But at some point in 2024 it stopped being able to play videos. It plays Shorts fine, and you can still scroll through all the thumbnails as you would in the standard YouTube app, but when you actually click on a video it shows a black screen that says “Loading” forever. ChatG tells me this is probably because the developer has not kept pace with YouTube’s updates and it’s no longer fully accessing the site. I could use the regular YouTube app and put up with the ad that most videos start with and still be a head versus this app. I haven’t used it in a long time, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but that didn’t fix it.
