Before being rebranded Twindo it was a great app. Now it crashes all the time, and the .obj files are no longer accessible when you manage to scan without a problem

I much prefer the previous version Canvas lite. The render was so clear and now none of my assistants can download it as it’s no longer available. Bummer. I’ll probably have to find another app that has more clarity visually with the 3d render.

Whilst it works well get ready for bill shock. I did a scan and it would have cost me $512 to export it to a format. I compared it with Polycam and I have picked Polycam.

I had a very frustrating experience with Canvas. The scan of my house was inaccurate, and when I reached out for help, they blamed me for scanning it wrong. Although they did offer to revise the plan, it was too late since I had already hired someone else—I needed the plans that day because my crew was ready to start the project. To make matters worse, they refused to give me any type of refund. I wouldn't recommend their service based on this poor customer support and lack of understanding of urgent project timelines.

Canvas does an amazing job of scanning a room.  You can view the scan in the app but it’s small on a phone.  Getting a file that can be used outside of the app seems to start about $30 for a room (20x16), and it’s per square foot.  So give it a try, getting the file is optional.

The app didn’t work with CA.  Don’t think you’ll easily get your money back for the program.  I eventually gave up after several emails and just called my bank and they took care of it for me.

Check the date on the reviews. Prior to 2026 it was called Canvas.io and was a great product. This is no longer the case. Do not recommend.

Paying customer last 9 months, sudden policy change and rebrand and lack of notification let me in a bad position, could not access my files without signing a PDF contract by email tied to a special $100/month membership fee. Tried to resolve through company. Only reasonable takeaway one can have is that they don’t care about their customers. It’s a shame because I found it useful and begun to reply on it (though bc of their flub-up I’ve since done my research and I see there are much better more affordable option.) The people who run this company just want money so badly they forgot to do a decent job running the company.

Get Scaniverse it does the same but for free then convert your obj to .skp for free online. Twindo quoted my scan $900 to be converted to a .skp file ( ridiculous )

Used this app as a subscriber for along time, but after an IOS updated, it stopped working. A coworker also experienced the exact same issue.. Try to contact customer service and they were not helpful at all and said it was my phone.. Been using a competing scanner since with no problem.

Will not allow you option to remove Apple billing information on the app and continues to charge. Does not show Apple billing on the website. Bills on cc as “canva” which is deceiving as that not the name in any case. I don’t know why I’m forced to leave any star.

I started using Canvas to scan spaces to save time in the beginning of a project then later realized it allowed me to measure spaces while pregnant.  It’s empowering and I can see Canvas gaining more popularity in the near future!

This app has quickly become an integral part of our small remodel business. Completely sold after using the app for a couple jobs. Huge time saver for bidding and designing a job.  The Chief Architect files from Canvas are ready to go, with accurate measurements and small details. The accuracy is impressive.

When I first downloaded this app I was surprised how good it was and didn’t realise iPhone Pros had such capable LiDAR scanners. I’ve been using this app for 2 years and it just keeps getting better. Absolutely incredible tool for visualisation of properties and figuring out dimensions and how things are placed in relation to others. Using this app I actually found a few false walls and voids in one property which we opened up and added a bathroom. Would have never known it existed without this app. I’m looking forward to using this app on all future projects. Highly recommend.

I’ve been sold on the product. Not because I have used it (I know.. it’s hard to review what you have not used) but hear me out. The dedication of the development team and even the CEO on a venture like this is amazing. I was genuinely surprised to see very detailed and personal responses to negative feedback, (even from the CEO). This alone showed me a level of care to execute a product that will go beyond! I look forward to learning more on how to use this application, I look forward to the team helping me use it for the success of my business 💪.

I am an interior designer I love using this program for remodels! My favorite part is that I don’t even need a tape measure to document existing floor plans. It saves me several hours since I don’t have to draw as built plans anymore!

I have been using the Canvas app for several years, starting with the lens device originally and later using the IPad with lidar.  Scans rooms and turns them into SketchUp models within about 2 days.  Very impressive tool for clients and makes designing in 3d so easy.
