 — Mala

*2022-06-21, version 4.3.1*

Tengo 6 meses intentando conectarlos a mi audífonos y sigo sin poder

### 1/5 — Falta de atualização do app

*2022-06-15, version 4.3.1*

Falta de atualização do app, está mais de 4 anos sem atualização ou melhorias no app.

### 1/5 — Connectivity

*2022-05-15, version 4.3.1*

This app no longer “recognizes” my hearing aids

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect to iPhone

*2022-05-05, version 4.3.1*

The selling point of the Starkey hearing aids is the ability to control the hearing aids with your iPhone.
In view of the other reviews and my experience this just does not happen. Starkey has made no attempt, as far as I can tell, to correct the problem and they’re probably selling hearing aids boasting about this great app.
In my humble opinion that is fraud!

### 1/5 — What Incompetency And Arrogance

*2022-04-14, version 4.3.1*

The VA needs to cease doing business with your company.

How can your App not pair with hearing aides less than a foot away?

This is an Apple 13 Pro Max.

### 1/5 — No help anymore

*2022-04-03, version 4.3.1*

I would have given it 4 stars a week ago. What the heck happened, yesterday to stopped working for no apparent reason. I deleted it and reloaded but it still can’t find my hearing aids. The 2020 SE iPhone sees them and showed only pre loaded programs. Now I can’t make any custom programs. You would think that wouldn’t be a problem for $6000 hearing aids. If Starky doesn’t fix this I won’t be buying Starky anymore.

### 1/5 — What a joke

*2022-02-09, version 4.3.1*

Don’t bother wasting the space on your phone to get this app. You would think a company who makes and sells very high tech medical devices would have at least “adequate”apps for their equipment.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2021-12-07, version 4.3.1*

C’mon Man!! Considering the cost of these hearing aids I expected this app to allow a wide range of hearing aid control. This disaster doesn’t come anywhere close!

I’ve experienced the same connectivity and sound issues commented upon by others. Random drop of connection, occasional need to completely delete and reinstall the app, alternating absence of device connection, spinning “circle of death” waiting for Bluetooth connection. The custom setting tool is a total farce and pretty much useless. Why not just provide a simple EQ type functionality that actually allows discrete adjustment of frequency bands?

Should not be that difficult or costly to provide a robust app with at least some options this worthless tool was touted to have.

### 1/5 — Functionality of App

*2021-12-05, version 4.3.1*

The software creates additional issues of searching and not coming up with any hearing aides. If it does which is sometimes, else only left or right hearing is activated. Switching iPhone off and restarting brings back both sides and for a short time it works. Then back to same problems. Changed batteries 3 times this week and one or the other shows the battery has no juice left. This is frustrating and wastes too much time.

2nd Review comments.
Matches the first review. The app is very finicky and creates un-necessary challenges of changing batteries, restarting the iPhone and waste of time and money for batteries. Very uneven in which hearing aid, comes on or off, and changing the battery from one to the other, doesn’t help.

The developer really needs to sync, the software with iPhones hardware/software and blue tooth compatiblity with hearing aids. Thanks

### 1/5 — This App is useless

*2021-11-16, version 4.3.1*

Hearing aids are ok when they work which is about half the time. App needs tools for diagnostic and more controls over performance issues.

### 1/5 — This app is AWFUL

*2021-10-01, version 4.3.1*

This app is incredibly glitchy. It doesn’t pick up either hearing aid and I have to restart, delete, or close out and open every single time. Lots of times it just picks up one hearing aid. I spent 20 minutes yesterday before I finally got it to pick up both hearing aids.

I’ve called Starkey Tech support on several occasions. I get lots of sympathy and promises to call back with a solution , but no one EVER calls back.

I will never get a Starkey hearing aid again.

### 1/5 — Horrendous App but great hearing aids

*2021-09-16, version 4.3.1*

This App is worthless. It constantly crashes and says that it can find my hearing aids even though my iPad shows that they are connected and I can hear perfectly fine. It seems to have its own mind when it comes to streaming from my iPhone or iPad — sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t!
Worst of all the screens shown in their “help” document bear no resemblance to the actually app screens! Pathetic app for great hearing aids!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-08-11, version 4.3.1*

It won’t connect to my hearing aids. Keeps disconnecting and now it’s none discoverable

### 1/5 — Won’t find lost aid!

*2025-01-23, version 4.3.1*

The find my aid doesn’t even find the one in your hand!

