### 2/5 — Ads

*2023-03-27*

I just wanted this for a quick tuning before an assignment and every time I clicked it to change the string tuning thingy it would give me an ad. I mean okay I excepted some but if you want a quick not frustrating tune I suggest you look for something else because this is just not it. I did give it another star just because it does tune pretty good but the whole ads thing ruined it for me :(

### 2/5 — What you need to know about this app

*2022-12-29, version 2.5*

Every time I click on something it always turns to a ad and the you have to have premium to remove the ads and I’m getting sick and tried of listings to the same ad about guitar it this is a violin app so I guess they telling us to delete this app and get a guitar app

### 2/5 — Good, but not the best

*2022-11-19, version 2.5*

It is pretty good and I like using it to tune my violin. However, I don’t like how you receive an add every single time you click something. Why can’t you remove adds completely. Overall, this a pretty good app to use to tune your violin. Remove the adds though please. Or don’t use as much adds compared to now.

### 4/5 — Decent

*2022-11-01, version 2.5*

Decent tuner but pay the .99$ to get rid of ads or forget it. My only issue is my phone doesn’t seem to recognize it in use and goes to sleep and the app pauses, doesn’t last long. There doesn’t seem to be an way to adjust settings on this app. Please advise it it won’t be of any use .

### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2022-07-17, version 2.5*

This tuner works well and is easy to use, and I appreciate that. There are, however, an excessive number of ads. I understand the use of and need for ads in supporting an app or a company, but one pops up every time I try to tune another string, making the process painfully long.

### 2/5 — Mediocre

*2022-06-11, version 2.5*

I was looking for a good tuner app, and this one was free so I said why not download it. There are two functions, a tuner and a metronome. The metronome works fine, although they could have chosen a less annoying sound for the tick sound and it’s REALLY, REALLY QUIET. I can’t hear it at all when playing violin. The tuner is also very unhelpful. It’ll give you the general ballpark of where the string’s supposed to be, but the ‘perfect’ message shows even when it’s noticeably flat or sharp on any string. It’s not suitable for a violin student or amateur, never mind professional, it’s just not specific enough. Also, there’s about a billion ads. TLDR: Metronome’s fine but tuner isn’t fine-tuned enough (pun completely and utterly intended)

### 3/5 — Too many ads!

*2022-02-13, version 2.5*

I just want a violin tuner, not an app you use to see the google ad for unicorns. It is soooo frustrating trying to tune all my strings when I have to listen to the google ad 5 million times. If you even touch the screen in the slightest, you have to listn to an ad. Ths is ℂℝ𝔸ℤ𝕐!

### 2/5 — The ads make usage impossible.

*2022-02-02, version 2.5*

I've been trying to use this app, but the way the ads are implemented — showing up after every single note — is noisy in a way that makes me forget about the note immediately after previewing it. So I have to try to press it again, which brings up another ad, which makes me forget about the note again... Absolutely useless.

I know there's a premium option, but I don't pay a premium for things unless I find the free version useful.

### 3/5 — Ads..

*2021-12-10, version 2.5*

So I know you can pay to remove the ads, but if like me you’re unwilling to do that, this app is rendered basically useless because there is SO many ads. When I first downloaded there weren’t as many ads and the app seemed to work well then, but now it’s worthless.

### 3/5 — Good but too many ads

*2021-12-06, version 2.5*

I like it and it helps me get tuned really well, but way too many ads. Every time you click something, you get an ad. Also, it’s the same as every time. Please work on this so I don’t have to take as long to tune my violin. Thanks.

### 2/5 — Not worth it

*2021-11-25, version 2.5*

Way too many ads. You have to watch a five second video every time you click on any button. And the app doesn’t seem very accurate. It would give me the same indication of “in tune” even when I had turned my tuners a bit. No indication to see how close you are to being in tune. A needle is the better way to show it.

### 2/5 — Not to good

*2021-07-21, version 2.5*

It helps you kinda but other than that it’s awful. I just tried to tune 1 string and I counted I got an add every time I clicked one of the notes. Their not long 30 second adds but they might as well be. I deleted this app and just ended up buying one for 3.99 instead. If it didn’t have the adds every two seconds it would be great. Trust me don’t get this app you will regret it.

