### 2/5 — Too many ads

*2023-12-22*

Every time I try to click a note, there’s an ad. If you want to hear the note being played, you have to tap the not but then an ad pops up and it doesn’t even play the note. It’s very annoying to see an ad every time I switch notes and it makes it unnecessarily difficult to tune my cello.

### 3/5 — Want to love this app

*2023-11-04*

The ads are super annoying. Once the ad stops, the sound stops on the tuner. I want to hear the note again, and the ads start again playing over the tone. Other than that works great. I’d like to be able to purchase a way to kill the ads.

### 4/5 — Don't recommend if you hate adds

*2022-11-04, version 2.3*

I like this app, it tunes my cello correctly. But every time I switched notes to tune my cello an add would always pop up and I became really annoying

### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2021-12-28, version 2.3*

It works fine but every time you click on a note to tune an ad pops up.

### 4/5 — Why i gave it The rating i did

*2021-12-19, version 2.3*

I gave this a 4 star review because it gives you to add it between every string so whenever I went to a different string and gave me an ad and if I am in class I can’t be watching ads I need tune my instrument and move on but otherwise I love it

### 4/5 — Decent

*2021-12-19, version 2.3*

It’s pretty cool if you ask me, right now I am a 5th grade cello guy in school and It’s pretty good. The metronome was decent but up side to side with my teachers, it’s ok.

### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2021-12-10, version 2.3*

Oh yes there are ads! After every single move you make. I would have really liked this app but am deleting it instead.

### 2/5 — Gets the job done but too many ads

*2021-12-10, version 2.3*

It worked well and is easy too use, but every time I change the note/string I want to tune I’m given an ad. Usually a TikTok add, so I’m wondering if it’s affiliated or something. I’m going to find another app and wouldn’t recommend this one.

### 3/5 — I will pay to remove the constant ads

*2021-10-25, version 2.3*

I like the idea of the app, but the nonstop ads after every single click is excessive and is not optimal UX design. I would prefer to pay for it than wait for every ad to load to tune a G string.

Please contact me for more information if there’s a payment option for this app available.

### 3/5 — Could be better.

*2021-07-20, version 2.3*

The tuning is mostly accurate but it could be better. I have been using the app to tune because I don't know how to tune by ear. I can hear that the sounds are different but can’t really figure out if it’s flat or sharp.

### 3/5 — What it doesn’t say and ads

*2020-10-27, version 2.3*

Even though its a really good app but it only says is its really low and really high it doesn’t say if its flat or sharp i think it gives ads really unfairly and you take like 10 mins just to tune your cello

### 4/5 — First thing, adds. Other than that, it’s great!

*2020-09-07, version 2.3*

When I first got on to the app, I saw the home page for 0.5 seconds, then an add. I change the note setting, add. Other than all of the adds it’s a great and easy app. I do recommend it.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2020-08-25, version 2.3*

I love the tuner, it’s great, not many ads like other reviews say. The metronome is way too quiet though, no other noise in my room, I’m not even playing my cello, and I can barely hear the metronome even with my phone at full volume, then when I go on other apps with noise it’s loud so I know it’s not my phone it’s the app

### 4/5 — Good but...

*2020-08-14, version 2.3*

Hi this is AWSOME. There is just one problem.
1. THE ADS
Seriously-whenever I press a note, BOOM. Ad. And most of the time, it’s black and I have to kick out and come back. Then? ANOTHER BLACK AD. And the worst thing is... WHEN I SWITCH TO METRONOME IT AUTOMATICALLY BLACK ADS ME
Other then that? OP

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — scam

*2023-02-03, version 2.3*

this app is a huge scam! My sister couldn’t find her tuner so i downloaded this app, it said that all of her notes were in tune but she said it sounded wrong. after she looked again for her tuner, she found it and checked her cello and all of her notes were out of tune! don’t waste your time downloading this fake app. it also has many ads and you litteraly can’t tune because of all the ads. don’t download!

### 1/5 — Nothing but irrelevant ads

*2022-10-16, version 2.3*

Got the note played once and before I could even get any feedback on how far off I was or hear the note again, it was off to some random ad, over and over. Deleted it after a few minutes

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2022-05-22, version 2.3*

Notes were completely off and every time you click you have to watch a 5 second add that plays over the note you’re trying to tune. Very inaccurate and annoying

### 1/5 — Ads make it useless, tuner inaccurate

*2022-04-29, version 2.3*

I get it, a free app needs ad revenue, but when I’m supposed to play my pitch and I can’t see the tuner because I have to close out of an ad first, it makes tuning a lot more annoying than it needs to be. And that happens with every note. On top of that, the pitch I played was several cents off the example pitch but the tuner still said it was in tune? There must be good tuning apps out there but this ain’t it.

