Very disappointing ### 1/5 — Bait-and-Switch: Lifetime Access Revoked *2025-05-18* Like others mentioned, the dev gave free lifetime access and just revoked it with today’s update. I downloaded it when there were no ads or paywall—now it’s filled with ads and an upgrade screen. It was a fun app and would’ve been great otherwise, but pulling a bait-and-switch like this kills trust. Judging by recent reviews, I’m not the only one frustrated. Not cool. **Developer response:** Hi, Apologies for the inconvenience earlier. We have found the issue and have fixed it. They then push an update that introduces a paywall in order to inflate their ratings with five-star reviews. This behavior is deceptive and appears to be aimed solely at increasing downloads and user numbers. I originally got this during a promotion, and am supposed to have an ad-free version. As a thank you for updating, I was promptly bombarded with a pop up video ad for an app with consumable in-app purchases - despite being a lifetime owner of this app, I was greeted with a pop up ad instead of a restore button. Finally after sitting through their video ad, I was able to restore. (I think). I played a few rounds of a game, and a (quicker) AD for some other game of theirs popped up!!! There is also an ad button in between the different game options, that if you click accidentally it takes you to the App Store. In the supposed lifetime ad-free version. To make matters worse, the app froze within the memory matchup game and then later the hand slap game. This is all within 5 minutes of updating the app and restoring my lifetime offer. I had to swipe out of the app completely and then reopen it to get the app to work, it completely froze.
