## What is TUD?

Practice speaking through short city missions.

TUD is a voice-first language learning app for learners who want to build confidence out loud. Choose Spanish, English, French, Japanese, or German, then move through a city map of practical roleplay missions: order a coffee, ask for directions, solve a travel problem, handle an appointment, or join a richer conversation as your level grows.

Why TUD:
- Speak in real time instead of only tapping flashcards.
- Follow a CEFR-inspired A1-C2 progression.
- Explore Madrid, London, Paris, Tokyo, and Berlin language worlds.
- Use Guided, Balanced, or Immersive support before each mission.
- Earn XP, build a streak, and unlock harder practice over time.
- Practise free each day, with TUD Pro for unlimited speaking time, no ads during practice, and early access to advanced missions.

TUD is built for short, focused speaking practice you can repeat daily, whether you are preparing for travel, building everyday confidence, or trying to make language learning feel more like real conversation.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.6 — 2026-09-29

- The Passport page (visa info, journey history) is now fully translated in your app language.
- Fixed mission goals sometimes being hidden when opening the transcript or picking a mission from a list.
- Smoother transcript and coaching animations during missions.
- Clearer wording when a mission is starting.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-09-15

Bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-09-09

Bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-07

Bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-03

Thirteen new London missions. The whole C1 band is now playable, and the last of the B2 band is finished, so London now has forty fully authored missions, with only the C2 band still to come.

Your answers are graded more fairly. London and Paris city missions now judge what you actually said instead of matching one fixed phrase, so a correct answer worded your own way counts.

Long answers are heard properly. A reply past a certain length could previously fail to be transcribed at all.

TUD no longer tells you your connection dropped when it has not.

Better recognition of French verbs, and fixes for objectives that read differently in Dutch, German, Spanish and Portuguese than the mission would accept.
