## What is TTNSRadio?

The​ Thursday Night Show is a live Internet show combining Internet Radio and Artist Expos. This App gives you full access to the station, catchup content, live chat and art and imagary!

With the price of a beer in a club beyond sane, and most of us growing up with  responsibilities this is the way to make your Thursday evening in into an evening out... Perhaps turn the stream up, open a bottle of wine and have a Kitchen Disco!!!

And we realise no one wants to sit and stare at a laptop screen all night.

We think you would prefer to listen to a range of music that is, most importantly, either a live DJ mix or a band from somewhere in the world, and at the same time see some images shown  live by their creator  on our real time 'canvas' to wallpaper your room while you listen in..

We have live chat room links available with the DJs and artists so if you LIKE their work and say hi in the chat room they will respond there and then..

- Live Canvas Embed
  - Replaced legacy artstream polling with an embedded web view in the main artwork area.
  - Canvas now shows the correct DJ ident and updates in real time.
  - Canvas artwork is also forwarded to CarPlay as Now Playing artwork.

-Now Playing JSON Feed
  - Switched Now Playing text to the JSON API.
  - Uses the `track` field (e.g. `Day Z and The Mother`, `Dr Rock`) with fallback to `streamTrack`.
  - Cleans and normalizes the text, with a safe fallback to `"Streaming..."` on error.

- Always-Live Play Behaviour
  - Pause now stops the stream entirely (no in-app buffering).
  - Play always rejoins the live edge by resetting the stream URL and starting fresh.
  - Ensures users are listening to the current live show, not an old buffered position.

- In-App Splash Overlay
  - Added a lightweight in-app splash overlay that mirrors the launch screen:
    - TTNS logo at the top
    - “TTNS Radio” title
    - “The Thursday Night Show” subtitle
  - Overlay fades out once the main UI is ready, improving perceived loading on slower devices.

- Rewind & Schedule URL Update
  - Rewind and Schedule URL updated
  - Adds more reliable loading paths for these pages.