### 1/5 — New version of app

*2024-06-20, version 4.3.1*

This new version of the app is the worst. The app worked great with my Apple IPhone 13 Pro Max but it doesn’t work with the 15 Pro Max. It won’t detect the hearing aids and I have no way of adjusting them by use of the Bluetooth on my phone. I wish I had kept my 13 now. I loved the old version of the app

### 1/5 — Worst ap EVER

*2024-03-23, version 4.3.1*

I have been using the TruLink ap for many years and must warn people to choose another hearing aid other than Starkey. I think the aids are okay but the ap is extremely worthless. It is so slow and crashes almost daily. I am getting frustrated just writing this review. I am about to upgrade my aids and will be looking at other brands. If I told what all the problems with the ap were it would take pages. Bottom line stay away from this ap.

### 1/5 — This app I frustrating and unreliable

*2023-04-09, version 4.3.1*

I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve had to reinstall this app, because it suddenly stops recognizing one of my hearing aids. Very poor and unreliable.

### 1/5 — Crappiest App Ever

*2023-02-28, version 4.3.1*

Does not work - forever lost and can’t link to h/aids … never ever worked for me …

### 1/5 — TruLink

*2022-12-29, version 4.3.1*

One of the WORST APPS EVER !!!!!
This is WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST WORST APP FOR SUPPORT !!!
My wife still can’t understand what I say sometimes……
I have visited my hearing aid specialist numerous times but to no avail !!
The $5000.00 we invested is a waste of money ..
also, the Rayovac batteries that we were told to get keep getting worn out in a week or less !!
And don’t tell me that I’m purchasing batteries that the expectation date is near.
Your hearing-aids and especially the APP is a total waste of my time and money.. I know that I will most likely not EVER hear from you and your company again , so have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and ……….I can’t hear you !!! Lol

### 1/5 — TruLink

*2022-11-24, version 4.3.1*

Very poor. Will not stay connected to hearing aids.

### 1/5 — App crashes repeatedly

*2022-11-17, version 4.3.1*

The hearing aids have been great but the app connecting to them to change the settings depending on environment keeps crashing
The presets don’t seem to work anymore

### 1/5 — Updated?

*2022-10-22, version 4.3.1*

Is there updated?

I see this version is old from 4 yrs ago.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App disappears from the screen

*2020-11-22, version 4.3.1*

I have been using this app since I got my Starkey hearing aids
However, since last week, it stopped working and I deleted the app
While reloading it does not show any “cloud sign” to download and instead shows “get”, as f I am loading it for the first time.
Also it remains on my phone screen for “a split second” and disappears from the screen.
Please check and fix this problem , so that I could start using this superb App again
Thanks
Satish

### 5/5 — Use this great app ten hours a day

*2019-12-26, version 4.3.1*

Just read through some dismal reviews. I think they are from people who expect more than a typical Bluetooth connection can do, or they are not using the app properly. Sound quality is excellent when put in Stream Boost mode

My only complaint is that the app has a harder time linking to my hearing aids than the iPhone accessibility function. Can’t blame that on Bluetooth

The bottom line is that I enjoy listening to music, radio, and podcasts a good portion of the day using this app sending a stream to my hearing aids. Enough to drive my wife nuts. Would hate to live without it.

### 5/5 — Trulink and Starkey hearing aids

*2019-08-18, version 4.3.1*

This new software meets my needs perfectly. I have settings for restaurant, meetings, theatre and windy in addition to the normal and trulink settings. Together, iPhone and these Bluetooth aids have transformed my life. The sound quality is as good as expensive headphones so I listen to all my music and podcasts through them directly.

