### 4/5 — Wonderful

*2019-02-10, version 1.2.29*

I had purchased the bundle for usb pc but it didn’t work like expected. I then found this app which is what I needed. This app is great! Waiting to hear from the developers if I can get a refund for my previous choice and buy this instead. Great work!

### 4/5 — Nice app, with a few kinks

*2019-02-02, version 1.2.29*

This app works as described by extended your computer display on a second monitor. I used this to add an additional monitor while traveling using my laptop and iPad Pro 12.9 display. The dimensions of the screen as others have mentioned you may have to adjust, but it works well with added benefit of touch screen from the iPad. Only glitch or kink is when connected I can not print documents. Not a major issue but enough of a hassle that I’ve decided to test out a portable monitor for at home and use this app primarily while traveling.

### 3/5 — it just werks

*2017-05-17, version 1.2.23*

enables an ipad 1st gen to become a monitor for windows 10. high cpu usage though.

### 2/5 — App Keeps Crashing

*2017-02-07, version 1.2.21*

I purchased this app in hope of using my old iPad 1 as an extenxted desktop. I downloaded the app and the first time I used it, it worked as promoted. However, there were a number of bugs. First, I could not adjust the screen size on the extended desktop so everythhing was over sized - such as Safari running gmail.

When adjusting the screen size, the app started to crash every time it was activated. I found the support information to be very limited on the app's developer site. in an effort to resolve the problem, I uninstalled and re-installed the app on both my mac and ipad with no luck.

I was going to try and reach out directly to the developer, yet there no is readily visible way to communicate with him/her on how to possible resolve the issue.

### 5/5 — Works perfect Win10 iPad Mini 4

*2016-08-24, version 1.2.21*

I purchased "Duet display" at first, only to find out it was completely incompatible with nVidia graphics cards and SLI in general, for $20. It also slowed down my computer and ruined a bunch of things, so luckily I managed to get a refund from Apple.

I could not be happier with this alternative, Image quality is better and it has more features, worked straight away without me having to do anything or without breaking my computer like the competitor did. I rate this app a solid 10/10 and wish I could show it to everyone thinking about throwing their money away on Duet Display.

### 5/5 — Ipad 1st Gen still supported

*2016-07-25, version 1.2.21*

So, my IPad one now has a new life. Works awesome with no issues on both my windows 10 and 7 PC' and my iMac and MacBook. The best app I own!

### 1/5 — TwomonUSB in English

*2015-11-10, version 1.2.9*

This could be a great app if it worked. I loaded it on my iPad and Windows notebook. It finally connected after much tweeking, but it only mirrors the notebook screen on the iPad, it won't extend it. I tried for several hours to get it to extend the screen without success. I've emailed the developer on several occasions, but no response. Probably because no one in the organization speaks or reads english. The limited documentation is written in such poor english grammar that it is undeciferable. Another wasted 10 bucks.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work on Yosemite

*2015-06-04, version 1.2.3*

You have to download the PC app from their only-in-Korean website. The download takes an hour or longer and then I find the dmg isn't recognized by Yosemite. No way to contact the dev, iTunes won't let me report a problem and of course their website is in Korean. Basically I've been robbed of $10. Guess I'll know better next time. This app is a worthless piece of crap.

### 3/5 — Works as advertised

*2015-04-08, version 1.0.34*

I bought this to stream Windows games over a stable wired connection to my phone. I was disappointed however when the video didn't support my graphics card at all. Games would open but seemed to only use the CPU and got unbearable performance.

### 5/5 — It actually works!

*2015-03-19, version 1.0.28*

Finally.

I have been looking for something that would allow me to have a second monitor when I travel. Unlike the wireless (Wi-Fi) apps, this one will work in a hotel. I've never been able to get one to work over hotel Wi-Fi.

I used this with my Windows 8 laptop and my fourth generation iPad with no issues thus far. There is a little bit of lag, but I'm not playing games on it. I'm using it for work.

Disregard any videos or screenshots with Korean text that you might find when researching this app. When you choose English as your language, that is what you will see while using the PC program and iOS app.

This is worth the money.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2021-03-01, version 1.2.29*

Plz refund!

### 1/5 — Stopped working, terrible service prices

*2019-05-01, version 1.2.29*

Great while it worked. Can’t connect, and they make you jump through confusing hoops just to contact them for help.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2019-03-10, version 1.2.29*

Everything is installed including iTunes. Will not connect to tablet and keeps prompting to install iTunes.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work

*2018-11-14, version 1.2.29*

Does not work with Windows 7.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work for iPad 1

*2018-07-19, version 1.2.23*

If you want to use an iPad 1 as a second monitor (extended) then you need to find a different option, I lost my money with this.

### 1/5 — Newest Update Damaged my MAC

*2018-04-04, version 1.2.23*

Your newest update crashed my new iMac and now it does not boot up, forcing me to format the whole disk and lose months of valuable information on my computer.

### 1/5 — Very Poor App *on mac

*2017-12-28, version 1.2.23*

Doesn’t actually act as another app (on mac). It only acts as an extended display. I wanted it to be another display like Duet. I would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Annoying, Unnecessary, Requirement

*2017-07-17, version 1.2.23*

I used to use this app and was going to install on a computer at work where I needed a temporary 2nd monitor. The requirement to have iTunes installed is both annoying and unnecessary. There are many other dual monitor apps out there without this limitation that are much better.

