## What is Tyre Tracks?

Do you know how long your vehicle's tires will last? How much tread your tires have right now?

Keep track of your tread depth across multiple vehicles to ensure they remain safe to use with this app. Input a few measurements over time, log your mileage and let Tyre Tracks estimate your remaining tread life and when you'll need to replace your tires. Receive notifications when it's time to add a measurement, and get warnings before your tires need replacing. Track tires across the profile using inner, center and outer measurements to understand the wear trend.

Tyre Tracks can also keep you up to date on your vehicle's service schedule and maintenance history.

This app uses previously submitted data to make estimations. Supplying more measurements will make estimations more accurate.

Always check your vehicle's tires are safe to use by inspecting and measuring the tread depth regularly. This app only serves as a guide!

### 5/5 — Crucial for tyre maintenance

*2026-04-02, version 2.52.1*

Finally an app that treats tyre maintenance seriously. I track three cars and Tyre Tracks handles than all effortlessly. The even wear analysis is genuinely useful - flagged an alignment tissue I’d have otherwise missed. The MOT history and valuation tracking are great extras. Well designed, does what it promises and keeps improving.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2026-03-31, version 2.52.1*

great app for tracking my tire wear and knowing when time for a change.

### 5/5 — Best App for tyre tracking

*2026-03-16, version 2.49*

This is the only app on the playstore to fullfill all my needs regarding my tyres.
Especially the replacement prediction is a game changer for sportscars.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-02-18, version 2.45*

As someone with a high performance EV, tyres are by far my most significant running cost.

This app helps me to avoid replacing expensive tyres earlier than necessary due to uneven wear or other inconsistencies.

The ability to track the expected lifespan of the tyres not only lets me know when the next significant spend is coming, but allows me to better manage and extend the life of my tyres through proactive
suggestions.

### 4/5 — Great way to track wear

*2025-06-26, version 2.18*

Easy to use and read, I do recommend it if you care about the details.

Would be good to be able to go back to edit previous data entry after discovering more information about my tyres such as factory tread depth. This would avoid having delete previous entries or worst redo the whole lot.

Adding support for tracking trailers could be handy too.

### 1/5 — App crashes anytime I press Save

*2025-04-19*

I spend 10 minutes getting 3 measurements per tire and then press Save and the app crashes without saving anything. Deleted.

**Developer response:** Hi ender21, thanks for the review!

Sorry you ran into this issue, we’ve now resolved this crash with our latest version if you wanted to give it another go!

### 5/5 — Must-Have Tire Safety App – Truly Life-Changing

*2025-03-24*

TyreTracks is more than just an app—it’s an essential tool that gives me peace of mind every time I drive. I started using it after my brother’s car was totaled, and we later realized his tires were completely bald. That experience hit hard, and it made me realize how easy it is to overlook something as important as tire tread—until it’s too late.

Since then, this app has been a total game-changer. I use it to track tread on my Tesla, my dad’s Tesla, and my mom’s Audi, all in one clean, organized place. It’s got an easy-to-use interface, color-coded tread levels (green, yellow, red), and it even estimates how many miles I’ve got left before my tires need replacing. That feature alone is worth downloading it for.

One of my favorite things is how it handles different measurement units. My tread depth sensor only gives me readings in inches, but I can quickly convert those into 32nds of an inch right in the app, and then switch it back. Whether you use millimeters, inches, or fractions, it handles it seamlessly. That flexibility makes it super practical, no matter what kind of tools you have.

The developer is also seriously incredible. I’ve emailed them multiple times with questions and suggestions, and they always respond fast—and not just with generic answers. You can tell they genuinely want to help and make the app better for everyone. A lot of apps don’t care once they’ve got you, but this one is different. It feels like it’s being built by someone who actually uses it every day—because it is.

There are no ads, no subscriptions, no weird upsells—just a thoughtfully made, truly helpful app that actually solves a real problem. I use it regularly, and I honestly recommend it to everyone, especially if you care about keeping your car (and your family) safe.

Rating: 5/5
Verdict: Life-changing peace of mind. If you drive, you need this app.

**Developer response:** Thanks Jett, appreciate the review & kind words. Glad you find the app helpful!

### 5/5 — Lovely app!

*2023-11-10, version 1.11.1*

Exactly what I was looking for, after manually tracking tread for many years.

However, it would be nice to be able to tell the app the initial tread depth for each tyre. As the app seems to assume that every tyre starts off with 9mm. This means my brand new (fitted yesterday) tyres are showing as only having 82% life remaining, instead of 100%. As they start with 7.7mm tread.

Update: Thanks for your response and very happy to see it’s possible to set the original tyre depth in the latest update! (Just noticed the app supports the Mac too! Would love to see iCloud sync next. 😁)

Update 2: iCloud sync is now working, so I can see everything on my Mac too! Amazing!

### 5/5 — Clever tool

*2023-07-22, version 1.5*

As your tyres are the only things touching the road, tread depth is critical for both traction and safety. Good little app that helps plan for new tyre expense!

### 5/5 — Incredibly useful tracking app

*2023-06-20, version 1.1*

It is clear and easy to use, an app I didn’t know I needed! I particularly like the degradation graphs and estimated tyre replacement date

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.60 — 2026-08-07

- Adding a vehicle is quicker. If you don't have tread measurements to hand, the vehicle is created straight away rather than asking when each tyre was fitted first.
- A vehicle added without measurements no longer shows tyre mileage or a consumption score it can't know. Those statistics say so instead, and tapping one lets you fill in how far the tyres have travelled and the tread they started with.
- Tread depth entered for one tyre is no longer copied to the other side of the axle. The two wear differently, and a copied reading was being stored as a measurement you never took.
- Fixed a measurement being saved when the rear right tyre's tread depth was missing.

### 2.59 — 2026-07-17

- Replacement dates are no longer estimated from a tyre that hasn't worn enough to measure. A nearly-new tyre could pick up a wildly pessimistic date from what was really just tread gauge error.
- Tap a tyre with no estimate yet to see how much it has worn and what's needed before a prediction appears.

### 2.58 — 2026-07-12

- Tread wear is now measured against the depth your tyres had when they were fitted, so the remaining percentage is right for part-worn tyres.
- You can now record the tread depth a tyre had when it was fitted, and correct its fitment date and mileage, under Current Tyres in the vehicle editor.
- Replacement estimates now refresh when you edit a measurement, instead of holding on to an old prediction.

### 2.57 — 2026-06-28

- Trailers! Add a trailer with 1, 2 or 3 axles and track tread depth over time, no mileage required.
- Multi-point tread entry (inner, center, outer) is now available when adding a new vehicle, matching follow-up measurements.
- Fixed a false "higher than previous" warning the first time you logged tread on a fresh vehicle.

### 2.56 — 2026-05-07

- Performance improvements
