It crashes when I try to record, when I press on the preferences, when I press on the map, when I try to save a tune to my list. Luckily, saving to my list works after I re-open the app, but it had to crash before I can do that. Now I tried to update but it locked me out of the app and won’t work. I tried sending a message to him on Facebook but can’t because it doesn’t work for people outside of the UK. Even the apple app support doesn’t work. GREAT I now have a useless app that I paid for. And there is no way to contact the developer for any kind of assistance. Hopefully someone will read this and fix this problem. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-03-01, version 2.6* Bought Tunepal for my iPhone (which has over 15GB free and the IOS is up To date). Every time l use the app it falls over and closes. Not happy and definitely do not recommend. It doesn’t always find the right tune, but I wouldn’t expect it to. The accuracy is pretty darn good though. Really happy the app was finally updated and now works offline! I also like that the app does not collect any personal data…all apps should be that way. ### 5/5 — Glad to see Tunepal is back. *2025-02-18, version 2.6* Fantastic tool, and has helped me identify so many tunes that I would have been hopeless in finding otherwise. Thanks so much ### 5/5 — Excellent App. but lost Playback Now. *2024-12-09, version 2.6* I’ve been using TunePal daily for almost a decade and it has proved incredibly useful for finding tune titles and sharing tunes with other musicians. Just recently, it stopped playing back tunes on my iPhone 12 (iOS18) and any attempts to contact the developer failed to get a response. The App was crashing when I pressed play. His last Facebook post says he is working on a completely new version. I wanted to try deleting and re-installing the app, but it had disappeared from the App Store for some weeks. Now it’s available again I was able to delete and re-install it (but lost all my saved tune finds) and it’s playing again- Yipee! Thank Brian - brilliant app. Please keep in touch with your fan base, and all will be well. ### 5/5 — Very good *2023-04-21, version 2.6* Thanks so much to the contributors of this app. Very good version of the classic irish tunes with the discography etc. So good to have this library in my pocket to learn new tunes. ### 5/5 — Great and very useful app. Needs reliable back-end *2023-04-16, version 2.6* This is such a useful app for finding Irish tune names in a session (or even out of your head, if you can play a snippet of the tune on an instrument but can’t recall the title). It does have frequent back-end outages, which prevents tune name lookups and is annoying. It will save them as “Unsubmitted tags” that you can upload later for ID. But by then the moment is usually gone. Hopefully the developer can remedy this issue. Would even be worth a small annual subscription ($5-10) if more money would buy a better backend service. ### 5/5 — Fabulous! *2022-10-13, version 2.6* What an amazingly useful app this is for anyone trying navigate the vast seas of traditional folk tunes.
