If you finally get one and then look it up, no dictionary anywhere can find it. I’m actually stuck in one now for three days, even AI can’t solve it, so I’m deleting the app. ### 2/5 — Type is hard to read, words obscure *2026-01-03, version 1.2.10* Not for me ### 2/5 — Pop-up scam issue *2025-10-18, version 1.2.10* I’ve used this app casually for years, I usually do the daily puzzle. Minutes ago, I received a pop-up scam while using the app…it visually masqueraded as a standard iPhone notification, very accurately so, and claimed ‘your phone has been hacked, immediate action is required, click here’ etc. Force-closing the program got rid of it so it was clearly from the program itself, probably an ad running from someone they receive money from. Clicking it would’ve likely led me to a phishing site or malware. This is unacceptable and you guys need to figure out who ran that scam pop-up because it’s going to turn off a lot of your users. ### 2/5 — Ads are annoying *2025-06-26, version 1.2.10* The app stated that if you purchase any of the game packs ads will go away. However, I’m still getting annoying long ads. I’ve purchased all the Standard Packs… ### 3/5 — British / Australian English ? *2025-01-04, version 1.2.10* If your going to make an app for either the American market or the British English market, either make it obvious which english it uses, or give me the option to change english dictionary’s. If your not going to give the option to change dictionaries then market it as US only, or British English only. Makes a huge difference when you are guessing unusual words with word variations you are not used to. Am enjoying this game for the variety. But please, please... Alternatively provide clear labels for packs that focus on British English or American English. :) ### 3/5 — Turn off wifi *2024-06-22, version 1.2.10* Hello to all the people complaining about adverts, turn off your wifi. I’ve never used it for playing games. If i need it I’ll turn it on but otherwise, no wifi = no adverts. ### 2/5 — Ridiculous Words *2024-06-14, version 1.2.10* Deleting this App...too many unheard words ### 3/5 — Missing something … *2023-12-03, version 1.2.10* When playing the daily puzzle (or puzzles of that style) the goal is to have used all the letters. There are a set of words you are supposed to find but once you have used each letter the puzzle just ends. It would be better if you could keep searching for additional words. Sometimes you might be looking to form a word and then accidentally form a different one and it feels like it ends the game early. This one gets three stars because it’s fairly unique but I’m always left feeling like it didn’t finish the puzzle even though the game says it’s done. ### 4/5 — Great game but…. *2023-11-16, version 1.2.10* I love this game and play the daily puzzle as part of my morning routine. But, I miss being able to look up the meaning of words. Pleas add a dictionary in. Also, the ads at the end of the game are getting annoying. Often I can’t cry rid of them except by shutting down my phone which is a major impediment to enjoying the game. ### 3/5 — Fun game with decent stats for your personal progress pleasure *2023-07-30, version 1.2.10* This is an addictive game where each days puzzle increases and difficulty as the week progresses. Additional packs are expensive and confusing for what you get. There used to be a dictionary to help you understand words. This feature has been broken for many months. Too bad because it was sort of fun to have increased vocabulary while playing a game. If the packs for additional gameplay were more reasonably priced and less confusing this game would get another star. The fifth star is lost because of the broken dictionary. When someone pays for an app the expected to work. When features do not perform it take stars away. Looking forward to the developer giving this app some attention and improving it if he is interested in it anymore. ### 3/5 — Game freezes *2023-06-03, version 1.2.10* This is a great word game but it freezes too often. Must be fixed or cant be played ### 2/5 — Great game but… *2023-05-19, version 1.2.10* Playing this game is good but then having an advert about Family Island where you get some animation where a guy betrays his partner by trying to fornicate some wh0re come up in the middle of playing is definitely not called for. Apple should regulate the ads and the games to make sure that filthy animated pornographic ads depicting pre-fooking acts is not allowed. Obviously, I’ve deleted the game. ### 4/5 — Great brain game *2023-05-14, version 1.2.10* With thousands of pointless games out there this is a great brain workout. The only odd thing is sometimes the game timer seems wrong. I can spend 5 minutes, close game for a while and then finish it it in another 5 minutes and timer will say 90 minutes or something. Does watching free hints add to time? ### 4/5 — One of my go-tos, but… *2023-05-06, version 1.2.10* I love this game and play it regularly, but I have a few minor complaints. First, I’d like more clue puzzles. I’ve played through all the available ones multiple times. Second, it would be nice if you could reset puzzle packs once you’ve completed them so you can track where you are to replay. Last, the in-app dictionary has stopped working. I’d be happy if there were an update to fix it. ### 2/5 — Decaying *2023-04-16, version 1.2.10* This app is engaging and can be challenging. However, it is flawed and appears to be an orphan. The dictionary has recently ceased to function, and that was a big attraction of the game for me, learning new words. I have long been annoyed at the word list. The game accepts many words that are not in the unabridged dictionary that was connected to the game (I have a list of a couple hundred), and occasionally doesn’t accept words that are in common usage. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — So many glitches *2026-05-03, version 1.2.10* I resent the multiple fake security alert “ads.” Clicking on tutorial leaves the screen covered in words without clearing it. ### 1/5 — What happened? *2026-04-17, version 1.2.10* After using this app with pleasure for a long time, today I got a modal message on the screen saying that my iPhone has been hacked etc. etc. It sounds like *this game* has been hacked! I have others of his and each is a unique and challenging puzzle/game. I’m glad there are variations and having levels done by players is a nice addition too. Highly recommended for young and old. Flawless mechanics, as always.