### 1/5 — Does not work at all

*2017-06-21, version 1.2.23*

And the support is horrible, basically no support. When I contacted support for help or refund, they force you to provide LOG file but there are no clear instructions on where the log files are created to upload,, basically you cannot contact support without them, hence the most horrible support. Don't waste your money and find something with better reviews.

### 1/5 — I had high hopes

*2016-10-30, version 1.2.21*

This app crashed my PC more than once. Then it crashed my chrome extensions. I was so hoping it would turn my iPad mini into a small little monitor I could use to follow my social media feeds as I worked.

Seemed like it would based on the reviews but honestly it was junk. Could not get it to ack as a second monitor, it would only function in the mirroring mode which defeats the whole reason for the app.

Gonna try to get my $10 back but not hopeful. I'll report back if I get money back.

### 5/5 — 2022 works perfectly with iPad 1 and Gaming laptop running Windows 10 Pro

*2022-05-31, version 1.2.29*

Logging into the Apple iCloud and Store from the iPad 1 was painful. As another poster said, purchase the app from another Apple device, then do cloud download to iPad 1.

Installed iTunes from Microsoft store on my gaming laptop. Login to iTunes. Downloaded from the website specified by the app. Disconnect and reconnect USB A from laptop if iPad 1 not detected by iTunes.

Adjust monitors (iPad was primary after software installation , had to set laptop screen back to primary).

Works perfectly displaying discord while I’m gaming on laptop monitor.

### 5/5 — Working with iPad 1 in 2021

*2021-10-02, version 1.2.29*

Ok, to purchase for iPad 1, purchase from newer iOS device and then access from purchased on iPad 1 App Store. To lower latency, just use 800x600 resolution. Looks more appropriate anyways. Not bad, very little lag. Going to find out if I can use yousician with the lag, perhaps I can just delay the audio to match. Anyways I have my Casio Privia digital piano hooked up to the Mac mini with iPad 1 as my “ultra thin monitor” and am enjoying all my vst instruments through headphones. And access to my DAWS. Mac is zip tied to piano stand, pretty tucked away. Thanks TwoMon.

### 5/5 — I had a new iPad and now an old one, both work

*2020-04-17, version 1.2.29*

This is a great app for versatility as well as because it WORKS. I have favorite wifi apps... but only this one works all the time.. you DO need hdmi to set it up... i mean you have to see you of screen ... after that, I am able to use it as my main monitor or as an extension. Love it

### 5/5 — Nice app!

*2018-07-28, version 1.2.23*

Have been using TwoMon for a while, with Windows 7 and a 2012 iPad, and currently with an iPap Air 2 and Windows 10. Very happy with it. Works great. Sometimes it can be laggy, but that has been usually a conflict with some other app on the PC side of things. Most annoying thing is having to install iTunes on the PC to connect the iPad (I don’t use iTunes), but there are drivers you can install so the iPad is recognized by Windows without having to install the entire iTunes app (and yes, this is an Apple thing, not MS). Thumbs up TwoMon!

### 5/5 — USB works great

*2018-03-10, version 1.2.23*

I just bought USB and am very pleased. I was using Duet, but they couldn’t get it to work with Win10. Twomon has more features though. I would like to use Twomon Air. I am having a connection problem. I’ll figure it out.

### 5/5 — Spectacular

*2017-07-26, version 1.2.23*

Look no farther for a windows extended monitor solution. This is a *great* app and works well on wifi or USB. I own them both. My Ipad Pro 12.9 works perfectly. Great resolution options (I like 1280x1024 on my 12.9 pro), great options for using ipad to make a nearly native touch solution for windows! Tremendous value and you can use an older Ipad 1 or 2 too.

### 5/5 — Works!

*2016-12-27, version 1.2.21*

My iPad 1st gen is finally useful. My only complaints are the drivers aren't signed, so I have to hold F8 and boot without driver signature enforcement. Also there are various graphical features (such as dropdown menus in iTunes) that are not shown on the extra display. It's hard to explain. This is certainly not a deal breaker for me though!

### 5/5 — Wow! 3 is my lucky number today.

*2016-10-28, version 1.2.21*

Perfectly wonderful on my iMac. I had one external monitor already so now with my old ipad1 (that was just collecting dust), I have 3. I love the 3 TwomonUSB viewing options but use the #3 extension. I can now have 3 different screens going on. I read the support info on their website and found the additional information helpful in setting things up with the 3 finger TAP which I was dragging instead of tapping. Some really smart brains are here to make such a useful app. It's well worth the money and I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — IPAD 1 IS USEFUL NOW

*2016-10-01, version 1.2.21*

Get so frustrated every time I see a cool app on my phone and go to pull it up on my iPad 1 and it's not compatible.. it's a miracle they made this iOS 5 compatible! Best 10$ spend in long time. Even better is that the iPad 1 doesn't do stylist well, but the stylist works perfect while using as a mouse click. Big shoutout to developers for this

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2016-09-08, version 1.2.21*

After trying Duet and Yam, both of which screwed up my use of the embedded Nvidea card in my Laptop, I found TwoMon. Install was painless and it works perfectly with my laptop's graphic card even providing me a 3rd display when the Laptop Display and a VGA display are already in use.
