Second - I coukd not get the check out option to work but I sent messages to host time of drop off with photos. I then got a message I was late when in fact I dropped off the car 3 hours early. I was on the flight and they had my license information and they canceled my vehicle and gave it to someone else so I was left scrambling and not able to get another car right away. He was accommodating and informative in every way! There were no maintenance issues that we encountered for our 8 hour trip, it was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 5, the vehicle was spotless on the inside and it was one of the most fuel efficient cars I’ve driven! 10/10 vehicle hands down, we are looking forward to booking this vehicle in the future! ### 5/5 — The Best Turo Host Ever *2026-08-30, version 26.34.0* My duration of my rental with this Turo agent was beyond amazing easy a complete breeze the communication was exceptional when ever there was and issue nothing big at all might I add but what ever concerns I had he was there and was always helpful When I had trip changes or experiencing personal family matters he was beyond understanding & sympathetic and just an overall blessing if I can give him a billion stars for this rating I would. These people will try and scam you as best they can. I had to wait 4 hours for a tow truck and they couldn’t find me another vehicle that could hold our party of seven. Shame. Don’t use it. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service *2026-08-25, version 26.33.0* Turo is a good idea poorly executed. Any renter is on the hook for any damages that the owner claim claims. The car we rented had tires that slowly lost air during our rental period. We reflected this in their review. The owner upon seeing falsely claimed damage to the car in a retaliatory effort to extract money. Turo cited with the owner, despite no evidence of damage. Do not waste your time risking a rental with Turo. Customer service was useless in disputing the claim. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-08-25, version 26.33.0* ⭐️ Very disappointing first experience with Turo. I had a reservation for Sunday at 8:00 AM. I was running late and stayed in communication with the host the entire time, letting her know and responding when she repeatedly asked for my ETA. At NO point did she tell me that arriving late would result in my reservation being canceled or that I could lose a large portion of what I paid. We arrived around 10:30 AM, and only then was I told that Turo had canceled my reservation and that the host supposedly didn’t know why. However, when I contacted Turo directly, I was told the host had canceled the reservation because I was late. What made the situation even more frustrating was that out of approximately $330 that I paid, about $200 was kept as a cancellation/penalty fee. So I ended up with no vehicle and lost a significant amount of money, even though I had been communicating with the host about my delay. I contacted Turo customer service, explained the entire situation, and asked if they could at least provide some type of credit or courtesy adjustment, especially since this was my first experience using the platform. They refused. Had the host simply told me while we were messaging, “If you don’t arrive by a certain time, I will have to cancel and you may be charged a penalty,” I would have understood the consequences and made a different decision. Instead, she continued asking for my ETA without mentioning cancellation, and I found out only after arriving. This left a terrible first impression of Turo. Losing around $200, receiving no vehicle, and getting no meaningful assistance or courtesy from customer service was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to use Turo again. ### 1/5 — Horrible company, great host *2026-08-25, version 26.33.0* This company only cares about their money, not the hosts or customers. I had a car that had an unexpected mechanical failure and I could have cancelled my entire trip and gotten a new car but the host was great and offered a better vehicle for the same price and another day to make up for the lost time, heat and day of lost time. TURO DIDNT DO THAT! My credit and refund came to $1.. and they thought that was fair.. if this host isn’t available the next time I’m in a bind..
