Another really strange design choice is that there is no way to see what the settings were for a preset, because the primary pedal controls are not represented within the app UI. (There isn’t even a way to sync up your physical knob positions with a preset so you can continue adjusting it. It would be easy to light up LEDs on the pedal to indicate whether a knob is greater or lesser than the preset value). The app doesn’t work well on the iPad either… controls don’t follow your finger. ### 2/5 — Good but problems remain *2026-02-05, version 3.0.4* It used to be faster to connect, but with latest firmware updates I now have to wait for the app to fetch preferences from the pedal. This is new, slows me down and is just a bit irritating. Also only having one saved preset accessible from the pedal is a bit poor too. Good job it sounds amazing, but the clunky interface lets the whole experience down. ### 3/5 — I wish I could see preset settings *2026-01-06, version 3.0.4* Works ok, pretty limited. I wish you could see the settings for each preset so you could learn how they work. It’s also a pain when the phone goes to asleep after 20s and you have to start over at the connect screen. ### 4/5 — Good app but would like more features *2026-01-02, version 3.0.4* Brought the UAFX Golden Reverb and it sounds great. Connecting to the pedal by Bluetooth was easy. Using my phone to apply presets was simple and they sounded so good! I only wish there was a way to see how the preset was built. That way I could have a live version which is one of the presets, and then a saved preset. ### 1/5 — This app makes me want to return OX Stomp *2025-12-12, version 3.0.2* This thing is so garbage that it won’t even pull my presets up correctly. It will choose the wrong microphones and won’t save changes if I make any and wish to save them. Also - changes on the app just won’t do anything to your sound at all at times. The OX Stomp entirely depends on this app to work and it does not at all. This has been a massive headache, waste of money, and my time. Wish they would fix this or recall their bricked pedals. $650 paperweight. ### 2/5 — Worked Great Until a New Version Came Out *2025-12-05, version 3.0.2* I have an Ox Stomp. I updated the firmware on my pedal and installed the 11/19/25 software update on the app and now I cannot save any of the edits I make on the Ox Stomp. The app is not functioning properly at all. Please fix this ASAP. This experience is really making me want to buy another amp modeler because I cannot have something that is unreliable. The constant dropping, reconnecting, waiting to reload, is really frustrating. I’ve updated firmware to v1.1.14 using iOS 18.5, Bluetooth on, pairing on, but can’t connect. Uninstalled, re-installed app, power cycled phone, power cycled pedal, no success. Cannot connect. Tried UA Support bot chat, no success. No direct support email. It constantly drops connection with my ox stomp. I have to restart it constantly just to change one microphone. Sometimes it will change cabinets, but not microphones. Sometimes it will change microphones, but not cabinets. Sometimes it won’t let me rename something. Sometimes it crashes getting it to work is basically impossible. I have updated both the firmware and the app to the latest versions as of late May 2026 what a joke fix this or just go away. ### 1/5 — Buggy, unreliable, and poorly designed *2026-04-02, version 3.0.4* Multiple attempts are required to connect to a pedal (either wired or bluetooth). Then when the pedal does connect, don’t you dare let it go idle, or exit the app. You’ll have to start all over again. At times only certain adjustments will reflect on the pedal. And the Bluetooth connectivity is really buggy, causing presets to not be saved, and the app crisscrossing parameters into the wrong preset and messing up the ones you did have saved. I have the Ruby, Lion, and Ox, which all sound great. But the app is nearly useless and makes me consider selling the pedals. ### 1/5 — You thought Source Audio was bad? *2026-03-31, version 3.0.4* Ok. Let me start here. The pedal sounds incredible. Every bit what I had hoped for in a versatile delay. Great. Good job. The bad: The midi interface is frankly, the worst I have ever worked with. I have been SCREAMING INTO THE VOID trying to get this app to acknowledge that I am pressing ‘CONFIRM’ trying to assign a PC preset. It WILL NOT WORK. Why? Tell me why? It worked once. Hadn’t worked since. I bought this in the hopes that it would be a high quality addition to my gigging board and work comfortably alongside my boss and eventide pedals WHICH HAVE ON BOARD MIDI FUNCTIONALITY THAT WORKS SIMPLY AND EFFICIENTLY. I have bought a secondary hub for $50. I bought a new USB C cable for $14. I had to upgrade my power supply to support the 400 mA requirement. $279. I have to use a slot to power the midi interface. I had to download a SECOND app to exit the midi interface. I have had to interact with computers 8 times. I still haven’t successfully midi switched this G*D damned pedal. W. T. A. F. UA support is condescending and dismissive. They will tell you recent updates fix the many issues, but nothing has changed. Still totally unstable and virtually unusable. ### 1/5 — ox stomp... *2026-01-16, version 3.0.4* attack slider for 1176 works maybe 1 in 50 times after lots of reconnecting to bluetooth, restarting, forgetting, pairing ect. Sooooooo bad overall. ### 1/5 — Terrible update *2026-01-05, version 3.0.4* I am not going to mince my words here because this latest update is absolutely terrible, so much so that I’ve decided to ditch Universal Audio. Having the best sound in the business doesn’t mean a thing if the apps are unusable. This isn’t a problem just with iOS as the same issues happen on android as well. Apart from taking an age to connect and load presets which is bad enough, certain functions just stop working. Sliders won’t slide, changes don’t update. Erst das Pedal per USB mit dem Computer (PC oder Mac) verbinden, registrieren und updaten. In dem Zuge werden auch 3 (Dream 65) beziehungsweise 6 (Enigmatic) weitere Cabinets hinzugefügt. Wenn alles auf dem neuesten Stand ist, einfach per BT das Handy mit dem Pedal verbinden – dazu vorher auf die Pair-Taste auf der Rückseite drücken. Danach lassen sich per UAFX Control alle Parameter des Pedals einstellen. Wenn man die App nicht benutzt, bleibt der Funktionsumfang sehr limitiert. I had the pedal sounding fairly decent on its own but the extra features on the app were essential for getting it fine tuned. Bluetooth connects quickly and reliably on both my iPhone and iPad. This app works as expected with useful features. No issue updating firmware from my MacBook Pro (took only 2 minutes - quick). Overall, very happy with the pedal and this app. One feature request - on the iPad version, support both portrait and landscape mode. I gig with my iPad and it would be nice not to have to rotate from landscape mode, to use this app easily.
