## What is TypeWay?

CUSTOMIZED KEYBOARD FOR 10-FINGER TYPING

TypeWay supports touch typing with automatic adaptation of the key configuration.
It adapts to individual hands and typing habits  (only on iPad, in landscape mode).
You can “Save” and “Restore” a configuration as a favorite.
“Freeze” fixes the actual configuration. 
“Save” / “Restore” and “Freeze” your personalized keyboard. 

For beginners, we recommend a fixed configuration (“Freeze”)
and the slow adaptation in TypeWay’s “Settings”.

The keyboard layout offers British English, US English, 
and German with several international accents.

iOS features are integrated, like cut, copy & paste, etc.
TypeWay provides fast typing, e.g., for protocols,
lesson scripts, interviews, emails, and basic text editing. 

TYPEWAY AS A SEPARATE APP
Activate the separate note-taker app by tapping on the TypeWay icon. 
“New” opens a new text file.  You can “Edit” and “Rename” the text notes.
For text export, the share button offers, e.g., Mail, 
Messages, AirDrop, Print, DropBox, Pages, etc.  

TYPEWAY AS A UNIVERSAL KEYBOARD
For use in various iPad applications, you can activate TypeWay in iPad’s settings: 
      > “General” > “Keyboard” > “Keyboards” > “Add New Keyboard” > “TypeWay”
This installation of TypeWay offers the question for “Full Access”. 
“Full Access” also can be activated or deactivated in the iPad settings: 
      > “General” > “Keyboard” > “Keyboards” > “TypeWay” > “Full Access” 
( TypeWay does not need “Full Access”, does not need to connect to the internet, 
and does not transfer information.  It works with and without “Full Access” mode.  
All typed data stays local on the iPad. )
Each keyboard shows the Globe Button to switch between available keyboards.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t capitalize, auto-correct

Auto-correct can come with a frozen keyboard setting but what’s wrong with capitalizing after a period, aka ”full stop”? I don’t understand that, why there’s no setting for language. For example, an English setting would capitalize the following: I, English, German, England, a choice for United, States, and so forth.

Installed on my iPad Pro, 9.7", this app crashes after typing a few characters in a note. Uninstalled and reinstalled - same result. Unless updated and fixed - this is useless to me. Disappointed.

Update: here it is 3 months later and this app has not been fixed. Still crashes after typing a few letters. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!

Every person types differently and Typeway helps you customize the keyboard for the way you type. It gets some taking used to but once you do you will be able to type even faster and more efficiently. Become a speed-typer in no time!

Wherever I am, odds are I am typing something. Whether its an email, a text or just a quick note I am most likely using my iPad to do it. TypeWay has worked wonders by learning my fingering pattern and making it much easier to type. If you're like me, then your time is valuable and the less time it takes for you to type something - the better. I highly recommend giving this app a try. It will save you loads of time and make typing more efficient. Great value at only $0.99!

Typeway is a pretty cool app. If your like me and take a ton of notes and write long emails from your ipad then you should try this app out. It will take a few minutes to get used to but the app will adjust the keys to your typing patterns. One cool new feature is that you can freeze the keys once you find a comfortable key adjustment that you like . Give it a try!

My enthusiasm for this kind of an app clouded my reaction time in purchasing it and i acted too fast as I have a mini iPad and this is definitely not for the mini. LOL

Can't locate the apostrophe on this app!  Notice it seems to be written in China.  Can it be that the developers don't understand that an apostrophe is necessary?  Can they either give us a hand and let us know where to find it, or issue an update real soon so I can start using the app?  (which incidentally seemed to work fine and be potentially usefil until I ran into this roadblock....)
