Down load another browser app - I used Vivaldi - and it’ll work. Before spending over 1 hour trying to scan my passport repeated, with it telling me my QR code had expired. Wasted a lot of my time and must be wasting the healthcare trusts money too. Successfully manage to upload passport and get through the trauma of the face scan but when it comes to scanning the chip it tells me to go back to guest link and get started. So I start again - and again and again. Sought help which was useless: told me to copy the link into Google. There is no link to copy! Have restarted both iPad and iPhone, uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, switched off and on again all to no avail. What a waste of my time. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Read the reviews *2026-05-11, version 4.123.1* Took me over an hour to get the nfc chip scan to work… everything else worked fine, even scanning my passport details, it was just the chip scan part. After reading through the reviews and trying a few different things recommended by others, it finally worked. I started by downloading Google chrome and setting it as my default browser instead of safari, restarted the whole process there, and it still wouldn’t work. I then fully turned my phone off and once I restarted it I went back onto Chrome and fortunately it had saved my progress, so then it just took me back to the final stage (aka. the scanning part) and hurrah, it magically worked! It’s a joke that government jobs use such a terrible and unreliable app. I can’t even imagine the amount of data leaks this app has had. As such, the majority of reviews are just there to complain when something goes wrong. As far as I can tell the app worked swiftly and well. I believe many people’s issues will be with the process rather than the app itself. ### 4/5 — Wanted to add a positive review! *2026-05-08, version 4.123.1* Seems like there are mainly negative reviews on this app, so thought I would add a positive experience! The only thing I struggled with was I thought I had to take a photo of the front of the passport at first (it mentions the chip so many times that I had it in my head that I needed to photograph the front cover).
