## What is Type Daily?

Type Daily is a calendar where every day has its own typeface. Today's date is set in a different open-source typeface, from the big numeral down to the weekday. Swipe up to turn back through the days before. Tomorrow's typeface stays a surprise until tomorrow.

A daily dose of typeface inspiration. Save your favorites and make them part of your day.

Features:
＊ A New Typeface Every Day: Hundreds of hand-picked families, from serif and sans serif to display, handwriting, and monospace. Each day keeps its typeface, so a date you come back to looks just as it did.
＊ Random Day: Tap the die, or double-tap the page, to flip to a random day. Tap Today to come back.
＊ About This Typeface: Tap the typeface's name at the foot of the day to see who designed it, its class, and its license, with a specimen set in the typeface itself.
＊ Bookmarks: Some typefaces just speak to you. Tap the bookmark on any day you want to keep, and build a collection of your favorites.
＊ Widgets: Keep the day on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Widgets change typeface at midnight, just like the app, and open it on that day.
＊ Ink: Print every day in one ink, or let each day bring its own. Choose from Carbon, Sepia, Iron Gall, Oxblood, Verdigris, Ochre, and Aubergine, on light paper or dark.
＊ Share: Share any day as an image, or save it to Photos.
＊ Daily Reminder: A notification at the time you choose names the typeface that sets the new day.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-11-02

＊ iPhone Duo: Type Daily now supports iPhone Duo. Folded, the status bar runs down the side of the outer display, and the day's controls move into that column, so the page keeps its full width. Opened flat, the inner display uses the same column. Turned upright, the day has its usual top and bottom bars. Sheets fit the column too, and the Daily Reminder, widget, and update offers run their content into it below the clock.
＊ Bookmarks: Show your bookmarks as a list or a grid, each day by its date or in letters set in its typeface. Touch and hold a bookmark to read about its typeface, share the day, or remove it.
＊ Siri and Spotlight: Show Today and Show Bookmarks work from Siri, Spotlight, the Shortcuts app, and the Action button. Spotlight also finds your bookmarked days by their typefaces.
＊ Daily Reminder: See a preview of the notification before you turn it on. The app icon shows a badge until you open the app.
