As if! *2026-04-23* Sometimes there is a button that sneakily will let you bypass whatever add-ons they are trying to sell you, and you can go about your way, using the barebones version to at least change the volume/turn it on and off, etc. But I couldn’t find one. So in order to control my mom’s TV when I stop by, I’ve got to PAY 6.99 a month? Insane ### 1/5 — Made it super hard to cancel the subscription *2026-04-07* Didn’t work how I wanted it to so I went to cancel free trial nothing on there to cancel it made very awkward had to go into the App Store to stop it **Developer response:** We’re sorry this was frustrating. Downloaded this app to connect to it. Had to sign up for payment after 3 days. TV won’t display pin from app because it’s on the language select screen from the factory reset. And now of course they make it complicated to cancel subscription before being charge. Garbage app, avoid!!! **Developer response:** We’re sorry you're having trouble. Honestly you can buy a physical remote form Amazon for way cheaper than this. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-03-29* This is not a tv remote at all, just a chromecast/fire stick remote, which I found out AFTER I paid for a subscription (doesn’t do anything AT ALL without one) do not download, there are already official apps that do everything this does without ripping you off with another subscription. It connects sends a code and after everything is good to go not a single button works… ### 2/5 — Just get a replacement on amazon *2026-03-03, version 1.30.0* The app is great it works really well but you need to buy a membership it’s $7 monthly or $30 yearly. i think it’s better to just buy a replacement on amazon. i used this while my replacement came in. ### 1/5 — Avoid *2026-02-06* I downloaded this app to help with my tv whilst the remote was not working. It did work however it made me pay for a subscription with the first 3 days free. I did, but with other apps, they cancelled upon deleting them-straight away. This app did not and has proceeded to take money from my account. The part that is most irritating is that it does not tell you how to cancel this subscription. Also, I have emailed them twice and they have not answered me. I’ve had to go through my bank to try and sort this out instead which takes a long time. I would recommend not using this app at all. There are others that can help with the same thing, but will cancel any subscription gladly, unlike this app. Also, I haven’t even used this app from the first 2 days of downloading. I replaced the batteries and it did nothing so I figured I could use the app until my new one comes in. I’ve had to use the fire stick app before and it was free so I was shocked to see how expensive this is.
