Not fully compatible with iOS10. It took all of 30 seconds to get connected and playing music via Bluetooth to the car audio. Unfortunately, there are occasional "pops" and static - and the audio is very muffled. My cassette converter sounds far superior. When it's connected the sound quality is great, can't fault it at all and the app allows to set the send volume also. When it doesn't connect, for some reason holding it into the rushing sir out the car window and banging it against the car door actually makes it work. It's a great option if you don't have the all the blows and whistles in your vehicle. The only issue: I have upgraded to the iPhone 6 now and it won't work. Im so frustrated that I thought this thing would trump the Belkin Aircast. It worked a couple of times after plugging in and out, turn phone off, rebooting phone, now I get nothing at all. I contacted New Potato support and all they could tell me is what I had already done. DO NOT BUY!!! DOES NOT WORK WITH IPHONE'S. Waisted my hard earned $$$ ### 1/5 — Does not work with iPhone 5 *2013-07-15, version 1.2.0* It's not the software. For whatever reason the hardware drops Bluetooth connection or will not connect at all with iPhone 5. iPhone 4 and 4s work flawlessly. When it's connected it works great but for whatever reason it is incompatible with the iPhone 5. The sound quality is pretty good. Downside: after about 40 seconds the Tunelink disconnects with a note that the iPhone doesn't support this device. I and a friend have tried every problem solving tactic out there. The company finally told me that they sometimes have trouble with Apple. It would be good if they could fix this bug. ### 2/5 — 2013 Software update needed now!!!! *2013-06-01* Works when it wants too.... And when it does, it's great to have. software is in need of an update because the touch feature is locked when the device doesn't connect. No matter what you try to do such as unplug the device from the car charging port, closing the tune link program etc... it stays locked. it will turn on for a 3 second period but then again switched to the red, not connected... this happens with either the cords are plugged in or not. The only remedy that will work is for you to reset your iPad (home button and power button together) when it does work, its nice to have while driving. The program also locks the screen and will not switch to landscape view. For the price of $100 (+\-) that you pay for this item, i really hope they get us a software update that will fix these issues. Also make the (+) selection for adding songs bigger for your fingers..... ### 1/5 — Garbage *2013-05-31, version 1.2.0* This device & app are miserably frustrating. It worked the very first time I used it but was very spotty after that. Now it just flat out doesn't work. I've tried everything from resetting my phone to re-downloading the app and it still doesn't work. Even when it did work the output volume was terribly low, even on the high setting. Save your money. It's degraded over the last few months, and now it very rarely works for more than a few seconds, if it all. So, I checked the App Store for an update. Looks like it has not been updated in the last 5 years. 5 years is a very, very long time in mobile technology. TuneLink used to be the best thing on the market. Says it's connected through Bluetooth but in the app in settings it says it can't detect it! ### 1/5 — TuneLink - 👎 *2014-07-30, version 1.2.0* Has never worked quite reliably for me as per New Potato's claim and now that I upgraded from a iPhone 4S to 5S it works even worse!😁 I couldn't leave it plugged in lighter in order for the product to auto connect because it would run my relatively new battery down! As far as Customer Service, they were WORTHLESS, not only did it would take a few weeks to actually get a response, I got the same old tired advice which I had read from the help section and tried and was unsuccessful and on my last and final contact, was told that there was a new TuneLink FM Transmitter that worked with the latest iPhone and since I was a current customer, I could buy the updated model for $49.99. I didn't even bother to respond. HOW ABOUT YOU BIG DUMMIES UPDATE THE APP TO WORK WITH APPLE'S UPDATED iOS system since the App is what makes the device have functionality!! The nerve, I wouldn't pay a penny for their "new & improved" product! ### 1/5 — Really needs an update! *2014-04-29, version 1.2.0* First of all, this app doesn't even use up all of iPhone 5 screen!? You need to update. I use the audio jack to feed my Acura’s auxiliary input, not the FM transmitter, and the sound is fantastic. This app still runs fine on iOS14. FWIW I would have purchased a newer vehicle a decade ago had it not been for TuneLink. Instead I start my vehicle, music immediately starts playing from my iPhone via Bluetooth - just like it would in a modern vehicle. ### 5/5 — Worked Great for me on Recent Trip *2015-01-04* I've had my Tunelink for two weeks and so far have been very happy with it. We used it almost constantly during a 16 hour drive to see family over the holidays and it worked flawlessly both ways. During my stayover I was pleasantly surprised when I started up the car and the music came on without prompting. ### 5/5 — iPhone 5 issues fixed! A great product. *2013-08-03* My original Tune Link did not work well with the iPhone 5. New Potato paid to have it sent back for a chip upgrade. Just got it back a few days ago and it has been working great. Every time I hop in the car the music comes through automatically, no thought needed. It's also handy for reassuring myself that my phone is in my handbag or in close proximity when I don't have time to look for it. I find it works best on country roads because there's far less interference from other radio stations. Audio was crystal clear without any interference when travelling large distances around the metro.and across potentially "noisy" industrial areas (with large powerlines). This was a saviour to me as an alternate mechanism to transmit audio from my iPhone rather than spending more expensive and time-consuming methods of integrating through the previously installed bluetooth handsfree kit. After experiencing some difficulty with my device after owning it since January I was actually surprised how easy it was to work with the company and support to get resolution. I have since received my new device and it is working seamlessly once again. My only wish is that I could use it as a hands-free device with my iPhone. However, if my ear buds are plugged in I can play music through car speakers and when a call comes in the ear bud immediately begins ringing. It is a great device and way better than any other modulator I've tried. Both work great and I recommend them. The audio quality is good and they are so automatic that I don't think about them (unless I forget to bring my phone), my car is always filled with my favorite music.
