Why not have auto play like everything else instead of additional click ### 2/5 — It Works For Certain Videos? *2026-08-16, version 2.7.1* I don't know why but everytime this app gets and update something starts messing up in it. It doesn't make any sense since updates of apps are normally to fix any bugs or glitches that they may have not make them worse. But after this most recent update it's the app choses which videos I get to see and which videos I don't get to see. I don't know if maybe I'm supposed to pay for the Pro just for this problem to be fixed or what. But it happens a LOT. I'll click on a video to watch and instead I'll get a quick 20 to 30 second ad video instead of the actual video I clicked on. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I've tried clearing both all my cache in the app and the apps history and I've tried restarting both my iPad and iPhone since it's happening on both of them. But nothing seems to work to fix this issue not even an update to it. ### 4/5 — Gute Alternative *2026-08-08* zu Youtube auf jeden Fall leider hab ich das Problem keine Verbindung mit dem Internet ok WLAN aus dann geht's wieder aber dann findet er in einer playlist einige Lieder nicht und überspringt sie obwohl sie da sind ansonsten alles gut bis auf eine Möglichkeit seine Lieder direkt zu favorisieren oder einer playlist hinzufügen dies hab ich noch nicht gefunden. ### 4/5 — Slight issues *2026-08-05, version 2.7.0* It’s a great app in my opinion but I’ve encountered a few things that are small in my opinion but a little annoying. Whenever I’m watching something, sometimes the video disappears when I do click the small window view/minimize (the video will disappear, making me click on the video again, refresh it and click the minimize bottom again. Secondly, at some points two videos would play at once if I was listening to the video beforehand and click the next one. It’s a bit odd and it doesn’t stop until I close out of the whole app and reopen it. Another thing, when I pause the video I’m watching it unpauses for some reason. Still even with these small issues I enjoy the app better than YouTube since there is no ads. ### 3/5 — When it works it works *2026-08-02, version 2.7.0* I’m grateful for being able to watch ad free but since I started using this app I’ll notice one or a few issues that get fixed but within the same update you get new problems. ### 3/5 — Good but needs work *2026-07-29, version 2.7.0* I appreciate the lack of ads, especially with YT ads skyrocketing lately. YouTube has become unusable. I also really like the background play but not during a phone call. Which happens all the time. The app is also EXTREMELY slow, unresponsive, laggy, and filled with UI and functionality bugs. If you remedy these important issues, I’d be happy to subscribe. No ads, can minimize, can play in the back ground, can play with screen off! I'm going to find a way to donate to these people. This fixes so many issues I had with youtube. The UI is a little bit finicky and glitchy but I much prefer that over the insane amount of ads on regular YouTube. However, I just encountered a bug that has massively decreased my ability to use and enjoy the app. The home/back button, which can normally be moved by the user, is partially off-screen and no longer functional. As a result, I can no longer exit out of YouTube Shorts if I begin watching one, and I can also no longer navigate back to view videos/channels from a previous page. When in PIP, resuming a paused video will play the audio, but the video remains paused. Videos not loading, constant glitching, This is probably the most useful app I have and I’d hate to have to stop using it. ### 3/5 — Phone Overheats Overnight After Recent Updates *2026-07-13, version 2.6.1* I’ve used this app regularly for a long time, but recently I’ve noticed a serious issue. On several occasions I’ve left my phone untouched overnight in the exact same place as always, only to wake up and find it extremely hot. I haven’t changed any settings, I’ve simply kept the app updated with each new release. Something clearly isn’t working as it should. Apart from being concerning, I’m worried about the long-term impact on my iPhone’s battery health. Please investigate this, as it wasn’t happening before the recent updates. REPLY; This seems to happen when I use Background Play. There’s no video actually playing on screen just the audio in the background. Even then, the video itself is only around an hour long at most. For example, I might start it around 12am and wake up at 6am to find my phone unusually warm or even hot, despite it having been left untouched for hours. That level of heat simply shouldn’t happen. ### 5/5 — Great App *2026-07-12* I love the app—it’s almost perfect. Allow me to offer a small criticism: When you select a video, it’s a real hassle to close the window after watching it. I try dragging it while holding my finger down, and sometimes I manage to minimize it into a banner at the bottom—phew—but then I have to close it using the X. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always work. Then I close the app and restart it. If there were a solution to this, I’d give it 6 stars. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and support! Why? ### 1/5 — Used to like this before they started charging for no ads *2026-06-13, version 2.6.0* The only reason I ever downloaded this app in the first place was to watch youtube videos with no ads and it was great for awhile but then a week or two ago they implemented a paid subscription that you had to buy to not have to watch ads, which made using the app completely pointless and so i deleted it immediately.
