What's New in Turbo Soccer

A bold new look and the most polished match yet.

Brand-New Design
Every menu has been redesigned from the ground up — striking condensed type, a sleek dark theme, and consistent, refined layouts across the whole app.

Continental Cup
A new 32-club tournament in the modern league-phase format: one giant table across 8 match days, with the top 8 advancing straight to the Round of 16 and the rest fighting through knockout playoffs. Five new club teams join the roster.

Cards & Discipline
Reckless tackles now have consequences. Hard challenges earn bookings, two yellows or a brutal foul means an early shower — and you'll have to battle on with ten men.

Save Your Goals
Capture goal replays and export them straight to Photos to share your best moments.

Realistic Match Clock
The clock now reads like a real game — counting through two 45-minute halves with stoppage time.

Refined & Improved
• Smoother, faster matches
• Knockout ties always settled by extra time or penalties
• Champion, elimination, and simulate-tournament screens fully polished
• Crowd and music stay crisp through replays and interruptions
• Plenty of stability and quality-of-life fixes throughout

Thanks for playing — see you on the pitch!

### 1.04 — 2026-04-01

New tutorial mode:
- Learn how to play with a guided tutorial

Improved gameplay:
- Adjusted high kick limits
- Adjusted ball traction physics
- Improved AI goalkeeper behavior
- Improved corner kick positioning

Bug fixes:
- Fixed goalkeeper not tackled outside the area bug

### 1.03 — 2026-03-22

New Features:

Team Import/Export — Export all teams (names, kits, rosters) to a JSON file via the iOS share sheet, and import them back from the Edit Teams screen
Quit Tournament from Menu — Tapping TOURNAMENT with an active tournament now shows Continue / New Tournament / Cancel options instead of always resuming

Gameplay Fixes:

Halftime/fulltime whistle respects play — The whistle no longer blows mid-attack or during a penalty. It waits for a natural break (ball out of play, GK holds ball, or dead ball), then plays a wind-down cooldown before transitioning
Kickoff power scales with charge — Was hardcoded at a weak 168 regardless of charge; now uses the full 300–600 power range like normal kicks
Kickoff kicker can't re-touch ball — The kicker is now blocked from picking up the ball until another player touches it (FIFA rule), using the existing setPieceKicker system
Throw-in power rebalanced — Base power raised from 140 to 224 so throws always reach a nearby teammate; full charge reaches 420 (still capped below foot kicks)
AI goal kick variety — Was always the same mid-power kick; now 60% long boot into the opponent half with lift, 40% short pass to a defender
Goal kick long boot power increased — Max power ceiling raised from 420 to 510 so long goal kicks properly clear into the opponent half
Players reset to standing at set pieces — Players who were sliding/tackling when play stopped now immediately stand up idle instead of continuing their slide animation
Penalty GK positioned on goal line — The defending GK is now explicitly placed centered on the goal line for penalties instead of staying wherever they happened to be

Crash Fixes:

Tournament fulltime crash fixed — showFulltimeResult() was called every frame queuing hundreds of duplicate scene transitions; added a guard so it only runs once
Tournament callback crash fixed — The onMatchComplete callback captured TournamentHubScene with [weak self] which was always nil by match end, causing the game to hang on "FULL TIME" forever. Rewrote as self-contained static methods that capture tournament state directly
Whistle sound shortened — Reduced from 0.45s to 0.23s (sharper, less annoying)
