Couldn’t upload ID to verify. Was told it was a 30min fix, hours later still didn’t work. Can’t access it at all. Wouldn’t suggest bothering with this

App works great. Developed and designed consistently. The app working in isolation deserves 4.5 stars. Unfortunately the service lets it down. 

TLDR: Be warned, their support policies when things go wrong are horrendous, especially if you’re expecting them to be helpful, be on your side and be forthcoming when you’re stuck far from home.

When the alignment of the car working, the owner automating the process and the base price and per km price align it all works out - 4.5 stars all the way.

When the car is listed as available, you go to the pick up location and the car is actually not available? Or the owner has a plan for it on the second day, even though it showed available? Annoying, but can be rectified, customer service will refund your booking amount, you’re on your own to book something else, along with your time and transportation to get there.. 3.5 stars. 

On a longer trip and the car breaks down 3hrs from home? Uber will offer you platitudes, but no actual help. You’ll be stranded on the road for hours because they’re experiencing a high volume, offer you a maximum of $200 to figure it out - train or taxi, and say they want to charge you for the kms that the car has driven so far - 2 stars, because the app works well.

We’ve experienced all the above while using this app. When it works, is not a motto to go by when on a longer trip. Better to go with a rental car company.

Hi hired a car on here and it was nothing more than a shed on wheels. The owner had not canceled my booking and left it for me to find in an unusable state. I was refunded and offered a credit when I called Uber about these issues. 

The second issue I had with this app was the return buttion don’t always work. I took the second car back 19:30 and next day woke up to a late fine. 

On to the positives now. Only go with those who have reviews and have a set number. 15 or more is a good number. I feel this is a good idea and would consider renting my car on here. It was a fairly easy app to use and many use lock boxes so the is no contact. Other owners prefer to hand you the keys. The car I rented was a friend of the woman I’m staying with.

### 1/5 — THIEVES!!!! Worst company EVER

Worst car hire experience ever I have been charged thousands of dollars for damage that was not even anything to do with me once they got four hundred dollars out of me to replace a single small car tyre which was also not my fault they now 3 months later are trying to charge me $2500 for a new bumper which is definitely nothing to do with me I have never had an accident ever and I have been driving many decades yet in the few days I had this car they are claiming all this damage I did everything right I even paid $70 for premium insurance which has not covered a single thing they are blaming me for on top of all this the car was filthy and stunk badly when I got it it looked nothing like the the photos and of course the photos I took on pickup have apparently disappeared from the system even though it was necessary to take them before gaining access to the car keys and because it was taken through the app they are not on my camera roll . Am so disappointed with Uber for literally allowing and actually aided the car owner in ripping me off . So now I am taking the matter to court. This is outright stealing!😡

I used this car hire service for the first time while I was on holiday in OZ visiting my son and his new wife.
I found the app easy to set up and the range of vehicles available was great, unfortunately because I left it til the last minute I had to get what was left.
I found a VW Golf, I thought it was a bit much for what I wanted but went for it anyway. 
The car wasn’t available for the time I booked it for as there was an issue with the app,so Noel said. Booked for 13:30 actually picked up after 17:00hrs. No sooner the other guy got out the car I was in after all the checks. I found the car very untidy inside and out. I was a bugger to start first thing but afterwards ok. Less than a quarter of a tank of fuel.i took the car to my son’s home and cleaned it inside and out.
The car itself was a joy to drive and handle very well, it’s such a shame that it was in the state it was as it would have been a better experience throughout.
