But lets start off Positive. This App has been a game changer. In the shape of sampling, when i hear a song i can sample it that minute. love it. I have not one bad thing to say about this app, everything is great! …. Until yesterday i started to recieve Playback issue errors. Nothing is fixing this, i use a iPad pro 13in with beatmaker3 , also with AUM and no luck. I have deleted TubeAU, re installed, logged into my youtube account. Nothing works. If there is any help please let me know. ### 4/5 — It works *2021-06-27, version 1.1.5* potential time saver for bringing in YouTube samples. Some areas for improvement include 1, can’t input a YouTube URL, 2, hard to see progress of video timeline, 3, as everyone says must keep applet open or the sound stops, 4, Can log into account but not very useful since unable to browse history. I’m getting a black screen *2021-05-26* I have no idea what goes into making an app and the difficulties which could potentially arise, but from my point of view this just doesn’t work! Again! I can’t see or hear any videos, I’m just getting a black screen, again. Please fix this. I hope that fixes the problems you were having. If not, please contact us via the form on our website. ### 3/5 — No audio when closed *2021-02-17* You cannot hear any audio when app is closed in AUM. This needs to be fixed to enable app to continue playing in the background when closed in AUM. You cannot make changes to AUM while the GUI of the app is open. I think this needs to be fixed. ### 2/5 — Not quite the functionality I hoped for *2020-12-17* For me, the only benefit of this app, is that I can run it through fx via AUM etc. Disappointingly, what it doesn’t do, is play in the background when you switch to another app. Even if you can still hear other sounds sources in AUM. This is also true with Audiobus. So, yes, you can view YouTube in a resizable box, even if there may be a audio sync issue which I’m still checking. It constantly crashes no matter what video I try to play. I can probably get real lucky and play through 3 videos the most and it crashes. Your really just better of sampling from a external device than use this app. I hope they fix this because the idea of this working keeps me from deleting it. **Developer response:** The video delivery system gets updated once every six weeks or so. When that happens, this app stops working and we need to issue an update to fix it. Thank you. ### 3/5 — Crashing *2020-06-14* I use this app for playing guitar backingtracks while I Run AmpliTube on AUM and everything runs through a Focusrite 18i20 2nd gen as soundcard. Everything goes well, but sometimes this app stops working and the entire AUM stops working so I have to restart everything again. Could you check this? I’ve commented about the iFretless apps (which I really hope you will consider adding a mirror view to flip the order of the strings, it is a minor thing that works tremendously ameliorate the iFretless apps), and this one if another one of my huge faves. Also velocity KB. They are all killer apps that come with minor issues. My issue with tube AU? It’s hard to even load it - most of the times it won’t work on AUM or ApeMatrix. This didn’t use to be the case for me before but lately it’s just impossible to use, as soon as I fire up a video on it, it will crash the audio driver and I will be forced to restart my host. I am on iOS 12.4.1 - is this a known issue with my iOS? What can be done? I used to use this all the time, not just to actually sample stuff but to watch YouTube while I was working on patches (when you think about it, it’s a dope thing to do). I wish I could still do this but it’s easily been 2-3 weeks I haven’t been able to use it because it simply crashes 90% of the time. I’d love to be able to use the app again, but I’ve already paid once, can anyone help?? I’ve only rated 1star due to the situation, if I can get resolved I will, of course, put it at 5 stars where it belongs! I’ll plug in to my iPad, dial in a sound using a guitar amp sim app, then I pull up this app on a separate channel in AUM and do a search for what I need to work on (scales styles, etc.). This has helped my playing improve quite a bit. My use of scales has become more impressive, if I do say so myself, my scale knowledge has expanded very well. Scales I didn’t know how to use I was suddenly figuring out how to use within the context of a song. If you’re self taught I think you might enjoy this app. If you have some training in music I think this app will help you sharpen your skills. Other reviews claim it’s buggy but the developer’s been fast to fix those. A bit faster than some people are at fixing their reviews. I use this often and it works great. ### 5/5 — Wowiewowiewoah *2021-03-09* This is an awesome AU for sampling. Commenting for more, thanks for all that you do! Please find a way to sample in Drambo. Unfortunately Google/YouTube has taken to shaking off all third party apps of this nature by constantly switching up their video playback code. This is likely to be because they want exclusivity. To keep up devs have to adjust their apps to work with the new service.
