With Lollapalooza completed, we are excited to take the feedback that we have received to make TuneTransit better than ever. That said, while we work on our next major update, we are also committed to keeping the current experience stable for existing users.

- We have fixed several bugs where songs and albums with special characters would sometimes match incorrectly, resulting in inaccurate results.
- We have fixed a bug where In-App Searches would utilize a slightly different search algorithm than the main application, resulting in sometimes different results.
- We have fixed a bug where our Messages extension would utilize a slightly different search algorithm than the main application, resulting in sometimes different results.

Now Boarding: TuneTransit v2.1.6 - Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements!

Here in Chicago, Lollapalooza is just around the corner, so we know that there is a urgent need to share the latest track of your favorite artist prior to their set. There are always improvements to be made, and here at TuneTransit, we are continuously updating the app for when you need it the most. (And yes, we will be at Lollapalooza on the ground to observe how y'all share music irl)

As part of that initiative, we are releasing Version 2.1.6 to address some pesky bugs and provide improvements for all users, no matter which streaming platform you call home. We definitely recommend installing this one ASAP!

This update contains the following bug fixes and improvements:

Improvements:
- ICYMI: TuneTransit Smart Links now have audio previews, available for all users!
- Searches on Spotify continue to get faster and more optimized! 
- Our syncing logic has been optimized for better performance, especially for users updating between versions or downloading the app for the first time.
- Our syncing animations have also been optimized for better performance in order to occur more seamlessly with the TuneTransit UI.
- For non-premium users, additional information about TuneTransit Premium is also now provided in the Search tab for a better user experience.
- TuneTransit's backend services have been upgraded for better performance.
- TuneTransit's search algorithms have been updated for additional efficiency.

Bug Fixes:
- We fixed several bugs where songs in Recently Played would sometimes be in the wrong order, especially for Apple Music users.
- We fixed several bugs where non-premium users could not properly register for Last.fm, resulting in our Now Playing functionality not working correctly for Spotify and Tidal for those devices.
- We fixed a bug where music artwork would sometimes not update correctly, resulting in a broken image.
- We fixed a bug where YouTube Music searches would sometimes select the wrong version of a track, especially for those that have Live or Karaoke versions available.
- We fixed a bug where the manual search spinner would not properly spin when conducting those searches.

Now Boarding: TuneTransit v2.1.5 - Messages Redesign, Performance Improvements, and Bug Fixes!

With summer in full swing, there is no way to describe all of the beach days, day trips, and dance parties that continue to deliver music to make moments worth remembering. Here at TuneTransit, it is our job to ensure that you can share that perfect song with the self-appointed DJ, designated driver, or party speaker -- regardless of what streaming platform you use.

In Version 2.1.5, you can expect performance across the entire app to be leveled up, all while giving some much needed attention to areas such as our Messages application. In fact, during our testing, we have found that many searches run almost two times faster than before! We are really excited to deliver this update during what we would consider our "peak season", so you can count on optimizations being applied to the entire application through larger updates like this one.

This update contains the following new features, bug fixes, and improvements:

New Features:
- Manual Searches on TuneTransit now support album searches!
- TuneTransit's Messages application has gotten a complete upgrade! From a new UI to improved search algorithms across streaming platforms, this one was a long time coming. Let us know what you think! (Available for TuneTransit Premium users on iPhone and iPad)

Improvements:
- TuneTransit searches are as much as *TWO TIMES* faster since the last update!
- Launch speeds into TuneTransit have also improved! Get into your searches even faster.
- When searches are loading, TuneTransit will briefly pause background syncing for TuneTransit Station and Recently Played to improve search performance.
- TuneTransit's Aurora and Midnight themes have been modified with different color schemes to better represent the app design.
- TuneTransit will no longer display "- Single" for Apple Music album titles.
- TuneTransit's Sync UI now adapts to your chosen app theme with a slightly improved design.
- The 'Your Rotation' section of the Home tab on iPad will now show Sync UI and provide smoother animations with new items, similar to Recently Played on the Search tab.
- TuneTransit's backend services have been optimized for better performance.
- TuneTransit Smart Links have been optimized for a better user experience.

Bug Fixes:
- We fixed a bug where In-App Search would sometimes search Apple Music incorrectly, resulting in incorrect results.
- We fixed a bug where some TuneTransit album searches would complete too quickly, resulting in an incorrect result.
- We fixed a bug where some YouTube Music searches would not be retried, resulting in no result when there is one available.
- We fixed a bug where some TuneTransit searches could stall for an extended period of time, resulting in a prolonged search time.
- We fixed a bug where a track may appear more than once consecutively in Recently Played.
- We fixed a bug where the TuneTransit Messages application would sometimes not open correctly.
- We fixed a bug where the emoji text search for TuneTransit Station profiles would not function correctly.
- We fixed a bug where Tidal searches using our fallback search algorithm would sometimes select the wrong track.

Ahead of the next extended weekend in the US, TuneTransit is hard at work preparing for songs to be shared at your next party. Whether it's with a new friend or a long time family member, we know that you want to share the latest songs and get to what's important: the music.

We released Version 2.1.1 a few days ago... but we were able to complete our next update ahead of schedule! Version 2.1.2 continues the theme of providing bug fixes, but we have also included a few improvements that are sure to make your experience better than ever.

This update contains the following improvements and bug fixes:

Improvements:
- Repeated searches of the same track/album on Tidal have been optimized for faster results.
- Searches from YouTube Music to other music platforms have been optimized for faster results.
- Searches on Spotify have been optimized for faster results. (Since all searches involve Spotify, this should provide a slight performance boost for all users)

Bug Fixes:
- We fixed a bug where Radio Edit tracks would sometimes not match properly on Tidal.
- We fixed a bug where different versions of a track would sometimes not search properly on TuneTransit, causing inaccurate results.
- We fixed a bug where different versions of a track/album with the same name and artist would sometimes overwrite each other in the app history.
