You were right: the old version showed far too many ads. Version 2.0 is a complete rebuild. Ads no longer interrupt you while typing, and Pro removes them entirely. I'd be glad if you gave it another try! ### 1/5 — Не работает *2026-04-30* Чёрный экран! ### 1/5 — Черный экран *2026-03-30* Черный экран ### 1/5 — SUCK *2025-11-01* its not working. just empty txt file **Developer response:** Sorry about that, and thanks for letting me know. Version 1.3.0 had a bug that could leave the screen blank. Version 2.0 is a complete rebuild and this issue is gone. I'd be glad if you gave it another try! ### 1/5 — Не работает *2025-08-03* При запуске приложения отображается черный экран ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-02-14* Does nothing but shows ad banner at the bottom of the screen. No ui, no ability to open a file from Files app, no reason to be in app store imho. **Developer response:** Sorry about that, and thanks for letting me know. Version 1.3.0 had a bug that could leave the screen blank. Version 2.0 is a complete rebuild and this issue is gone. I'd be glad if you gave it another try! ### 1/5 — Why. *2024-12-24* So here’s a layout of my entire activity with this app: 1. Opened app 2. Imported file 3. Taped four times 4. Saw ad 5. Tapped three more times and typed a single letter into the text field 6. Saw another ad 7. Uninstalled app **Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback, and sorry for the experience. You were right: the old version showed far too many ads. Version 2.0 is a complete rebuild. Ads no longer interrupt you while typing, and Pro removes them entirely. I'd be glad if you gave it another try! ### 1/5 — Unusable without interruption *2023-09-05* The very first sentence I write was rudely interrupted with a layover ad that I couldn’t remove without closing the app. The app was on my iPhone for less than 2 minutes before I was forced to delete it. This was a waste of my time! **Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback, and sorry for the experience. You were right: the old version showed far too many ads. Version 2.0 is a complete rebuild. Ads no longer interrupt you while typing, and Pro removes them entirely. I'd be glad if you gave it another try! ### 1/5 — Wasn’t what was expected… *2023-06-14* One star because you can create and edit .txt files..I was HOPEFUL that the installation would create a dedicated folder to be used by the app where all new/existing files need to be placed but it wasn’t designed that way—It is odd that one must IMPORT a local file into the app even if it was a file just created and saved within the app…It wasn’t labeled in the App Store as having In-App Purchases and it does…As the need was to create and edit .txt files on an iPhone they are local so if data is turned off it should still work but instead becomes a black screen making the app of no value. **Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback. Version 2.0 addresses these points: • The app now has its own folder in the Files app ("On My iPhone › txt Editor"), and new files are saved there automatically. • .txt files can be opened and edited directly from the Files app or iCloud Drive, no import needed. • The app works fully offline. • The optional Pro subscription is listed in the App Store. ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Bare bones in a good way *2026-10-26* I needed something very basic with no fluff, and this did the job nicely. The ads are non intrusive, how they should be. ### 5/5 — Simpel und gut *2026-04-10* Gut gemacht, Einfachheit ist Trumpf. Die Werbung ist verschmerzbar. ### 5/5 — thanks *2025-07-07* best txt editor ### 5/5 — Super praktische App *2024-02-10* Ich hab nicht nur diese App,sondern auch noch andere von Julian ausprobiert und muss sagen:Superpraktisch, kostenfrei und das bisschen Werbung kann ich voll nachvollziehen, super Apps ❤️ ### 3/5 — Bare bones in a good way *2026-09-19* I needed something very basic with no fluff, and this did the job nicely. The ads are non intrusive, how they should be. Edit: Well it turns out that an ad can pop up when you go back to the app if it’s open, and twice I had one trying to trick me into downloading an “update” to my pdf reader. I didn’t click on it, but someone else might. Not cool. --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
