For example, just looking for a movie it won’t show up sometimes. For example, if I look for Bridget Jones, nothing shows up. Also before I used to be able to put in the actors name and find the movies they’re in - that no longer works. Also, if I find a movie on the iTunes Apple TV app, and want to add it to the this app so that I could see if the price changes (which is what this app is all about ) I cannot find the movie. For example the movie: wicker Park will not show up in the search engine on your app. I can name of other movies too that I’ve searched and they’re in the Apple Store but yet they won’t show up on your app. So those are the major functions that it should do the three things I named above, but it did before quite well Before. Been using your app for years hoping that you’ll fix these areas that are now major downfalls. Now the app doesn’t function to find any new content on the iTunes Store. Since the new design update certain movies do not show up when I search them. I recommend! ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2025-04-23, version 5.4.4* I've used this app for years and bought tons of movies using it. I do appreciate the developer making an app like this. But it needs to be fixed. I dealt with the flaws in hopes of improvement. I think I've waited long enough. The prices are not accurate. It will show sales, but the movies are full price. I click on a movie and sometimes nothing happens. It's easier to look at the Apple TV store at this point and go through their sales section or search. I have around 1,000 movies through Apple, so I'm not saying this from a point of inexperience. I hope the app is improved, so I'll keep checking back in. But at the moment, it's too unreliable. Please fix these issues so I can continue supporting the app. I will update my review when I see improvements. ### 2/5 — No notifications *2024-01-15* This app was great! I could get notifications when things would drop on my wishlist. Out of the blue I haven’t been getting notifications. My notifications are on in Settings. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. Still nothing. If the notifications would work then this app would be great! **Developer response:** My sincere apologies Erkj72 You were absolutely right, and I just found and corrected the issue. You do not have to update the app since the bug was located in TunesGenie servers. It will take a day or 2 for servers to reprocess late notifications but things should come back in order Monday March 3rd. Frank ### 4/5 — Great app! *2020-12-10, version 5.3.5* This app has been so handy for me as I am trying to transfer all of my hard copy DVDs to digital. The sales have really saved me a lot of money. The only problem I am having is the app does not seem to want to refresh. I have tried force quitting the app, restarting the computer, and I seem to have the latest version. I know sales on movies don’t refresh every day but I know there’s a problem when I go to purchase a movie and the window does not pop up so I can buy it. This does seem to be a newer problem for me. Once this bug is fixed it will be the perfect app! ### 3/5 — Great App but unable to add key things *2020-09-25, version 5.3.2* So I came across this app and for the most part it’s pretty accurate! It said Terminator 2 was on sale for 4.99 and I was able to buy it at the price. What’s really bothering me is some things are not showing up when I type it in like collection/movie bundles. I’m unable to add to my wishlist a majority of the bundles (Matrix Trilogy, Planet of the Apes trilogy, Harry Potter 10 movie bundle). It did notify me of the Jurassic Park 5 film collection deal so it does work for some but not all. I think this app is pretty good it just needs some extra work. ### 2/5 — itunes sign in? for what? *2020-08-03, version 5.2.2* I was very excited to get this app to help me find bargains. Well I was asked to sign in after I downloaded this app. I thought great! It is going to add all of the items I already had on my wish list! Well guess what? It didn’t so what was the reason it asked me to type in my password? To save it? I am now very uncomfortable with this maybe being a phishing app to obtain personal information! Go ahead developers tell me otherwise because I am very upset. ### 5/5 — Live this app! *2020-07-31* I’ve been using this app for months, and it has saved me so much time. In addition to having to constantly select between movie, show, book, and audiobook and then all the sorting options over and over, and then having the search function repeatedly not returning any titles despite those titles being available on their respective platforms, this app has gone from mildly infuriating (having to close it repeatedly for it to work as intended) to severely infuriating to use! ### 1/5 — Crashes *2025-05-23, version 5.4.4* Every time I import my wishlist from iTunes, it always crashes. I thought this app would have been perfect for me as it would have done all the work for me when it came to looking out for movie sales. Well I was very wrong. I’ve been on the lookout for the Harry Potter collection to go on sale, so I added the Harry Potter movies to my wish list. Well last night I was browsing through the discounted movies on iTunes because I was bored and sure enough, there was the Harry Potter movie collection on sale for $50, originally $80. The TunesGenie app did NOT notify me of the discounted price and I almost missed the sale thanks to their false advertising. The notifications are not always the best, but I can still check the app for up to date sales. One of the best apps in the App Store! If you love to build up your digital library, this is a must have. I’ve recommended this app to friends and family and co-workers many times and now I’m recommending it to whoever reads this. ### 5/5 — Long time fan! *2025-07-02, version 5.5.0* I’ve been using this app for years & very helpful for tracking prices of favorite content.
