What did I get? Someone (probably an AI voice) reading the book letter by letter. That’s right, not reading words, but spelling out the letters with an occasional full word here and there. Occasionally, I’ve started an audiobook only to find that one or two of the chapters wouldn’t play. Skipping ahead to the next chapter worked fine, but of course, who wants to miss something? All of these problems are occurring in the paid version. It is now playing ads constantly on an infinite loop, with no ability to actually listen to any radio content of any kind. No matter what you do (and I’ve even deleted and reinstalled the app twice now) This is occurs both on my older iPhone and a brand new iPad (circa March 2026). Thought users should know as this is the biggest developer eff up I’ve ever seen in a commercial app, and prevents users from even using their app on any reasonable basis. Then the alarm suddenly stopped working. Error message states I need notifications enabled (they are?). The HomePod will play the commercial that appears on the screen NOT THE RADIO STATION. Switch outback to the iPhone and the radio station stream plays. I’ve never seen an app do this before. 2026 May v 41.5. App continues to decline in function. Listening to an ad and skipping it replace the ad. It appears to be impossible to listen to my local radio station. POSSIBLY THE WORST RADIO STREAMING APP ON THE APP STORE. 40.7.1 seems like they’ve fixed the repetitive ads issue [2026 Jan] 40.0.01- launch the app and listen to ads. Select a station and listen to more ads. The station finally starts to play. OK now send the stream to your smart speaker in my case of HomePod. You’ll enjoy an INFINITE STREAM OF ADVERTISEMENTS. v 33.0.0, June 2025 I’ve used this app to listen to local radio stations in the past. Now the app requires me to listen to 14 ads at 15 seconds each for one station, 9 ads 15 seconds each for the other. ^ V 25.1.1. IPHONE: I’ve used TuneIn for at least a few years now. As of about three months ago, late 2020 to the app launches displaying an ‘oops’ error screen and/or the spinning error wheel. I cannot get the app to work. Had to switch over to another radio app. iPad- app works just fine. ### 1/5 — Stop being annoying *2026-08-17, version 42.2.0* stop your ad on app start up to join premium. I've set up an automation if I enter my car and you greedy people ruin it. If I want premium I would have set it up myself already.
