## What is Tumla?

Tumla is math practice parents and kids do TOGETHER — on a single phone or tablet.

Put the tablet flat on the table between you. The child sits on one side, the grown-up on the other — the parent's half is rotated 180°, so you each see your side the right way up. Two players, one screen, no extra gear.

TWO MATH ADVENTURES
• Defend the Castle — monsters march in carrying math problems. Answer right to knock them back before they reach the castle. Build streaks, earn star showers. Pick 30, 60 or 90 seconds.
• The Big Race — pick your animal and race to the flag. A right answer moves you forward, a wrong one slips you back — first to the finish wins.
Separate records per game and mode, plus a parent report available from the start screen.

WHAT MAKES TUMLA SPECIAL
• Each player picks their OWN level. A grown-up can take on big multiplication and division while a five-year-old practices addition up to 10 — and still have a close, exciting duel.
• Just right — all by itself. The game quietly adapts the difficulty as you play, within the limits you set.
• Real shared play on one device. No login, no account, no waiting.
• Cozy and safe. A soft claymation world. The castle can take damage but never falls — no scary losses.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY
• Duel — separate scores, highest wins.
• Together — shared score, beat your record as a team.
• Solo — short practice rounds: against the clock in the castle, or a friendly ghost in the race.

LEVELS FOR EVERYONE
Addition up to 10, addition & subtraction, times tables 1–5 / 1–10 / 1–12, division, mixed, and big numbers for grown-ups. Choose "Type" (number pad) or "Pick" (three choices) per player.

MADE FOR PARENTS
No ads. Never a subscription — just one optional one-time upgrade (Tumla Complete), guarded by a parental gate. Collects no data — everything stays on your device. Works offline. In English, Norwegian, Polish and Spanish, chosen automatically to match your device.

OUR ADVENTURE
Twelve missions across three places connect the castle and races. Each mission has two stages with a shared correct-answer goal. Finish a round to save your contribution, then return whenever you like — together or solo. Completed missions add keepsakes to your map. The map is shared on this device and does not transfer to other devices.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-09-08

New: Our adventure! Twelve missions connect the castle and races on a shared map. Finish rounds to contribute to the next goal, together or solo. Race now shows the solution after mistakes. Better first-launch language selection, accurate round counts in the parent report and subtraction across the full number range. New Spanish website.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-05

Tumla now speaks Spanish. Pick a language with the flag at the top: Norwegian, English, Polish or Spanish.

More voice in the games: "Time's up", "It's a tie" and "New record" when a round ends, "Almost!" on a wrong answer, "Ten seconds left" on the castle clock, and three different cheers instead of one.

The castle now calls out lead changes in a duel, the way the Big Race already did.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-02

Tumla now speaks Polish. Pick a language with the flag at the top of the start screen: Norwegian, English or Polish.

The Big Race: the sum travels along the track with the animals, and the voice calls out when the lead changes.

Grade level: switch practice areas within a grade on and off, for example only multiplication in grade 4.

A tidier start screen. Records and profiles carry over.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-11

Mathfort is now Tumla — same app, same games, new name. Records and profiles carry over.

NEW: pick levels by school year (from age 6 to grown-up), or "Even duel", which adjusts the grown-up to the score so the race stays close all the way.

Also: a simpler start, a clearer lead and a new finish gate in The Big Race, and faster loading.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-07

NEW: Mathfort Complete — one optional one-time upgrade that unlocks the full times tables (up to 12), division and mixed categories, every animal and knight, the parent report, and all future games. Pay once — never a subscription, never ads. A grown-up question (parental gate) guards the purchase.

Played Mathfort before this update? Then you keep everything — free, as a thank-you for being early.

The core stays free for everyone: both games, addition and subtraction, multiplication up to 5. And as always: no ads, and the app collects no data.