### 5/5 — Getting better... & Good job

*2018-11-28, version 4.3.1*

First of all I just want to say thank you for this software program.I’ve been using hearing aids for about two years. At first I had some problems getting It to work for me...All is good now. It’s great. I use my IPad to control it in meetings I have to attend. if someone is speaking softly or too fast, I can adjust at any time and usually no one knows what I’m doing. Again thanks to the developers who make this happen....

### 5/5 — 2 years and very happy.

*2018-08-26, version 4.3.1*

Today was the 2nd time in two years that I have had any trouble with the Hilo TrueLink App. A few months ago when one hearing aid would not connect it was a software update on the hearing aids that was needed. As IOS iPhone is updated sometime changes in the IOS work different. Today, I deleted several other apps and when I went to use the app several hours later I could not get a connection on either hearing aid. To fix I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I did a new pairing and all is good. I suspect an app I deleted may have been sharing a file in IOS.

For those with connection problems do go back to your audiologist to get the latest hearing aid firmware. For those who complain about the sound quality is all in the programming. My audiologist insisted on three visits over a few months to tweak the settings. One year later on another visit he made changes that greatly improved so I could hear more clearly. Right now the left hearing aid is set a bit too high and it needs for it to be again, tweaked. But he is 170 miles away so my next trip to my old home area I’ll have him make another adjustment.

I learned that over time your hearing does change and the ability that these aids can be finely tune is remarkable. I’m very happy with these very expensive aids but worth every penny. Able to find tune them with the app is all a great benefit but it doesn’t have the same range as the audiologist can do.

### 5/5 — No problems here.... Long Read.

*2018-08-19, version 4.3.1*

I have been using the Halos and this app. since March 2018 with good results.
My hearing loss comes from being around loud industrial machines for 41 years.
My hearing loss was to the point of not being able to simple things like birds chirping, lyrics to music. Most of all I was missing about every other word when listening to someone speak. THAT changed after being introduced to the Halos H/A and a great audiologist that took time to explain things. (Everyone’s hearing problems are different)

I had them for about a week, and noticed the “tin can” sounds along with the “Ssss” at the end of most words. I went back to the audiologist, with in a few clicks of her computer she had adjusted my Halos.
I look at it as you have to learn to digest what you’re hearing and process it.
(I never knew how loud a house cat could be while eating)

About the APP.
Great application for the Halos. I’m thinking I’ve had to re-sync about twice for the six months I’ve used it.
I’m using the app 100% of the time when I’m wearing the Halos. You have to realize it’s Bluetooth and problems do happen.

Finding a great audiologist is the key.

### 5/5 — Love this capability!

*2018-05-28, version 4.3.1*

I have been wearing hearing aides for 13 years and am in love with my new Halo IQ. Paired with this app, I can hear my phone easily - and it is in both ears! The music streaming is wonderful and again I get stereo but disturb no one else!

I don’t have connectivity problems as reported by lots of others, but I have the latest firmware on the aides and latest TruLink app. When you lose connectivity (rare for me, but it happens with lots of bluetooth devices and this is a BT device), don’t be afraid to remove the aides from BT and then the phone will search to reconnect. You might have to open the battery door then close it. It takes less than 20 seconds and you are up and running.

### 5/5 — Works as advertised

*2018-03-31, version 4.3.1*

The app and hearing aids work as intended. No problem connecting and keeping the connection. I have created a number of custom profiles that I use in special situations like noisy restaurants. The only criticism of the app is it takes some time to load the profiles when first started, but after that it's OK.

### 5/5 — Works as intended

*2018-03-22, version 4.3.0*

After about 9 months of use....my thoughts. Initially I was giving this app very low rating. After having random problems pairing to my phone I did seek help via the 800-number. After just a few minutes with the text service rep., the problem was resolved with no issues since. The pairing issue is not an issue with the TruLink hearing aids it was an issue with the iOS system. When the app and the hearing aids pair correctly, these are great.
Customer service is great and no hold time when I called. As you would hope when having an issue.

### 5/5 — Great App! Saved my hearing aid!

*2017-03-26, version 4.0.0*

Lost my hearing aid at a Cenote in Mexico. After a frantic search I remembered TruLink " find my hearing aid". In two minutes I located it in a young fellows pocket!! I was elated to get it back! He was a little astounded to say the least!!
