### 2/5 — Is it available in Canada

*2025-07-05*

Why tell all the diabetes that you can bolus from your phone if it’s not available in Canada???

### 4/5 — Needs updating

*2024-05-18*

Great app but needs to represent the current software capabilities so it is more useful for trainings.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and review! We are always looking for ways to improve the app and will be sure to log your comments for review by our App Developers.

### 4/5 — Dear tandem

*2023-12-18*

I think it should have all the beep noises cause it tells the owner what noise it makes when you bolus or when it’s out of insulin and you need to fill the cartrige

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing this with us. We will be sure to document your suggestion here with the appropriate team members for consideration.

### 2/5 — App

*2022-11-01*

Endlich bitte eine funktionierende App bringen und keine Simulation

### 4/5 — Good addition but could be improved!

*2022-01-01*

I like being able to see what my pump is doing without digging it out. One problem is it doesn’t update as often with out me doing it. The app is set to update in the background.
It would be great if you could blouses from the app.
If these two issues were solved I would give it a solid five.

**Developer response:** Thank you for reaching out and sharing this feedback with us. We are always looking for ways to improve, so we will be sure to pass this along to our App Developers.

### 2/5 — Just OK

*2021-08-17*

The app is ok but my main complaint is that it shows mmol/l with no option to change to mg/dl . I am in a country that uses mg/dl and I do not want to have to calculate what my numbers would be in mmol/l . In response to the reply from the developer. This is for the Tsimulator. If it were for the Tconnect I would have reviewed the Tconnect

**Developer response:** Hi Zina. Thank you for this information. Can you please send these details to us at TandemCares@TandemDiabetes.com so that we can help take a look into this for you?

### 2/5 — Schlechte Funktion

*2021-03-24*

Nur mäßig funktionierende App mit IPhone bzw. IPad IOS.
System hakt immer wieder.

### 3/5 — Not what I expected.

*2021-01-15*

This app shows you what the pump would look like, but does not give you a realistic experience with it at all. You can’t actually simulate doing anything.

**Developer response:** We appreciate this feedback. Please note, this app is meant to allow the user to try out our pump interface on their mobile device. You should be able to experiment with pump settings, create personal profiles, or do some practice bolusing at meals. If you are having trouble with this, please be sure to let us know at (877) 801-6901, Option 1, then Option 2. Thank you!

### 4/5 — Great, but have a complaint

*2020-10-24*

So first off: I love the simulator. It’s amazing and very realistic, but I wish you could actually go through and like pretend to change the pump. I feel that would make it more realistic. Otherwise, this app is very amazing :)!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! We appreciate the suggestion and will be sure to document this with our Product team for consideration.

### 3/5 — I wish

*2020-09-15*

If it worked with the Dexcom, I could also see what is happening with blood sugar and pump. Because the Decomshows on pump it will not show on Dexcom simply thing. I tried and can only get it on a Dexcom machine. So sad.

**Developer response:** We would like to get in contact with you and see how we can help. Can you please reach out to our team directly at (877) 801-6901, option 1? Thank you!

### 2/5 — Adapter now so where’s the real app?

*2020-06-10*

I hope Tandem knows that Apple has a USBC Lightning adapter with a port to plug in USB devices in iPad and has a lightening plug so you can plug in a pump( if Tandem had the actual app that uploads reports from the pump for not just a computer but iPad) and a port to plug in the iPad power plug. This means you can plug in a camera or other usb devices and import to iPad and provide power for each at same time. Hopefully Tandem developers a function app for iPad soon.

**Developer response:** We are developing a mobile application, the initial version of which is being developed to display t:slim X2 Pump information, and provide wireless uploads of pump data to a user’s t:connect account. However, because there are many steps in developing and bringing a product to market, we’re not able to provide estimated timing on commercial availability for our pipeline projects. Updates on this kind of information are typically provided on our quarterly earnings calls.

### 1/5 — Occlusions

*2019-06-19*

this app give you basic functions. However real life, it's nothing like this simulator if they had an occlusion that came up every day or two then you might be talking about a real world simulator for this Insulin pump Simulator Tandem Has a problem with occlusions before warned before you purchased this pump. It's a real life issues. Occlusion stops All Insulin delivery you must change cartridge infusion set tubing. If you are out you do not have these items on hand. This will Cause your blood sugar to go extremely high. your customer service reps are rude they seem to have a attitude. I called about a faulty sensor related to the Dexcom G6 The rep sounded hesitant to replace it. Defective or faulty sensors are required to be replaced according to FDA guidelines.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for letting us know you're experiencing this. Our Customer Technical Support team is well versed on guiding users through identifying why an issue like unusually frequent occlusion alarms may be occurring. Please call us at (877) 801-6901 for assistance.

### 2/5 — Not a simulator

*2019-06-11*

If you can navigate a web browser to view the sales material on Tandem’s website, don’t waste your time with the app. I thought that it would actually “simulate” using the pump, or at least let me scroll through the menus. It does not.

