## What is Type Defense?

Type Defense brings a brand new approach to all typing games. You have to stop desert bandits by firing with your ballista. Everyone knows the best way of using a ballista is typing! And it supports multiple languages!

Each time you write a shown word, the ballista fires to an enemy. The enemies keep coming in waves and you have to write words fast. You can upgrade and repair your castle if it is damaged. There are also two powers which can help you when you are having an hard time. 

Type Defense offers you a interesting approach for typing. You can either play it as a game or a fun way to practice typing. Type Defense will surely improve your writing skills. You have to write each word correctly if you want to shoot desert bandits. 

If you just want to survive you have to type fast and correctly. If you want to shake the highscore, you have to type even faster! Because the game has an awesome combo system which would push you even more for highscore.

It would be a fun game, if I could use more than 2 letters in a row without having to wait a full second using a keyboard.  So anything with a double letter in it like coffee, noon, keen, teen, Halloween, tree, etcetera you have to wait a full second before typing the second letter of the doubles before it will register.  If you don’t you will fail the word and it will move on to the next.  Its not just with the double letters either, but words where the same letter is too close to itself like logo, tote, rare, mime, etcetera won’t register the second letter because its too quick, so you have to wait for a second before it will register.  In a game where typing quick is the goal, it really kills it.

While I love the concept of this game I was really hoping to be able to use my hardware keyboard on the game as I do not type landscape on my phone normally. 

There also doesn’t seem to be any way to allow a hardware keyboard to be used. The devs could get around this by having a self selecting text box on screen that would allow a physical bluetooth keyboard to be used. 

Having to use the on screen keyboard I found frustrating not least of all because miss pressing changed the word you were required to type! Fine let me know i’ve messed up but don’t change the word as doing so means that because I haven’t seen the word has changed the screen flashes red loads because I think i’m typing one word but in reality the game has changed the word 4 times because I accidentally miss typed once!!!