### 1/5 — Meh…

*2021-06-15, version 2.5*

This app helps me and at some points does not help me. I have been playing violin for some years now but I can not really tune cause my teacher does it for me. When I practice, my violin usually goes out of tune so it is hard to play. I downloaded this app mostly to help me tune my violin. It was HORRIBLE. My violin sounded nothing like it was supposed to sound like and it said it was IN TUNE. The metronome helps though. The one star is for that. Other than that Horrible app and if you download it for tuning, DON’T.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too many ads and incorrect tuning.

*2023-01-14, version 2.5*

I got this app to tune my violin when I am practicing, but I can’t press any button without getting and ad. It makes the tuning process very difficult or even impossible unless you have a lot of patience. Also, it told me my violin was in tune when I haven’t touched it in two days. I knew there was something wrong. Overall, if you need to tune your instrument, get another tuner.

### 1/5 — The ads render it useless.

*2022-07-20, version 2.5*

While I don’t mind the ads being there, (dev needs to eat…) the fact that they start as soon as you tap a note means I don’t get to hear it. The first note is usually fine but all subsequent ones get cut off. If the ads were placed elsewhere or there was at least a delay before they popped up, this app would be perfect. Uninstalling and looking for a different app that actually lets me hear the tone I’m supposed to be tuning to.

### 1/5 — Terrible tuning app...get Pano Tuner instead

*2022-06-27, version 2.5*

Way, way, way too many ads. I get that there will be ads but not every single time you hit a button on the app. Also, this app is another prime example of the rigged rating system in the Apple App Store. There's no way that any app with so many one and two star ratings can possibly have a four-plus star rating. Impossible. Do yourself a favor and get Pano Tuner, it's free plus it has a 99 cent full version that simply can't be beat...it's not only more versatile but extremely accurate. You'll be glad you did. Don't waste your time with this app.

### 1/5 — Free version is trash

*2022-05-15, version 2.5*

Selecting any note to tune will prompt an ad. This means in order to tune your violin you will have to at least sit through four ads, if not more. Sometimes it’ll even lose my selected note and reset to “home,” so I have to re-select the same note I was working on, and sit through an additional ad. I have never deleted an app so fast.

This app should work for anyone who does not value their own time.

### 1/5 — Not accurate, and too many ads

*2022-04-20, version 2.5*

So I got this app to help with my tuning, and I saw a few negative reviews saying that it doesn’t tune properly, and that there were a lot of ads, but I thought it couldn’t be that bad. I was wrong. Every single time you click on a note to hear it and to tune it, you get an ad. I can’t even hear how the notes supposed to sound because of the ads. And if that isn’t enough, the app doesn’t even work. I was going through the notes to tune my violin that hasn’t been touched in a week, and the app said that they are in tune, which just can’t be right. So I got curious how sensitive this app is to the correct note, and so I played a g sharp while is was checking the g string, and it said it was in tune. I tried this on all the strings and it said the same thing. Don’t get this app, it’s a waste of time and effort

### 1/5 — So many ads!

*2022-02-27, version 2.5*

Open the app, and it tells you to click a note. You click it, it starts to play the note but throws up an ad. Ok. That was annoying. Get done with the ad. Maybe it’s just the first time. No. It’s not. This app is literally useless because everytime you try and play a note to match, it plays an ad on top of the note. Garbage.

### 1/5 — No just no

*2022-02-12, version 2.5*

I do not recommend this app at ALL. I just tried to test it out before I tuned any of the fine tuners, and it said it was in tune. Which would be fine but my music teacher hasn’t tuned my violin in 3 weeks there is no way that it could be right. And if it is right and I am wrong there is more than one issue with this app. There are so many ads I clicked on the note I wanted to check there was an add, I clicked on a new note there was an ad, if I bumped a note ad. I get they need to make money off of this but still. Finally the instructions aren’t very clear maybe it’s just me but I can’t get the higher or lower to go at all it’s stuck on one and if I turn the fine tuners either way it will not change. I am a beginner and I might be doing it wrong but still. Hopefully this helps someone.

