Great little tool, my daughter brought a Ukulele home from school for a week, she loved using this to tune it, it was way out of tune!

The app worked great, the interface is really well designed and cool logo too.

Being a multi- instrumentalist Irish traditional musician, I’m always travelling, my instruments too. In Ireland we can have four seasons in one day and many bumpy roads to Dublin. I feel safer knowing this app is on my phone. :)

I accidently pressed no to allowing microphone and can;t use it anymore. Flippn poo

To fix the issue, please open the macOS settings app, go to “Privacy & Security,” then select “Microphone,” and allow access for the “Tuner” app. After that, restart the app, and everything should work fine. If this resolves the problem, please consider updating your review – thanks!

You have to pay to actually tune and get what you want most of the time not worth downloading unless you just need standard tuning then its fine

if you want to tune your instrument in anything other than standard you have to pay. your best getting the boss tuner

In its paid version the app offers more powerful features like custom tuning, chromatic tuning, capo support and of course all other predefined tunings. ✌️

Wanted to to custom tuning but the strings kept jumping to others and just basic user UI is terrible when trying to actually tune the guitar. I expect to press on the string and it holds until I tune it. Not in this app. It keeps jumping into other strings, trying to “predict” which string i am actually playing and its incorrect. Wanted to believe in this app but it disappointed. Canceling my subscription.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review! You can long press a string in order to "lock it". Then only the locked string is targeted when strumming a string.

This app isn't free and so if you need a free tuner than this app is not for you.

Was wandering if you can put banjo on here also

Tuny is an excellent everyday tool for my guitar. Loads on the computer's desktop in its own window and supplies a number of options that are helpful and expand your understanding of how tuning works and your guitar produces sound. Tuny adds value to your computer or device AND your guitar. 

full disclosure: Months of daily use of Tuny and experimenting with settings. Has replaced all other tuners in use.

After buying and using a number of guitar tuner devices and testing a dozen or more online app's I have found Tuny to be an excellent everyday tool for my guitar. The app has the advantage of not requirig a web browser as it loads on your computer's desktop in its own window. The options available to the user are enough to cover needs without being too many. WE pay a lot for our computers and rarely get full use out of them so an app like Tuny has the added bonus of upping the value of our purchase that too often goes short of its full potential. 5 stars for a well designed app with a cringeworthy name.

TUNY is an A++ app for anyone who needs to tune a guitar, bass, ukulele or orchestra (violin, viola, and cello). Guitar and bass allow you to choose the number of strings your instrument has as well. It includes the standard tuning presets and a TON of alternate tuning presets. Beautifully simple design. Also included are a chromatic style tuning and the ability to add custom tuning presets. I love this app and have removed all my old tuning apps since downloading this gem.
