## What is Two Cents?

One budget. Two people. One number you both watch.

Two Cents is the simplest way for a couple to track what they spend together. Agree what you can spend this month, add things in two taps, and watch one number come down — on both phones, at the same time.

NO BANK LOGINS
We never connect to your accounts. You add what you spend, which takes about three seconds, and that is the whole system. Nothing to reconcile, nothing to categorise later, no dashboard to interpret.

BOTH OF YOU, ONE NUMBER
Whatever one of you adds, the other sees. No screenshots, no "did you get that", no two apps disagreeing at the end of the month.

TWO TAPS TO LOG SOMETHING
Amount, category, done. Add a note if the number will need explaining later. It is quick enough that you actually keep doing it, which is the only thing that makes any budget work.

THE MONTH GETS AN ENDING
When the month closes it gets wrapped up: what you spent, where it went, whether you held the line, how it compares to your usual. Drag across the chart to replay any day of it.

THE YEAR, MONTH BY MONTH
Twelve months against the budget each was judged against. Which ones you held, which you didn't, what is already spoken for before the month starts, and who paid for what.

ONE SUBSCRIPTION, BOTH PHONES
Most budgeting apps charge each of you. One subscription here covers you both, because the month is shared and so is the bill.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your spending stays between the two of you. We don't sell anything to anyone, and there are no ads.

Free for seven days. After that it's a subscription — cancel any time from the App Store.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-09

Reminders now work even if you turned notifications on later, and the app asks for them properly — it only ever sends what your partner added and the reminder you chose.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-06

Notifications now arrive when your partner adds an expense. A token that changed whenever the app was reinstalled was being written over on every launch, so the other phone was sending to an address that no longer existed.

And if the app never got to ask for permission to send them — joining with a code skipped that step — it asks now.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-05

No release notes.
