Update requires registration as new! ### 2/5 — Interface needs help *2026-04-17* App developers need to create an option to start a new session at the same intensity level as the previous session. And/or allow users to input intensity setting BEFORE the timer starts. It's ridiculous user design to try to find the vagus nerve with one hand while modulating intensity on the app with the other, after the device has already started counting down a very short 2 minute window. While lying down. Causes a lot of stress, which the device is supposed to be helping!! At the very least use a haptic feature, like volume buttons on the phone, to adjust intensity. ### 2/5 — App sucks, device works *2026-02-26, version 1.3.6* My sleep has been excellent ever since using the Truvaga Plus, but the app absolutely sucks. I have to reopen it, restart my phone, disconnect and connect to Bluetooth multiple times on any given use. Why is it we are paying $500, and they can’t make a better app to go with it? In my opinion, we shouldn’t need an app to use a device like this. It would be so much easier with just an on/off switch and a couple of settings on the device. ### 2/5 — When the app is down it’s useless *2025-11-15* When it works, it’s great! But the app is glitching now so it’s worthless. Why on earth make this without a manual / dark mode option makes ZERO sense. Unfortunately, while I'm starting on level 2, all of my sessions are being recorded as level 1. ### 2/5 — Bad app, good device *2025-08-29* The app is worthless added steps for zero patient-useful information, and when the app will not load or connect to the device, the device becomes worthless too. I was advised by my doctor to try this device to help out with some G.I. issues I have. Why it does not function independently of this app is beyond me. There have been many times when I needed to use it and have been unable to because of bugs with this app. The least they could do is give us a dark mode for the app when it is used in the evening. ### 1/5 — This app does not need to exist *2025-01-02* It’s a handheld device. It could have had buttons on it to adjust intensity, start and stop… but no, we have to pull out an app to use this thing for 2 minutes. I am guessing that maybe they changed the rules about what makes a valid password. Or maybe because I did not have a chance to unpair my device, the thing is bricked. Disappointing. Maybe someone from the company will contact me to provide tech support. ### 1/5 — Latest update complicated a simple tool *2026-08-01* The original app was fast and simple to use. This latest update added no meaningful functionality while complicating the app. It takes longer to use with more steps involved. Disconnects constantly, and simply should not be required for the functioning of a device that could work simply with buttons. Outrageously planned for obsolescence. I’ve tried unpairing and repairing the device. There’s a bug and the customer support is nonexistent. I expect better for such an expensive device! ### 1/5 — Total Trash *2026-03-18* Truvaga forced me to upgrade the app and now it freezes after every session/treatment. Somehow made a terrible app worse. There are lots of VNS out there; get a different brand. It doesn’t matter if I select a mood, or if I choose “skip” - it says “loading” and becomes stuck. I’ve also always hated the lack of a dark mode, and there’s no way to force it by inverting colors in accessibility settings - the app ignores it. ### 1/5 — The most buggy app I've ever used *2026-01-13* Virtually every time I try to use the device, it fails to connect. I have such severe ptsd my heart stopped from adrenaline overload 11 times. I hyper metabolize all the medications that'd help. I spent thousands on stellate ganglion nerve blocks. This? SO MUCH BETTER! I'd have paid 10x for it 10 years ago.
