Seems like a bug they did not develop for different iPads or update it to work. When I find a convoy/ship on the hydrophone, I can’t get to the convoy. This game atleast needs a map to get 5 stars. Also the scarcity of ships is… rare. It’s realistic and fun but it’s confusing because to someone like me who has a hard time understanding something without a tutorial I’m sitting there wondering what to do it’s hard to play. One thing I want to to add is the ability to access a map because I know U Boats had them and it would help to have one because then you can get a handle on your position and where you need to go. Add all this and I will give 5 stars. ### 4/5 — It’s good but one problem *2020-10-03, version 1.0.6* The decoding always bugs me out as I can never decode the messages as whenever the app tutorial helps a bit but doesn’t at the same time. It would be more better it was actually a proper tutorial were it explains everything in a mode that is named “Tutorial” so whenever you go into the mode it will put you in game and then it will give you examples and like it tells you what to do like pressing buttons etc. If you do add this in it will be very helpful towards newcomers and people that doesn’t understand it. Thank you. ### 4/5 — Great Game *2020-08-12, version 1.0.6* First off, if you are a fan of RPG, this is a great game. It is like nothing you’ve ever played. The app is great but would like to see the following updates: 1. Add the course and speed values to the “Course” and “Speed” buttons as you have done with the “Depth” button. It would make for a much easier readout then tapping into the respective areas to see the values. 2. Add the ability to turn the boat port or starboard. Many times I want to turn to, say, 270 from 45. If I am hunting or running from a particular vessel which way I turn can be the difference between success and failure. “Come right/left to 270.” 3. Would love the ability to review game log after game ends. It would be very helpful to review especially when we die rapidly and somewhat unexpectedly. That would easily make this a much more effective app and aid in operations when things get crazy. Either way, love the game! This has happened twice and I have had to restart the game because the app doesn’t remember we even started the mission. Love the game it’s just that one problem. ### 5/5 — The most realistic and thorough U Boat game in the AppStore *2019-09-28, version 1.0.5* Many of the players don’t realize that this is a complementary app for a board game that bears the same name. However, this doesn’t mean that you need to purchase the board game if you want enjoy this app. The only things you need from outside this app is the map and the enigma code sheet. You can download the map online for free at uboottheboardgame.com, however, there is no online download for the enigma code sheet. This one has to be acquired from the board game packet. uboottheboardgame.com also explains how to navigate around the waters of Europe in their YouTube channel using the map and a protractor, which are the only two things you need form outside the app to be able to know where you are going. I highly recommend buying the whole board game. Doesn’t matter which version iPad, new iPad Pro 11 or the older iPad 9 and new iPad Air. All three the app is not fit to the screen and it is missing the right and left sides of the screen. Reading anything is almost impossible as the words are all cut off on both sides of the screen. Fix this and then I can update my review. It’s hard navigating through waters using the sextant, and there are very few maps on Atlantic quadrants on the internet. I would definitely recommend this game though, a very realistic U-Boat simulator, and very thrilling and interesting. It’s far more than that! You gotta navigate using compasses maps and protractors. You gotta manage a crew and maintain equipment. I play it without the board game just fine. If you play without the physical board game take screen shots of the maps on the website. You will need them. If you have the boardgame you can do the enigmas and stuff and have up too 4 people help you figure stuff out. It’s the bestest and mostest realistic U boat simulator I have ever seen. ### 5/5 — How do you crack the enigma code *2020-07-26, version 1.0.6* Read the title. ### 5/5 — Really good with the save and realistic *2020-06-13, version 1.0.6* This game is actually very good at first I thought it would be a ripoff but it was a great game and it really caught that suspense where you just expect an entire convoy the convoys are also realistic as they shouldn’t be huge or massive the are random and the way they blow up is insane and the escorts are slightly a pest as they just ram you as quickly as possible so they should make it so that they can’t just ram you but to have catch as they can sink you with 40-90 shells so you don’t just shoot it and make the ship sink also make the HQ messages easier or a better tutorial but overall it’s a great game and it’s a nice way to get the grasp of being on a u boat with the brutal suspenseful feeling of running into a convoy ### 5/5 — Problème de son avec l’appli sur Apple TV *2020-06-09, version 1.0.6* En utilisant Apple TV, avec l’application U-BOOT, seule l’image se transmet au téléviseur HD .
