### 5/5 — Anchor thoughts

*2026-03-25, version 2.2.13*

Wish I read it everyday, but I don’t. It provides timely thoughts and meditation that are relevant … that help to calm or reassure my mental framework…… which needs that restoration quite frequently.

### 5/5 — The word

### 5/5 — Marching Orders for a clean sober life

*2026-03-14, version 2.2.13*

I’ve been in AA for 26 years. Every morning, I pray and meditate for 10 minutes. I do not miss, for this is my time to connect with God. After this time, I read a passage out of Twenty-Four Hours a Day. I lean on the inspiration gleaned from these pages. These are my matching orders for the day to lead me in purity, honesty, unselfishness, and love.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-03-06, version 2.2.13*

Great site

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not affiliated with AA, extremely christian reflections

*2019-02-25, version 2.2.5*

I would encourage anyone to explore other apps. The reflections seem highly subjective. I am tolerant and accepting of others beliefs, but to scorn actual modern theory and scientific knowledge is troublesome. Especially when most of us are trying to live a more truthful life. And struggle with a concept of a power greater than ourselves. Below is an actual “reflection” from the daily reflections:

“Some people find it hard to believe in a Power greater than themselves. But not to believe in such a Power forces us to atheism. It has been said that atheism is blind faith in the strange proposition that this universe originated in a cipher and aimlessly rushes nowhere. That’s practically impossible to believe.”

How is this helpful?

### 2/5 — Lacking :/

*2025-06-03, version 2.2.12*

Spent 5.99+ tax. But pricy for what it is and I bet they’ll never update it. I need the ability to make the text larger because I am legally blind. Please make it so I can make text bigger. Also it would be nice if you added a sober timer. Do that and probably 5 stars.

### 3/5 — God

*2026-04-02, version 2.2.13*

This book does a lot of shaming towards people who don’t believe in God in my opinion

### 3/5 — Goog

*2025-03-24, version 2.2.12*

Good for topics

### 3/5 — Original text edited

*2021-04-27, version 2.2.9*

The original text has been altered, thus detracting from this historic meditation book used by 1000's of AAs for decades. You may be better off with a proper printed version. I still have mine which my sponsor gave me in 1981.

### 3/5 — 24 hours

*2020-12-13, version 2.2.9*

This non AA approved daily reader has some gems in it, but the language is old fashioned and difficult to identify with.

### 3/5 — Hazelden is consistently good

*2014-09-02, version 2.1.2*

Karen Casey is a very solid recovery author ! Hazelden have very good books ! You can not go wrong with this !

### 3/5 — Can I have a bookmark please???

*2012-08-29, version 2.0*

Great book i love the content but the app unfortunately can't bookmark any pages, so if you have to remember the days you like and then search or flip back thru all the days...please make it possible to bookmark!

### 3/5 — I'd still prefer One Day At A Time!

*2012-03-19, version 2.0*

This is adequate, but it's not great, the olde ODAAT was twice the app

### 3/5 — Very religious

*2011-07-05, version 2.0*

As a Christian AA person, I don't have a lot of trouble with the content of this app, but I feel it would be too overtly religious for some who reject traditional Christianity and are struggling to find a Higher Power they could trust in.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Upon Awakening

*2026-08-15, version 2.2.13*

This app is what I use to greet my day. As a wise woman in AA, who made this program 30 years sober of course she passed on would always say "when I wake up in the morning. "I dress my mind then I dress my body then I address my day."This is the app that I use taking the advice Anne gave so many.

### 5/5 — Love it try to strive for it to live it

*2026-07-14, version 2.2.13*

Enjoy having it on internet

### 5/5 — Great daily thoughts- same as the $8 one I think

*2026-06-25, version 2.2.13*

I used the hard copy for years then was thrilled to find this app & a few relevant others to recovering. We don’t have to have an addiction to use them and make each day a bit better. Try it; it’s free! God bless

### 5/5 — Paulie

*2026-06-04, version 2.2.13*

Saving my life one day at a time…

### 5/5 — Always just what I need!

*2026-05-09, version 2.2.13*

For many years this book has inspired me and continues to support my recovery.

### 5/5 — It makes my day

*2026-05-02, version 2.2.13*

I been using this book for almost 34 years

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-05-02, version 2.2.13*

Thank you Hazelden

### 5/5 — Changes

*2026-05-01, version 2.2.13*

Changes your foresight and helps adjust your daily tasks for the next 24 hours

### 5/5 — It all helps

*2026-04-29, version 2.2.13*

Hazelden has the best liturature! It’s been a daily part of my recovery for over 9 years now!

### 5/5 — Hope & Strength

*2026-04-27, version 2.2.13*

This devotions have carried me through decades of sobriety; in more recent years, I’ve learned they were taken from ‘God Calling’ a devotional book that I have been reading for decades as well. Only God could have coordinated that unbeknownst to me.
