Only wish would be to be able to colour code shelves/categories so that when they are in the main list you can see it’s already in a category. ### 4/5 — does what it says on the tin! *2022-07-01* have been searching for a reading app that allows me to log the actual time it takes me to read - not just in days. was wondering though, is there a way to log books i’ve already read that i’ve timed? so far i’ve just marked them as ‘finished’ but the time is 00:00 as i didn’t have the app when i read them. so happy this app exists! won’t worry about my clock app as much!! **Developer response:** Thank you for using Turn! You could possibly add one reading session with the + button next to ‘see all’ in the sessions section. And set the time to the total time spent reading the book. I tried some similar apps, but I liked the overall design of this one the best. At the time, There was one small hiccup that I had to work around, a problem with the way the screen was set up so that I couldn’t see all the buttons. I found a way to contact someone about the issue, and received a prompt response from the developer himself, and within only a few weeks an update was released, and the problem was solved. For this reason alone, I would download any app from Jack Radford just to try it out. He happens to be a pretty rad guy. ### 4/5 — Simple and easy to use! *2022-01-03* So user-friendly. Jack ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — A dead app? *2023-12-23* This app seems excellent for managing book collections and quotes. It lacks some important functionality, like being able to search quotes across books and tagging quotes. If it was a going concern it would therefore rate 3-4 stars. The biggest problem however is that it doesn’t seems to be a going concern any longer. The last update was a year ago and the develop is not responding to email. A great pity :-( ### 1/5 — Disappointing- beware *2023-11-27* I liked the premise of the app and thought that it was an affordable upgrade as well. However very disappointed that the app doesn’t work as well as promised. The scan barcode option is buggy at best and hasn’t recognized the first couple of books I tried to scan. Had to add everything manually. But it’s a tedious process. Am happy to revisit the app rating if the app development team is willing to look into improving this feature. Use it extensively before you purchase an upgrade - beware of trusting the features as promised. ### 1/5 — Won’t load books *2023-01-04* Got this app for the convenience of adding books in easily to a list. It won’t load anything I scan or any books I look up. Would probably be good if it worked ### 2/5 — Love the app, but lock screen widget maybe?? *2023-11-15* I love this app. Religiously, I’ll use it for every novel I read, alongside good quotes I would like to look back upon. My only question for the devs, is if it’s possible to develop a lock screen ios widget? I would love the quickest of access to this app since I carry my books on my at all times and read even when time is little. Please make this a option, I would pay for this feature immediately. ### 3/5 — SO GOOD !!!🩷🩷 *2024-04-02* I finally found a app that lets me track my books without having to pay to add books. It’s such an amazing app I use it everyday. I problem is that when I try to search for a book to add to my want to read list it doesn’t show up with anything so I have to do it manually which takes more time. I would love it if you could please fix that so I can find books to add to my want to read list. THANK YOU!! ### 3/5 — Only 99 days… *2023-08-05* I loved this app and used it to develop and engage in daily reading habits… however, once I hit 99 days of reading the counter stops counting and just shows 99+ days… this is disappointing. I paid for the pro version. It would be great if they did an upgrade that counted past 99! I am searching for a new app for now. Also, it would be great if there was a place to store a want to read list and not have to add it to the main list of books I’m currently reading. ### 3/5 — Good Start *2022-09-22, version 1.6.0* Although there’s much to like, there’s some features that make me unable to use this app as my primary book tracker. First, and most importantly, one cannot sync between multiple devices. In fact, this app is primarily designed for the iPhone. I use both an iPad and iPhone, so I’m looking for a tracker that syncs, functions and is designed for both devices. I’d also like the option to re-label the “other” tag in the library section of the app as “abandoned”. ### 4/5 — Simple et efficace *2024-02-08* Elle fait le travail, il n’y a pas énormément de fonctionnalités mais ça permet de rester à jour sur ses livres et d’avoir quelques statistiques. I’m on the pro version of the app. ### 4/5 — Great for stat lovers *2023-12-11* Handy for tracking just how long you read for instead of only tracking the books you are reading. Is there a way of syncing between devices? Adding the start page or percentage of a book you've already started to the app. A clear view of your goals and streaks. And one-off payment - no subscription. ### 5/5 — Very good 👍👍👍 *2024-06-06* I love this app, I’ve tried a lot of book trackers but this one is my favorite. It’s somewhat minimalist but it offers all the features that are important, and the thing I like best about it is that the non pro version is actually functional. The fact that they don’t do things like only let you ad a certain number of books, and still track your daily time without having to pay really won me over, and I eventually did buy pro because I wanted to support the developers. ### 5/5 — If you don't want to use the paid feautures.. After many attempts with other apps which failed due to there complicated layouts and monthly subscription I stumbled across Turn. -What sets Turn from all the other tracker apps is its sleek and simple layout, which makes it easy to sort my library into shelves by theme and series which most other tracker apps lack. -Also it allows me to easily see my progress for each book, log notes and look back on previous sessions. -unlike most tracker apps with a very limited free version that later requires a monthly subscription fee, Turn allows for a one time purchase for their pro version, this being cheaper then one months subscription for other apps at just £7.99 for a lifetime. -So if you are looking for a Sleek and straightforward reading tracker app with no monthly subscription fees and an incredible progression system I would highly recommend you downloading this app as its the perfect tracker app you’ve been searching for! ### 5/5 — Best Book Tracking App *2022-08-11, version 1.5.2* I have downloaded multiple book tracking apps but none of them have had me wanting to keep coming back to them and using them like Turn has. Being able to track how long I have read and see how many pages I’ve read keeps me wanting to read just to see how long I can go. I really like that you can chop it up into reading sessions. However, when I try to go back and look at the two books I’ve already finished using the app, I can’t seem to see all of my sessions. I’ve used the app for about three days and it says I only have one session for each book. Overall, a pretty great app which I hope isn’t limited to how many books you can record before you have to buy the premium version. ### 5/5 — Suggestions *2022-03-03* Been using the app for a few days and I absolutely love it!
