Doesn’t even open for me any more, the loading screen just spins. ### 1/5 — Worst excuse for an app I have ever used *2022-03-03, version 1.0.1* Nothing works. No one answers the phone. I have to delete and reinstall this app every single day because all I get is a blue screen with nothing on it. Oh excuse me, sometimes it’s a white screen. With nothing on it! Congratulations we have trash developers. ### 1/5 — I miss DoubleMap *2020-09-17, version 1.0.1* Magic bus is a mess to be honest. One of the many things I don’t like about it is how i can’t view multiple routes. If I’m looking at a bus route and it gives me six minutes to walk to bus route that I can’t make it too, then the app becomes ultimately useless for me. They should include a drop down menu of the other extra few times the bus will be coming within the next hour. In addition it’s both slower and glitchy. For some reason it feels like we’re using a desktop interface on a mobile phone. ### 1/5 — Doubble map was better *2020-08-16, version 1.0.1* This app is hot garbage, Schlissel’s dog could’ve programmed a better UI, why tf does this booty hole app exist. Literally just have a map showing the buses and allow to select routes. Oh wait, I’m describing DoubleMap, the app that worked fine but was replaced by this garbage. ### 1/5 — Horrifyingly terrible *2020-03-10, version 1.0* This is easily the worst map app I have ever used. I give DoubleMap a B+ because it had a couple issues here and there. I give this app an F because of how terrible it is at everything it does. The frame rate is abysmal (< 5 fps on an iPhone 11 Pro), taps take seconds to register, taps miss the buttons and press different things instead, and everything is blurry. Even basic usability like getting to the map and using it are worse. It doesn’t even show you where you are on the map! I hope they re-instate DoubleMap because this app is nearly unusable. I’d give it zero stars if I could. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Rarely works *2026-07-02, version 1.0.1* More often than not the app cannot connect to server. The rest of the time it'll tell you to go to incorrect bus stops or have your location completely wrong. Better off using Google maps to figure out bus routes and times. ### 1/5 — Very unreliable app. *2026-01-09, version 1.0.1* I don’t think this app has given me a single accurate bus arrival yet. On top of that, the UX is really messy and this is not an enjoyable app experience. For multiple times, it jumps from 10min to 4min or from 5min to DUE and then I have to wait for 10min / 5min for the actual bus to come when it is below 0C degrees outside. Real-Time Map completely stopped working a month ago for absolutely no reason. It stills gives me a blank white page. Without it, I can’t simultaneously view multiple bus routes anymore (unless they share the exact same stop, but that’s not the case at Pierpont). Don’t even talk about Commuter South (which stopped at different stops randomly & just disappeared spontaneously like a ghost during the 3-month detour period in Fall 2024, but I unfortunately had to take it at 7:00 early & cold every Wednesday morning). Ridiculously awful overall. Why not just use the browser (which is same awful). ### 1/5 — Never Loads *2024-11-22, version 1.0.1* I can never get the app to actually load. Used to work for beginning of year, now it’s just a loading screen. ### 1/5 — Confusing Bus system *2023-09-11, version 1.0.1* Can’t believe that UM Bus real time information is not shared with Google Map. We have to use this App to plan our trip if we want to take UM bus, which is not friendly to use. The overall interface feels like it’s designed for a computer with a mouse, not a touch screen. Also agree with other comments about the shape of the bus icons, if you’re looking at more than one route it gets cluttered. Was hoping that the Glazier Express lines would be on it as well and they’re not.