**Developer response:** Hi there. You should be able to navigate through all the menu settings. When you first open the simulator, please be sure to select the 1-2-3 sequence at the bottom of the pump screen in order to enter into the pump. There, you will be able to select different options on your screen for viewing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst

*2026-03-03, version 6.7.6*

The worst it’s lagging with mine I tried changing the pump and tried changing the cgm but it was not working properly so pls fix this problem

### 1/5 — Fundamentally flawed approach to insulin delivery

*2025-07-29*

The t:simulator does what is sets out to do: replicate the Tandem t:slim insulin pump. The problem is that the pump’s algorithm is flawed. It assumes that basal insulin delivery is always required and perfectly matched to the body’s needs. Of course rates can be infinitely changed throughout the day and from day to day. The problem is that diabetes is not a constant. It has patterns, but varies from day to day. The pump’s algorithm assumes that the programmed basal rate.is always required and is therefore ignored when calculating the insulin on board. i.e. the active insulin in the body is ignored, even though a school boy could see that the amount of remaining active insulin is critical when determining the next food bolus. This results in completely unnecessary glucose highs and lows, yet the insulin on board information could easily be displayed. Tandem needs to pay attention to the experts by experience who could very easily guide them to make simple life changing improvements to their technology. But there is no way of feeding back customers’ dissatisfaction with their product. They are simply interested in selling their substandard product.

### 1/5 — Don’t care

*2024-08-08*

Where is the tandem app for Canada, if u don’t want to bring it here, fine at least tell us, and if that’s case, I want my money back so I can go to your competitors

### 1/5 — Was soll das?

*2021-05-07*

App kann nicht interaktiv bedient werden, dass ist keine Simulation.

### 1/5 — T:simulator app & pump review

*2021-02-17*

This app is absolutely useless. The actual tandem x2 slim pump (w/ basal IQ) is an amazing pump for T1 diabetics and with dexcom!
Tandem has YouTube videos that are much more versatile in understanding this pump however I strongly recommend training with a diabetic educator (either from your clinic or via tandem team).

### 1/5 — Canadian release

*2021-02-14*

I was told at the beginning of 2020 that the companion app would be released in Canada ‘soon’. It’s been a year and still no new news.

### 1/5 — Unable to open once downloaded

*2021-02-08*

This app won’t open once downloaded on a iphone11 ?

### 1/5 — Could be good

*2021-01-27*

I really wish that tandem would release the Bluetooth so that you can control the insulin pump via Bluetooth on your phone, much like this app shows you how to control the pump it would be ideal for those who are blind or visually impaired to be able to control the actual pump via Bluetooth so that they too could use a insulin pump with screen reader technology.

### 1/5 — App auf dem Handy

*2020-08-27*

Leider wird mir auf meinem I phone nur die amerikanische Version der App installiert. Auch Mehrfaches versuchen brachte keinen Erfolg. Ich brauche die deutscheVersion für meine berufliche Tätigkeit als Pumpen-Beraterin.

### 1/5 — Not very useful for me.

*2019-08-13*

I think the app is primarily aimed at getting you to buy the cgm. Most things I tried did not work and could not get display up for t slim without cgm. Perhaps it’s me but definitely could be more user friendly.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Pump app

*2024-11-24, version 6.5.5*

A simulator app to get familiar with the t:slim pump is great, but what everyone really wants is the app to control and manage the pump.

### 5/5 — T-Connect app

*2024-03-31, version 6.5.3*

Hello, I already work with the Tandem pump and was wondering when the T-Connect app will be available for Belgium/Europe? Greetings Glenn

### 5/5 — Usless

*2023-10-06*

I’m more than a year into my diabetes unless you make a feature like the practice that is actually your pump I’m only giving 5 stars so everyone will look at it

**Developer response:** We're always looking for ways to improve, so please feel free to share any feedback or suggestions you have for us directly at TandemCares@TandemDiabetes.com and we will be able to assist further.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2022-06-19*

I don’t know what to say it is amazing

### 5/5 — Great app, especially for education.

*2019-03-12*

We used this app prior to getting the pump. I used it without any training/explanation and it was simple to use. You must use the password 1 2 3 to unlock it. If the screen goes to sleep, just tap the on the top edge where a silver button is.
Also used this app for training 2 teachers and 2 teacher’s aides at school. It took them 15mins to comprehend the app without ever seeing/handling it.
I find it harder to write a review than use this app🤭.

### 5/5 — Fantastic tool

*2019-02-27*

So good to be able to ‘test’ a pump before deciding wether to get it. I hadn’t looked at how the pump operated before trying the simulator so took me a while to work out unlocking the screen but then it was fantastic! Excited to receive my T:slim pump in a fortnight and will keep using the simulator to get accustomed to it until then.

### 5/5 — Excellent tool for pre pump start up

*2019-02-07*

Please ignore all negative reviews, they are from people who didn’t follow the correct procedure.
To start the simulator, you need to tap the ‘password’ 1 2 3 buttons (this is how you will access the real pump as well). Once you ‘unlock’ the simulator, you will be able to access all areas of the pump to see what you can do with it.
An excellent pre-pump tool that has our family ready to go with the real pump.

### 5/5 — T:slim rules

*2019-01-16, version 5.5.3*

This it great

### 5/5 — Works well with my iPhone XS!

*2018-11-30*

I just downloaded this app because I am very interested in getting this pump and I have no issues with it on iOS 12 or iPhone XS. It’s great! I look forward to getting a feel of the pump via a simulator.

### 5/5 — Awesome Product

*2018-06-18*

I own a t:slim X2 pump and have LOVED it. If you have ever thought about buying one you should!! Best decision I have ever made. Soooo simple to use and takes no time!!
