## What is Tussock?

A toy for your fingers. There's nothing to win and nothing to finish. Open it, touch something, put it down when you like.

Draw slow circles through drifting motes, or send ripples across a still pond. Hold a finger still in a dark meadow until the fireflies come to it. Pull a string slowly and let it ring. Turn the knob of a microscope and look into a drop of pond water, or move the sun behind a leaf and watch its cells take the light. Knead a lump of play dough, send wind through long grass, turn tiles over to find a picture, or stroke fur the wrong way and watch it change colour.

Every sound is in the same key, so nothing clashes, and the phone hums softly under your finger. Going slower gives you more.

The ten modes are free. Eleven more, and every mode added later, are one purchase in the app.

No scores and no ads. Best with headphones.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 0.9.0 — 2026-10-21

Touch now follows what is under your finger: strands of fur, motes in the stirred water, blades of grass and ridges in the dough are felt as you pass over them. On iPhone, vibration is played by the phone's own haptic engine, so the light touches are felt there too.

### 0.8.0 — 2026-10-19

No release notes.
