Should be able to pick the day I want to come in first, then tell me who is scheduled to be working to choose from. ### 2/5 — New App is terrible *2022-01-29, version 5.0.0* The new interface is awful. The previous version was much easier to navigate because more information was presented on a screen. With the new app, if you select a stylist and they don’t have any availability, you’ve got to back all the way out and start again. Previously, you could see all the stylists and their openings on one screen. Plus the services menu is a mess too. It does not let me check in or see wait times! What is the point? Even places like Sports Clips have great apps!! I really like the girl who cuts my sons hair but I hate the fact that I can’t make an appointment and we end up waiting for up to an hour to see her! If the app worked, I wouldn’t have this problem! ### 1/5 — Terrible app. Nothing works. *2018-12-24, version 2.1.12* Been waiting for this app for a while. I love this salon, but even cheap places like Great Clips have an app with online check in and estimated wait times. I was happy to see that TuneUp finally got on board. Unfortunately, the app that they put out here is terrible. Poor aesthetics, limited functionality. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time *2018-12-22* Whoever created this app didn’t test it in their smart phone, or at least an iPhone. Lettering overlaps each other, if you try and register all the files are in black so you can see how to fill it out, times are repetitive for no reason. All around bad app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — UI Stinks *2026-06-09, version 5.15.6* Trying to see/pick a time is impossible. On the screen that “shows” them the top and bottom banners are huge, can’t be resized, and can’t be dismissed. This leaves about a 2mm window to see the available times, if you are very delicate and a bit lucky. ### 1/5 — PLZ TUNE UP THE APP *2025-11-13, version 5.15.6* I jst downloaded this app and I can’t even find my store location. I don’t even know why it exist if you make an appointment for a specific time you’re still at the back of the waitlist for walkins. I made an appointment showed up five minutes before the appointment and told I would have a two hour wait the app makes absolutely no sense unless you’re actually going to honor appointments! ### 1/5 — Can’t even make an account *2022-04-27, version 5.0.0* Tried making an account through the app and after 3 attempts of putting in my cell phone number to get sent a verification code I’ve given up. So odds are I’ll be looking for a new hair salon because this evening I was told the app is the only way to get in the que cause they aren’t taking appointments anymore….much to my annoyance because at 5:30 pm when I spoke with someone at the location they told me they could get me in, only to arrive and they tell me they can’t take care of me and that I needed to download the app. Free alcohol isn’t worth this headache. ### 1/5 — What is the point? *2022-02-26, version 5.0.0* There is literally no point in having this app. You “make an appointment’ for a set time, but get put in the queue as a walk in when you check in. Make an appointment for 10 and arrive at 9:55? You are put in the queue just like everyone else. You literally are a walk in. This app provides no tangible advantage and is only useful for wasting space on a phone. ### 1/5 — New App Needs a Tune Up *2022-02-04, version 5.0.0* Frankly, it’s a disaster. When it was released it wouldn’t recognize my account, so I created a new one using the same email address and phone number. That tells me the old account was deleted. Fine. Go into the Salon and they have no record of my VIP membership under the new account. Receptionist says I have two accounts and she needs to merge them. What she meant was she needed to delete the account tie to the app. Fast forward to today and, as expected, I have to create an app account (again). Looking forward to it getting deleted next week. Now for the app itself. It’s next to impossible to schedule an appointment based on a date and time that’s convenient for me. First, select the service and then I have to pick a stylist. No, I want to pick a time and see who’s available. I’ll adjust accordingly. Instead, I have to play some stupid guessing game. Beyond frustrating. ### 1/5 — Terrible Update *2022-02-01, version 5.0.0* The recent “update” is awful. Zero functionality and not at all user friendly. I can’t even get my store location to pull up. When you do, you’re not able to see the stylists available. I’m not sure who approved this app upgrade, but they need to change it back. ### 1/5 — App hasn’t been updated in a year *2020-09-24, version 2.1.14* App hasn’t been updated in a year and honestly it looks years older than that. It serves no real purpose as far as I can tell. When it was working, it was inaccurate as to what the stylists and their schedules were. Now, it just says no availability. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2019-04-22, version 2.1.14* You can just google search the tune up and get the same info as this app. You can’t schedule appointments. It’s great to see if your favorite stylist is available. ### 2/5 — Terrible Haircut Choices *2026-01-17, version 5.15.6* So I used to use this app all the time to book since it gave the option for simply a “haircut” now you have to pick from one of their (might I add) extremely limited haircut styles instead of just a general haircut. What if I don’t want a classic Pour? Is that all they do now? Or braids? I just want a haircut!
