## What is Twoven?

Twoven is the new name for the Jigs iPhone app.

Jigs are the things you type again and again — a reply, a sign-off, directions to the office, a note to the team — written once, with blanks for the parts that change. Make them on your iPhone, fill in the blanks, copy, and use them in any app.

JIGS ON YOUR IPHONE — no Mac needed

• Make, edit and delete jigs right on your iPhone. Give each one an icon and a description.
• Every blank becomes a question: text, email, a number, a date or time, yes or no, a choice from a list, a rating, an order, or a photo from your library or camera — each with a hint and a check on the answer, and asked only when another answer calls for it.
• Tap a jig, answer, copy. A jig works straight away: in the app, with Siri, and in Shortcuts.
• A formatting bar above the keyboard — bold, italic, headings, lists, quotes, links and code — and a preview of exactly what you'll get.
• AirDrop a jig to another iPhone or a Mac, and receive one from either.

EVENT ALARMS

Real alarms from your calendar — ones that ring through Silent and Focus, so a meeting never slips past because your phone was on mute. Pick the calendars you care about once; every event on them gets an alarm, and new events pick one up as they arrive.

• Heads-Up Alarms℠ — ring 5, 15, 30 minutes or hours before an event starts. Add as many as you like, per event or as your default.
• Wrap-Up Alarms℠ — a nudge before an event ends, so you leave the meeting on time. They vibrate by default, so they don't interrupt the room.
• All-day events — an alarm on the morning of the day, at a time you choose.
• Late additions are covered — an event added too close to its start still gets an alarm when it begins.
• Snooze from the Lock Screen, and set how long a snooze lasts.
• Turn any single event's alarms off without touching the rest.
• Pause all alarms for an hour, or for the evening — or just ask Siri.
• Time Left — a live countdown on the Lock Screen while an event is on.
• Choose your alarm tone from a library of tunes and instruments.
• Print Agenda — print a day's events and reminders, or save it as a PDF, with each event's alarms listed under it.

WITH JIGS FOR MAC

Pair your iPhone with Jigs for Mac and it can do more:

• Your jigs sync both ways when the two meet — make or change one on either, and it's on both.
• Search your Mac — find mail, notes, files, contacts and more on your Mac, from your iPhone, and open them there or here.
• Favorite and recent searches, one tap away.

Your iPhone talks to your Mac directly over your own network, encrypted. It never goes through the internet, and pairing takes a QR code and a few seconds.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account. No sign-in. Twoven reads your Calendar on your iPhone to schedule alarms, and your Reminders only when you print an agenda; neither ever leaves your iPhone. The one thing Twoven sends anywhere is an anonymous wake-up address, so new events can get alarms while the app is closed — and you can switch that off in Alarm Settings.

## Key features

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.1.0 — 2026-10-19

Jigs is now Twoven. Same app, same jigs, same alarms, new name — and a new woven icon.

Your jigs, alarms, settings and pairing with Jigs for Mac are all exactly where they were.

If you open contacts from your Mac's search, the shortcut that does it is now called Twoven Contact: add it once more when the app offers it.

### 4.0.0 — 2026-10-18

New in 4.0: fill in a blank from where the answer already is.

Every field can now be picked as well as typed. On a field's page, choose Pick from; when you use the jig, a button beside the box does the rest, and typing still works.

• Contacts — a name, first or last name, company, email, phone number or postal address, from Apple's own picker. Email and phone fields have it built in.
• Calendar event — the title, start, end, location, attendees or calendar of one of the next two weeks' events. A date or time field takes the start straight into its control.
• Reminder — the title or due date of an open reminder, by list.
• Scan text — point the camera at a sign or a page and tap the words you want.
• Scan a code — a QR code fills a web address; a barcode fills a number.
• From your Mac — Search your Mac inside the jig, narrowed to one kind of item, and the pick fills the box. Needs your paired Mac in range.
• File — a file's name from Files, or the text of a text file.
• Colour — a new kind of question: a swatch that opens the iPhone's colour picker, written as #rrggbb. On your Mac the same field is a colour swatch too.
• Text from a photo — choose a picture and the words in it fill the box.

Recognition for scanning and photos happens on your iPhone; nothing leaves it.

• Action jigs: a jig made on your Mac can run something there — such as starting a new Claude Code session — from your iPhone, and open the result here. The phone sends only the jig and your answers to your own Mac.
• Background checks: new events get alarms while Jigs is closed, every half hour. Off in Alarm Settings.

Everything you make or change on your iPhone syncs with your Mac when the two next meet.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-10-14

New in 3.0: more say in every jig, right on your iPhone.

• Choose an icon for each jig from a set built into the app. It shows in your list, and on your Mac after a sync.
• A description for each jig, shown above the questions when you use it.
• A fuller field page: Label, Placeholder, Required, and per-type settings — answer checks with their own message, Yes / No words, an allowed range, and how a date is written.
• Only when: ask a field only when another answer calls for it, or make it required only then — the same conditions as Jigs for Mac.
• Fields not in the text, and Reorder: add a question that only decides what else is asked, and drag the questions into the order they're asked in.
• A roomier editor: the bar above the keyboard holds every format, and ··· lists everything you can insert, with its current value. Press and hold a pill to copy, cut or delete it — a whole If or Repeat block in one go.
• Preview is the eye in the editor's bar: the jig exactly as it's used, from what you've typed so far.
• Jigs that mention the app you're pasting into now work on your iPhone too; that part is left blank here.
• Numbers take decimals and negatives.
• A quieter Jigs list, and "Open in Calendar" on an event alarm shows which calendar it's on.

Everything you make or change on your iPhone syncs with your Mac when the two next meet.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-10-10

New in 2.0: make jigs on your iPhone.

  • Create, edit and delete jigs right on your iPhone — no Mac needed. A new jig works straight away: in the app, with Siri and in Shortcuts.
  • Tap a jig to use it: fill in the blanks, see the result, copy it. Edit and Share are at the top.
  • A formatting bar above the keyboard: bold, italic, headings, lists, quotes, links and code. A jig reads the same on your iPhone and your Mac.
  • Tap any blank in a jig to choose how it's asked — text, email, a number, a date or time, yes or no, a choice from a list, a rating, an order, or a photo from your library or camera — and what it starts as.
  • See the result as you type: a live preview with sample answers sits under the editor.
  • AirDrop a jig to your Mac or another iPhone, and receive one from either. Jigs shows you what's in it before adding it.

  With Jigs for Mac:

  • Jigs sync both ways the next time your iPhone and Mac meet, over your own network or a cable — never the internet. Pull down on your jigs to sync now. If a jig was changed on both, you keep both versions.
  • AirDrop between your own iPhone and Mac never makes a second copy of a jig you already have.
  • Forgetting your Mac keeps every jig on both devices.
  • Syncing jigs made on your iPhone needs the latest Jigs for Mac. With an older Mac, they're kept safely on your iPhone until it's updated.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-06

New in 1.1:

• Print Agenda — print any day's events and reminders, or save it as a PDF. Each event lists the alarms Jigs has set for it.
• Choose which calendars appear on your printed agenda.
• Snoozed alarms now ring with the tone you chose for the event.
• The Time Left countdown stays in step with your alarms.
• Better with VoiceOver, Voice Control, larger text sizes and higher contrast.

With Jigs for Mac:

• Search your Mac now keeps your favorite and recent searches, one tap away.
• Your calendar choices follow the calendars ticked in Calendar on your Mac.
