Messages and calls go directly between devices and are end-to-end encrypted — only you and your contact can read them. No middleman servers, no ads, no tracking, no sign-up: just pick a name. - End-to-end encrypted chats and calls - Offline messaging over Bluetooth when there's no network - Audio and video calls, video messages, files - Notes with checklists, and a PIN-protected vault for passwords and PINs - Delete your own messages — within a minute they disappear for both sides - Encrypted backup so you can restore your chats on a new phone - No ads, no phone number or email collected Privacy by default. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.0.9 — 2026-08-26 Calls The headline fix: on mobile data a call often failed to connect at all — both sides saw the call and heard ringing, but no connection was established. Both people need the updated app for this fix to work. Video calls Fixed a black screen when the app was closed or the phone was locked. On iPhone, sound now comes back if a call is interrupted by a phone call, Siri or an alarm. Messages The input field grows up to four lines, and line breaks are preserved in the sent message. Voice messages, photos and videos now show delivery marks: waiting, sent, delivered, not delivered. Attachments previously had no indicator at all, so a lost file vanished silently. Attachments are ordered by the time they were sent rather than received, so a delayed voice message takes its place in the conversation instead of jumping to the end. The seconds counter is visible again while recording a voice message. The attachment button now offers "Photo or video" and "File" separately. ### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-22 Calls and delivery: Messages sent while offline arrive in the right order and are no longer lost if the app closes as they arrive. Your chat history no longer disappears on a weak connection — the app restores it by itself. Calls now get through and connect when a VPN is on. When the other person hangs up, the call ends on your side too. On iPhone you now hear the ringback tone, and the screen turns off when you hold the phone to your ear. Video calls: the picture comes back after minimizing. Contacts and convenience: Adding a contact is simpler: the panel was redesigned, and an address is added with one button. A new contact's name and photo appear right away, not after the first message. Unread reminders: a badge on the app icon and a reminder if you haven't opened the app in a while. Photos can be copied and pasted straight into a chat. A "Report a problem" form was added to settings. Also fixed: a security issue in group photo handling, rare cases of the microphone staying on after a failed call, and many interface details. ### 1.0.7. — 2026-08-09 Groups got a big upgrade: - Add members even when they're offline — they join when they open the app. - Group photos. - Creator role: only the creator can add members, set the photo, or delete the group. - Member list, and blocking a group member for 4 hours or forever. Also fixed: the first video message no longer records with a wrong aspect ratio, and the "Connecting…" bar no longer flashes on brief network hiccups. Stability improvements. ### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-08 Calls rebuilt from the ground up: - Voice and video calls on iOS now use a native audio engine — the earpiece/speaker button finally works like the system Phone app: voice calls start at your ear, video calls on speaker. - Sound no longer disappears when answering from the lock screen. - Calls now connect reliably on cellular networks, not just Wi-Fi. - Calls connect faster, survive network changes, and no longer get stuck when redialing. - Adding a contact via invite link is more reliable: the app wakes the other device and retries automatically.