### 1/5 — Wow that was bad

*2022-04-15, version 2.3*

There is an advertisement every time you touch it. Then I tuned with a different app and it did not agree with this one. So this one is either wrong or I was just rushing to get out as fast as possible. Either way wow that was bad. I’m sure they sold as much data as they could gather on me in the 5 minutes I had this horrible app.

### 1/5 — Pop-up Ads after EVERY SINGLE BUTTON

*2022-01-18, version 2.3*

TERRIBLE APP DESIGN. I could’ve actually given this app 5 stars because it forced me to learn how to tune by ear purely out of spite. If you wish to spend 3-5 minutes watching and dodging advertisements while trying to tune your cello, this is the app for you. I could understand a pop-up upon entry but for gods sake this is quite literally unusable

### 1/5 — An ad every time you touch it…

*2022-01-12, version 2.3*

Functionality of the app seems to be fine, but… seriously every time you touch the screen it starts a 5 second ad. I missed the button (don’t judge me) to change strings while tuning and had to wait through an ad so I could actually select the correct string… and then had to wait through another ad. It’s infuriating. I’m out.

### 1/5 — Too many Ads

*2022-01-06, version 2.3*

The tuning part of the ad is alright, but my real problem is that every time you switch to tune a new note it gives you an ad. For me it was the same ad 20 times in a row, and it was so annoying.
):

### 1/5 — Too many ads and no option to purchase

*2021-09-25, version 2.3*

This app works for tuning, but when you get an advertisement during every single change of string, you can’t even hear the target note. There is no option to purchase or upgrade to ad free. Pointless app.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t actually use the app because of the ads

*2020-08-13, version 2.3*

Ads come more than every 10 seconds, and they fill the entire screen. Any attempt to close out of an ad takes you to a webpage for the ad instead. No way to pay in-app for no ads. Would give the app 0 stars, it does nothing other than waste your time.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great chello tuner

*2022-09-19, version 2.3*

This app is great for all different kinds of instruments, but it does have a lot of ads so if I wanted to change strings it would give me an ad and that would be a lot of ads because a team strings a lot

### 5/5 — Starting my cello again

*2022-07-12, version 2.3*

I like the tuner but the pop up ads are too much. I will probably invest in something else.

### 5/5 — Perfect 🤩

*2022-05-27, version 2.3*

Works perfectly for me little to no adds easy to understand

### 5/5 — Exactly what I wanted: simple and works good

*2021-02-24, version 2.3*

I’m really grateful I gave this a try. The ads are annoying but it’s free so can’t complain. I love how it plays the sound of the string when tuned correctly first.

### 5/5 — Yay

*2020-09-30, version 2.3*

I have been looking for a Cello Tuner for a long time lots of them have ads every time you press the note, yes this one does but if I turn off Wi-Fi no ads what so ever, so in my opinion this tuner is really cool and just under a minute I got my Cello Tuned and I can now play it’s actually super easy it also has a Metrodome so you can time yourself with the beat so you don’t get mixed up like going to slow or going to fast for me it worked very well and I hope it does for others😊

### 5/5 — 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

*2020-05-04, version 2.3*

I don’t know why everybody gave it such negative reviews. It is a really good app. It is simple and easy to use. I personally didn’t get that many ads, but if you have a bunch of ads would it make just more sense to turn off the Wi-Fi when you use it?🤔 Anyway, it’s a really good app and I thought I’d just wright this review.

### 5/5 — Pretty good

*2020-03-30, version 2.3*

It is pretty good most of the time but it is not the most efficient way. But for the most part it is an amazing app.

### 5/5 — for all the people who say that every time you click it makes an ad

*2019-11-27, version 2.3*

Great app. One thing though is to not click below the letters but above. If you click below it spawns an ad.

### 5/5 — Cello Tuner is not accurate

*2019-11-19, version 2.3*

All I see on here are ads and too high and too low,it won’t tune, I turned on the c setting and played and a and it said in tune.

### 5/5 — I recommend this app ❤️😍

*2019-11-05, version 2.3*

I think this is a good tuner for cellos and I like that it has other instruments that you can tune too and that it is very useful because it also has a metronome I like this app but I wish it didn’t have ads.
