### 4/5 — Audio Option?

*2025-03-18*

I love the app and being able to have my magazine digitally as well. However I’d love to see audio added so that I can have Siri read it to me while I’m driving.

### 2/5 — This App

*2023-10-02*

It shows nothing I want to know good camping off the grid. Hunting seasons! Good rivers, it’s all south Texas might as well be in Mexico. How about east Texas or north Texas? Who cares about some flower!

### 3/5 — Needs more content and bug fixes; good customer support

*2017-11-20*

I had an issue where I couldn’t log in to access all the content using my subscription login and following the in-app instructions. I used the option to report an issue and quickly got an email from the TPWD developer who helped me resolve the issue (turns out the in-app instructions were out-of-date).

For those who can’t find the login option, from the first page of the app go to Issues, select the most recent issue, and then you’ll see a login button.

I do think I liked the older app better due to easier navigation and more content. Also, it seemed a little less buggy. However, the developer did take my report about an additional bug I found and also said they were committed to expanding the content so I’m expecting the app to get better in the near future.

### 5/5 — Well worth it

*2015-04-18*

I love Texas Parks and Wildlife. I wish they'd add a section for a link to their PBS show, but otherwise the app is just like the magazine, just better with more digital content. Easily accessed and navigated.

### 4/5 — Doesn't Rotate Horizonally

*2015-03-18*

So far I've enjoyed the app. Pictures are very nice and as always the articles are superb. My only complaint is the magazine only opens in a vertical style. Would really line to see it open horizontal. This makes it difficult to read from an iPad with a keyboard. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2015-03-06, version 1.0*

This is Texas Parks and Wildlife at it best. The interactive features of video and changing pictures is remarkable! Get Texas Highways on board with this!

### 1/5 — Unreadable

*2015-03-05, version 1.0*

The text is too small to read on my iPhone 6. There is no way to increase the text size. I will cancel my subscription.

### 5/5 — Tx parks magazine app

### 5/5 — Very nice magazine and ap!

Great graphics and wonderful, full color articles. A must for any Texan or 'wanna be' Texan!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Never have gotten emagazine

*2023-06-15*

Although I requested TPL e magazine, I have never gotten it so it is worthless to me!

### 1/5 — Not Happy

*2017-11-23*

I have to wonder if TP&W has any idea of how many long time subscribers they lose when the put out a digital edition that is this poorly designed.

I’m an older reader, and have been moving away from the hard copy versions of the periodicals I read. There have been a number I’ve stopped reading because of the app design was so poor, and I’ve not gone back to the paper version. The reason? Simply put, those apps did not have an intuitive interface. There are better things to do with my time than figure out where the developers put all the Easter Eggs required to utilize the app! To be clear, I subscribe to a number of periodical e-editions that work just fine. I’m not a newbie at using this medium.

The first hint of a problem was trying to log into the app. I subscribed on the TP&W website. I had to find the answer to where the subscriber login was by reading the reviews for this app! Are you folks dense, or what? Provide instruction in the app, or on your website! Don’t make people look for it!

Unlike a lot of folks, I pay for my content. I realize the value it provides costs money to produce. When I get an app that is this difficult to navigate, I wonder why I bother. TP&W, get this fixed please. I bought an annual subscription. If the problems aren’t resolved in the next few issues, I will delete the app and will turn off any auto-renew and will not subscribe again. As a Texas resident and taxpayer, if tax money was used to produce this app, you have wasted it!

Amendment: After reading through all of the reviews, it is clear that TP&W is non-responsive to the feedback. I should have read the reviews before obtaining the subscription. You won’t get my money again, TP&W!

### 1/5 — I already have subscription...

*2016-03-03, version 2.0*

...but don't have option to enter account info? Maybe it only works if you purchase subscription through App Store? I'm gonna delete this app now.

### 1/5 — New app does not work

*2016-03-02*

Since the update to the magazine app I have been unable to view any of my purchased issues and it doesn't not indicate I am subscribed. I had no problem with the old app but this new version does not have a prompt to sign in or a settings option as you indicate in the instructions.

### 1/5 — Don't buy digital

*2016-02-24, version 2.0*

Digital subscription thru app lets you buy it but doesn't work! Customer Service will only tell you they know and they are working on a fix. Not sure what happens thru iTunes.

### 1/5 — Last update

*2016-02-13*

After last update have not been able to uses program. Have to have a password but have not record I have approval for magazine. It was a great magazine to see Texas but now -----. Not sure who to call to fix. Do not get until fixed.

### 1/5 — No good

*2016-02-05*

Purchased this on the App Store. Will not restore purchases. It won't open any magazine but the free ones and keeps wanting me to repurchase each one. Emailed TPW but got no response. Don't bother with this one. Now it won't take my review as I can't find a nickname that actually is not supposedly already taken.

### 1/5 — Can not open magazine issues

*2016-01-20*

I bought and read some individual issues with no problem. I signed up for a one year subscription, but can't open the current issue. The magazine customer service can't seem to help.

### 1/5 — Doesn't Open

*2016-01-02, version 1.0*

Downloaded app, won't load issues

### 1/5 — Startup

*2015-10-25, version 1.0*

....has not been good! Will report again when I'm finally able to see a magazine.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2021-04-02*

I like it is really good it tells you where to fish and what type of baits to use. For different fish I love it!

### 5/5 — Love TPWD

*2019-12-05*

TPWD is a government agency that truly works for the betterment of our state. In the age of government overspending, TPWD does so much with less. From Game Wardens guarding our coasts , assisting with drug interdiction, to biologists solving diseases affecting bats in our state, TPWD leads the way. I appreciate all that they do in creating a healthy habitat for wildlife, the partnerships that they facilitate on land and water.
Their Television show on the public channel rocks too.
Thank you Texas Parks And Wildlife,

### 5/5 — Easy access & bonus material

*2016-07-29*

The app is a wonderful addition to the magazine plus it has extra and free features even if you aren't subscribed to the magazine. It features excellent photography and useful and fun outdoor stories. It makes my trips to the Texas outdoors more meaningful. Thank you, TPW!

### 5/5 — Great Magazine & Great App

*2016-03-22*

I love both the magazine and the app. The app may be the better way to read the magazine, even. TPW really does a great job making the digital magazine a pleasure to use with graphics and videos. **After the app upgrade, I had to remove the app and reinstall it to be able to use my account login.

### 5/5 — Cool app redo

*2016-03-15*

I like the redesign. There was a bug at first if you subscribed via their website but it is working now. And I can get issues that were produced before I subscribed. Nicely done TPWD.

### 5/5 — Digital Version

*2016-02-25*

Worked at first. Stinks right now. Fix it please!

### 5/5 — Great Info

*2015-08-25*

Very informative and entertaining read. Would be nice if the text would rotate with phone for easier viewing of articles. All in all a good app!
