### 1/5 — Too easy, too random

*2019-11-06, version 1.0.4*

Took less than an hour, on my first game, to complete this and achieve a "12".

I thought the game would be similar to 2048, but there's a random element too this game that makes it much less satisfying than that classic. The random element is necessary otherwise the game is too easy, but it feels capricious.

Wish I could get my money back.

### 2/5 — Just not fun for me

*2019-12-22, version 1.0.4*

After a couple of rounds I asked myself “why am I playing this”? So I deleted it.

### 2/5 — Impossible?

*2019-04-29, version 1.0.1*

Really interesting premise and design, but as the blockers continually count down to reduce a random number on the board, real estate is a premium, and in short supply. After 1.5-2 hours of play, I still haven’t managed to figure out a strategy to win a single game. Seems like a loosing formula embedded in the code, or, if you do manage to win a round, pure luck!

### 3/5 — Not bad. Not great, either.

*2020-03-02, version 1.0.4*

The game is a fun little diversion but once you play long enough you realize that no amount of strategy can defeat the rng.

### 3/5 — Random?

*2019-10-07, version 1.0.4*

I really enjoy this game but there’s no way the tile selection is random. 90% come out as a 1 or a 2 and it’s pretty frustrating

### 4/5 — Good game, minor issues

*2020-05-29, version 1.0.4*

This is a pleasant number strategy game with nice effects and an effective tutorial. I like how the random number generator becomes less random and punishes me when I become greedy for a high number and I’m almost out of empty spaces on the board.

Next time, I hope that the developers map the double-taps and long presses into game actions, instead of letting the system copy/paste system open, sometimes highlighting and letting me copy the game background image.

### 4/5 — Addicting

*2019-09-06, version 1.0.4*

I've not been able to put it down. I haven't won yet either, even after an afternoon of nonstop playing. It's maddening but I can't stop because I'm determined to win AT LEAST ONCE!!!

### 4/5 — Good game

*2019-07-11, version 1.0.4*

It’s not pure luck and yes the game wants to have you lose and seems to bait you into little traps but you just have to be willing to backwards sometimes to go forwards otherwise you could lose I’m just glad the game doesn’t restart and I can continue a game I’m on I’ve been on the same game for almost a week and I’ve got a 15,14& a 12 trying to get 16 so I’m just happy I never have to start all over or keep it
Open

### 4/5 — One of those OCD Games

*2019-04-24, version 1.0.1*

Problem is, it takes three hours to play a game that ends at 9 points. Your goal is 12. Good luck. I’m deducting 1 point from the score for shortening my day for not enough reward.

### 5/5 — Addicting and cathartic

*2019-06-03, version 1.0.3*

Love this game! Never gets repetitive but also so satisfying. A great game to play over and over and at your own speed. You won’t regret downloading this app!

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 5 stars

*2019-04-24, version 1.0.1*

The tutorial is short, helpful, and straightforward. It made picking up the game very easy.

It’s aesthetically pleasing. The music is incredibly soothing - I’m considering leaving the game open all night in hopes that it cures my insomnia. And speaking of insomnia, I highly recommend playing it when you can’t sleep. It’s much better than counting sheep.

It’s the perfect challenge. It’s hard enough that it requires some strategy and you feel like you’ve accomplished something sizable when you win, but it’s also not too hard to the point of frustration.

10/10 would play again. Over and over and over again.

### 5/5 — Charming and Fun!

*2019-04-23, version 1.0.1*

There is something eternally satisfying about combining a long chain of numbers and hearing the sound effects raise in pitch with each successive swipe. The game seems simple on the surface but has a very cool depth to it when you get further along.
Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a relaxing yet challenging puzzle game!

(And whoever decided to add mountains in the background is a genius, what a beautiful aesthetic!)

### 5/5 — New favorite

*2019-04-22, version 1.0.1*

Challenging and infinitely replayable. If you loved 2048 and Threes, Twelvesmith is your new bestie.

### 5/5 — Awesome game!

*2019-04-18, version 1.0*

So simple and elegant—I can play for hours!

### 5/5 — Wow!
