Truyu reached out and apologized and rectified the issue. We appreciate your feedback. ### 1/5 — They charge you 4.99 for a broken service *2026-03-17* This is typical that Commonwealth Banks DNA, is all over this dumpster fire of an app. 90% of the service can be found on the website ‘haveibeenpwned’ for free, without paying CBA. the ‘paid’ features don’t actually work and it won’t be able to find your credit reports. Truyu’s ID Alerts subscription focuses on identity monitoring, alerting you when your ID is used in checks at banks, telcos, and other services. While we don’t currently offer credit file monitoring, we know it’s important—and it’s something we’re actively exploring. We appreciate you being part of our early journey and helping us shape what comes next. ### 2/5 — Limited “value for money” *2024-07-18* I joined the trial after seeing the product appear on a News telecast. The app is created by a wholly owned subsidiary of the Commonwealth Bank which is why I decided to give it a try. The app requires some sensitive information in order to register the account and you also add in all of the email addresses you use on a regular basis. Once set up, the app checks all of your email addresses against know stolen data exploits and reports back to show where information belonging to you could be available “in the wild”. The Truyu App is only free for the trial period after which it becomes a paid subscription. The email vulnerability information is the same as you can get from websites such as “Have I been Pwned”… etc. The ONLY unique service it offers is the ability to alert you if someone tries to create any bank accounts using your information or if someone is trying to take ownership of your bank accounts using your info. This is a powerful feature but I’m just not convinced that it is worth the monthly subscription fee being asked (especially why Commonwealth Bank customers need to pay in the first place). Cancelling my trial for now but will keep an eye on any advances as it has the bones of a good service but its actual value for money(as opposed to its perceived value) is the biggest thing holding me back **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for your valuable feedback.
