It's apps were pricey. Pretty lame just to leave one in the dust and come out with a new one. I'm connected to Internet. I am in different time zones each time. The app is showing off by hours, which is obviously not right. I would like to be able to delete a snapshot It would be handy to have a "reset" button when you manually adjust the time on your watch ### 2/5 — Needs an update *2015-11-12, version 1.06* Ever since Daylight savings time ended, the accuracy measurement is off. I have an Radio Controlled watch that's dead accurate because it syncs every night with WWV. Twist says this watch gains 43.2 secs per day. Something is really wrong. Pls update app. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work at all *2015-04-29, version 1.05* This app doesn't work at all. It doesn't seem to be able to access the camera to take pictures. It used to work because I used it before but has regressed. Avoid ### 2/5 — Poor UI, inaccurate results *2015-03-27, version 1.05* It’s really a good idea gone bad in terms of execution. No export info option, no edit option, and even though support claims you don't have to wait 24 hours between snapshots, it really DOES make a difference. The app seems to average the accumulated +/- seconds by the accumulated number of days (obviously 24h) instead of total running hours between snapshots. REALLY needs improvement. ### 2/5 — Needs work *2015-03-23, version 1.05* The app was working almost OK, after a change of daylight saving, started giving strange results, even though I deleted all the history and started anew, bad results again :-( Besides this issue, I think entering time by digits is much faster than aligning beams ro hands. ### 1/5 — Not accurate at all *2015-02-09, version 1.05* Solely dependent on the user being able to line up all the points required accurately. You can suddenly be off several tenth of a second by simply lifting your finger off the screen ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Tedious, inaccurate *2023-05-19* I didn't think it was possible for them to make an app worse than Kello, but they did. This is very tedious to use and very inccurate. You have to take a photo of your watch and manually locate the cetner, 12 o'clock, hour, minute and second hands on the screen...repeat to get a reading. After all that, it said a mechanical watch of mine was runnning at +12 minutes per day---which is not even in the ballpark. A real timegrapher shows it is running ~+4 seconds. Don't bother with this one. **Developer response:** Hi CAG_1337, We have added a lot of features since version 1.02 to assist with the positioning of the hands and would love to hear what you think of the app today. You may also find it helpful to note that it is important to capture successive Snapshots at least 24 hours apart. Snapshots that are taken less than a day apart will multiply any errors due to parallax, beat rate, and/or hand position. The purpose of the Timeline lock, which can be enabled or disabled in Settings, is to guard against such errors. For the most accurate results, it is best to wait 24 hours before adding a new Snapshot to a Timeline. I admire it. ### 1/5 — Cannot Rename, Cannot Delete, No Cloud Sync *2020-06-07, version 1.67* Too expensive for not getting these basic features! ### 1/5 — Don’t bother. *2019-11-04, version 1.66* I like to keep track of my watch accuracy. I thought the idea of using a photo would prove to be easy and very accurate. It turns out you have to manually set the positions of the hands each time. What’s more if it’s in a mid way point it struggles to discern which minute you mean. I also had hoped that it would be automatic and recognise each hand. It doesn’t. There’s nothing automatic about it. Basically there’s far better apps out there like WatchTracker that do it for less. ### 1/5 — Used to be perfect, now it crashes constantly. *2017-09-24, version 1.60* This app used to be amazing, however now it crashes every time you try to take a picture. Very disappointed! Get Tooltime instead. Developer seem unwilling to fix it. Update September 23,2017: App now crashes every time you try to resize a picture. You take the pic, app blows it way out of proportion (to the point it's nearly unusable), you zoom out to try and navigate m, and the damned thing crashes STILL! Developer is cruel and uncaring, refuses to fix. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2017-01-21, version 1.53* Was an excellent app, destroyed by the developer by updating. If it ain't broke, don't' fix it... ### 1/5 — Unstable; poorly designed and overpriced *2017-01-19, version 1.53* Unstable to the point of unusability; clunky design and artificial restrictions on when snapshots can be taken; poor feature set (eg, no way to plot variations over time or review data); overpriced. ### 1/5 — Absolutely terrible *2016-10-17, version 1.07* So this app requires you to do absolutely everything: take the photo, use a marker to tell it where the second hands are, the minute hand, the hour hand - everything. And you need to be incredibly accurate and consistent on where you drop the markers or of course it's all inaccurate and wrong. I can't see the point of this. I'd hoped all I would have to do is take a photo and have my watches measured and tracked for accuracy. This is basically a camera app so save your money and just use one of the many websites that do the same thing. So yeah, I blew my cash on this so please save yours! ### 1/5 — Great idea if it worked *2016-09-05, version 1.07* Great Idea if it worked, I check 6 watches over a week I set the watches with the atomic clock app before starting and every day for a week against the same atomic clock app and noted the results and also used this app and I could not believe how poor the results on this app were one watch a Quartz lost less than a second over the week but this app showed it lost 14 sec a day, another mechanical watch gained 3 sec in the week but the app showed it lost 2.3 min a day and all others were as bad , I even checked a clock which had no second hand and it lost 2 min in the week but the app said it only lost 0.1 sec a day - a total waste of my money ### 1/5 — Very bad *2016-07-01, version 1.07* Doesn't work at all, timing is all over the place. Not accurate at all. ### 1/5 — Poor *2015-05-22, version 1.05* This app is useless if you add any more than 1 timeline over 24 hours.... I have three watches which were all exactly the same time but when checked on twixt they were all over the place when I put new timelines on them every 24hrs I was getting +\- 6 seconds but they were all still Bob on to 1 second. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works great *2025-12-15, version 2023.3.2* Better than any of the others. Unique way of capturing time makes this app a cut above. ### 5/5 — This app saved me a huge headache! *2023-11-03, version 2023.3.2* I have been using Twixt for nearly a decade and recently took my watch in for a service (which thanks to Twixt was showing a slow degradation in performance over a couple of years). When I got the repaired watch back from the watchmaker something looked amiss but I couldn't tell what it was. Thanks to Twixt I was able to see photos of the watch before the service and immediately it was clear that the watchmaker had replaced the hands with slightly different ones. I never would have been able to know this without a long history of photos of the watch. It was also very easy to show the watchmaker the error since there wasn't much to argue with about the clear evidence of the incorrect hands. I was able to share screen shots with the watchmaker to show the change - an idea to improve the app would be an ability to export/import timelines. Otherwise the app has been matured to perfection as the developer has made continuous improvements to it over the years. Running an iPhone 8 Plus now on iOS 11.4.1 and no issues with snapping a photo and locating dial points. Well done. ### 5/5 — Surprisingly effective *2016-07-14, version 1.07* After a full service center overhaul of my Omega Seamaster I decided to use Twixt to check the accuracy. Even though my watch had just been serviced Twixt measured that it was gaining just over 6 seconds per day (the threshold for chronometers). I took this info to the service center and they were able to get the gain down to about 1.3 seconds per day. Without Twixt I wouldn't have known my watch was out of spec and would have just accepted poorer accuracy than necessary. The app itself is clean and easy to use. I didn't expect it from just photographs of the watch face but the accuracy is impressive: it matched the Omega service center's measurement exactly. ### 5/5 — Sugestion *2016-06-10* The possility to delete a separate time line of one messure of a Watch after Have registered.