### 1/5 — The worst app

*2021-12-29, version 2.5*

For each button you click in this app you get a add this is absolute trash sometimes it wouldn’t even WORK for me plz fix this problem. You also need to put down your bow a to click each button as soon you click the buttons a add appears plz don’t download this app. I only tried it because it had 4.1 stars.

### 1/5 — Ads. Too. Many.

*2021-11-27, version 2.5*

Every time I’m looking to click on a new string (No need for that but I guess it’s just the design) an ad pops up and I understand you need to make money somehow but it’s just all in your face. Ads everywhere. The app doesn’t even take up the whole screen because there are ads filling the entire perimeter or the screen. Other than that issue, I guess it’s fine. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay for premium anyway so I’ll live with it or pick a new app.

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2021-07-02, version 2.5*

I’m sorry but I have to give this app a 1 star.
First: whenever the app said it was tuned it was always too high or too low and was never actually in tune
Second: there are so many ads. Whenever I switch a string it always showed an ad and I know they have to show ads but there was just so many for one string

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I only put full starts so you could see this.

*2023-07-03*

Honestly, I was playing violin for four years, and I never knew that I could have my own personal tuner in an app. Well, that was a mistake because first of all all tuner apps aren’t accurate and here comes this app, and every single time I press something on the screen and ad pops up and it got me really frustrated so i paid the one dollar to remove the ads and yet there were still ads. Then I pressed restore purchases so I can get my money back and I didn’t get my money back so I wasted one dollar to remove ads and I didn’t get it back. And the metronome is really off. If you want a fast pace metronome you have to press it a lot of times and it’s really annoying. Honestly I hate this app. It’s really bad and I do not recommend it just get one of those tuners you can get at the store for $14. It’s much better trust me. this app is such a waste of time.

### 5/5 — When you tap on the note

*2022-11-06, version 2.5*

When I tap on the note it makes me watch a add and I don’t like that but other than that it’s amazing it helps my violin get in tune so I can play my music correctly.

### 5/5 — Can u remove adds pls

*2022-10-01, version 2.5*

Every time I click a button it just has an add

### 5/5 — AWSOME!!!!

*2022-08-19, version 2.5*

At first I was like “oh this app is very good! But it has a lot of ads…” so I wrote a 4 star review, and then noticed there was a premium I could buy and it removes ads, and I was like “ooo maybe it doesn’t cost much” and OH BOY I was so right! It only costed ONE DOLLAR! I love this app! The tuning is very accurate too!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-06-13, version 2.5*

So, lots of people say they don’t like this app. I’ve played violin for about 5 years now and i can tell when it’s not in tune and when I use the app it is in tune. My violin teacher also agreed with me in saying this app works. It worked on my acoustic violin and it works on my electric violin. Thank you for making an amazing app -Elliegirl225

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2022-06-13, version 2.5*

This app helped me a lot when my dad got me a violin after school had ended for summer vacation. We used this app the tune the violin and now it sounds perfect! Thank u for creating the app and helping many ppl with their instrument/violin. also thank you for creating the other apps that are for other instruments!

### 5/5 — It works OK

*2022-01-03, version 2.5*

I have a really nice student half size violin about $400 and I used to use my piano but now I could just go on my phone when I’m away from my piano

### 5/5 — Good

*2021-02-16, version 2.5*

Good tuner, sometimes though it gets annoying because you tap the note, and it doesn’t identity immediately recommended

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2021-01-10, version 2.5*

Guys this app is amazing I will raise a 10 out of 10 not just a five island had to my violin by myself because a violin tuner it help me a lot of how hot is a little worse so I will turn my peg up if it was low and I would turn my pig down if it was hight thank you so much around 29 for helping me to my violin

### 5/5 — To the best but works great

*2020-09-17, version 2.5*

I couldn’t tune my violin by ear very well, but once I used this app I got my violin tuned up before I went to school. It’s a super easy and great app to use. You can tune a lot of different string instruments on this app. I even found a banjo one. LOL! Best app I’ve used for school so far! There are some flaws though. It glitches out on me and kicks me out plus the adds are annoyingly
