## Newest reviews (10 of 151)

### 4/5 — Useful for running a terminal in a browser

*2026-08-08*

Useful for running a terminal in a browser e.g. Bash shell

However really aggressively demands a review. Loss of one star for this

### 4/5 — Beste Tastatur für iOS!

*2026-08-05*

### 4/5 — Works great with minor exceptions

*2026-07-30*

My most used feature is the left and right cursor movement and quick switching between languages. I genuinely prefer this keyboard over the native iOS one. The exceptions: it takes up extra real estate that isn't always compensated for well, such as when shortcut prompts pop up as tiny slivers that cannot be activated. Sometimes that requires rerunning the shortcut after reactivating the native keyboard. Also, being asked to leave a review when I'm trying to type something. Hopefully this review takes care of that.

### 4/5 — The spell check is too aggressive

*2026-07-30*

I like the app for the most part but it is very difficult to type a word which is not in it’s dictionary. I’ll type an unusual name or word and it will keep changing the word to something else. That is annoying.

### 3/5 — Good but keeps asking for full access

*2026-07-25*

It’s a useful keyboard but recently it is continually asking for full access and put a flash across the top of the keyboard every time I use it. I’m unsure about giving it full access as that means all my keystrokes are potentially uploaded to the Typefinity servers. Frustratingly that alert cannot be cancelled. So it sits there every time.

### 2/5 — New pop up

*2026-07-22, version 2.4*

Is there any way to remove the new, annoying pop-up to "unlock all features"? Thanks. Will upgrade my review if you fix this.

### 3/5 — Pop-Up

*2026-07-20, version 2.4*

There is a new pop-up on my keyboard that pops up almost every time I type something. It says something about unlocking all features but the button doesn't do anything. And I can't prevent the pop-up from coming back repeatedly.

### 4/5 — Better than default keyboard

*2026-07-19*

There are numerous benefits of Typefinity versus the default Apple keyboard. There is one drawback that I would like to point out and one suggestion for improvement. The drawback is that any new voice dictation phrase should capitalize the first letter. The suggested improvement is if the cursor is at the end of a word and I hit the caps lockkey, suggested change in the correction bar should be an all caps version of that word. And where can I find documentation on all the features of Typefinity?

### 1/5 — Nags for Full Access

*2026-07-16, version 2.4*

Since the last update, typefinity nags for keyboard full access every time it opens.
I really don't want any app being able to read my passwords!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam!

*2026-08-10, version 2.4*

They charge you 4.99 to download the app just to then be prompted to sign up for a subscription! What was the 4.99 charge for?! Don't download!

### 1/5 — Subscription for a keyboard??

*2026-08-04*

One time payment - sure.
Weekly 3.99 or yearly 19.99 - nah

### 1/5 — Allow full access

*2026-07-30*

Kindly let us know when you have removed that Allow full access BS from both the keyboard and its settings. Until then, I'm going back to the crapple keyboard.

### 1/5 — Stole my money

*2026-07-29, version 2.4*

i purchased the keyboard for $4.99. To use it, I now much have a weekly or monthly subscription. This is a lousy way to do business. I purchased a keyboard that is not usable without a subscription? Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Just became unusable

*2026-07-27*

No way to get rid of "unlock all features" banner unless you allow the devs full access to your every word. Even the settings are blocked unless you agree to this.

### 1/5 — Annoying popup for full access

*2026-07-25, version 2.4*

I just changed my years old review from 5 stars to one star. After using this for years there is suddenly an annoying popup for full access that I can't get rid of. If it goes away my review goes back to 5 stars.

### 1/5 — You do not have permission to spy

*2026-07-24*

I paid for this keyboard as an upfront purchase as it was private. Now it has been updated with claims that it will sell my keystrokes to Notion for AI training?!
A pox on you for abusing trust and breaking the promise you sold this under

### 1/5 — Updated: review-nagging and disruption of typing, will replace with my own open source

*2026-07-21*

Updated: closed source keyboard nagging for reviews, they killed a five star product.

The only reason why I was refusing to switch to iPhone was lack of a power-keyboard.
I needed arrow key support, mod key support, and special key support (such as inputting pipe character |).

But any person whatsoever should switch to this keyboard. It's really ergonomic.

The only UX peeve I have is that it doesn't have an option to hide the thick bar down below on the iPhone version. This is dubious ergonomics at most, at the cost of approximately 7% of screen real estate. Not too cool, but not worth deducting a star.

The only scary thing is that the keyboard isn't open–source, so we're just one supply chain attack from a total leak of all our key presses.
Would be cool to have Ukrainian language support (Cyrillic alphabet). This could also be solved by making the core of the keyboard open source.

### 1/5 — Annoying pop-up

*2026-07-21*

As of the latest update it has an annoying pop-up asking for full access. Every single time the keyboard opens! I do not want to give full access. Remember it and stop taking up my screen!

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2026-07-20*

Pay 7.99 aud then have to pay a subscription on top, how greedy are you people

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Can't be beat!

*2026-08-06, version 2.4*

You will never want to use the standard keyboard again after using Typefinity for even a few days. Two words: arrow keys!

### 5/5 — I like Typefinity.

*2026-08-03, version 2.4*

Typefinity allows me to do things that no other iPhone keyboard allows. The iPhone should come with Typefinity already installed. Apple, listen up.

### 5/5 — Great keyboad

*2026-08-03*

Has all the control i need

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-08-02*

Good

### 5/5 — Love Having Directional Arrow Keys

*2026-07-31, version 2.4*

I use the directional arrow keys all the time. I've tried many keyboards. I like this one the most.

### 5/5 — Sehr gute Tastatur

*2026-07-28*

Ich nutze diese Tastatur auf meinem iPad + iPhone.
Sie hat alles was eine Tastatur braucht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

### 5/5 — Nice keyboard

*2026-07-24, version 2.4*

Very convenient keyboard. Nice not to have to switch views to get to numbers and punctuation..

### 5/5 — Great keyboard replacement

*2026-07-22, version 2.4*

I L♥️VE Typefinity! I'd be lost without it.

### 5/5 — ****- Focus for now on one long-standing annoying issue here :::

*2026-07-20, version 2.4*

• The bottom row of Typefinity's OSK on my iPad mini (6th Gen, from 2021) looks like this :::
[ Option | Globe | ForwardDel | Spacebar | ← | → | Kbd-dismiss ]
• Now tapping that third-position "Forward Delete" key almost anytime works perfectly, except with our text cursor positioned at end of almost whichever Edit Zone → where most inadvertently, in many apps, it causes 🟠 ~BackSpace~ to happen : yes, Backward delete indeed.
• This anomaly is easily demonstrated in e.g. a cell in Apple's Numbers app, or in the AppStore's top-of-screen Search field, or at end of a document in M$Word or in Agile Tortoise's Drafts or in their "Terminology" Search field, or in Apple's Messages app, or in Signal, or in a field in AirTable, etc.
• Most remarkably the darn "artifact" doesn't happen in Apple's Notes app. 🟢
• Will some day something be done about what I described hereabove regarding the absolute multitude of countless other apps ?
// TypeFinity v2.4 on iPadOS'26.5.2 ;

### 5/5 — The best keyboard by far

*2026-07-15*

This is what the default Apple keyboard should be. Having the number keys available all the time saves time and key presses. Just brilliant.
