### 2/5 — Easy to setup, not impressed with speeds

*2026-08-26, version 3.8.2*

I wish they had better speeds of data. I could not open most applications.

### 2/5 — So often doesn’t work

*2026-08-24, version 3.8.2*

When it works it works great but it doesn’t work so much of the time.
I’ve been trying to login to view how much data I have left for days and it’s always on the loading screen. I’ve always had issues with this but usually when I try again a few hours later it works but unfortunately I haven’t been able to login for a while and I need to get more data so.

### 3/5 — Watch 👀out for 3 month minimum!

*2026-08-22, version 3.8.2*

Generally the sim was good, sometimes a bit slow. Be sure you are aware of the three month minimum. If you don’t need it, you’ll end up wasting money 💸

### 4/5 — My go-to travel data

*2026-08-19, version 3.8.2*

I’ve been using Ubigi for years now and so far I haven’t experienced any issue with coverage, speed etc. The process is extremely simple and fast. So far Ubigi has been and is my number one go-to data for my travel.

### 2/5 — Not trustworthy.

*2026-08-19, version 3.8.2*

Constantly my data plans were depleted earlier than plan description,so product does not match sale. Constant issues with product reliability. Won’t even take my card payments at times mostly when I need it the most. DOES NOT notify you that you’re running out of data until back connected to internet sometimes not even then. Horrible customer service when confronted with the problems you have there will be no reconciliation or refund of any type. They are not truthful or trustworthy and the app WILL eventually give you issues. I appreciated the times when I first started using the app but now the prices and the service are out of pocket and out of hand have a blessed day another customer lost. I hope that others have better quality of service than I did. Have a blessed day all. ((P.S.) downloaded another service provider and my card went through the first time. )

### 2/5 — Poor internet connection

*2026-08-15, version 3.8.2*

Am struggling to get reliable internet most days

### 1/5 — App sucks

*2026-08-14, version 3.8.2*

App, UI, interface, etc suck. Plans are also kinda expensive compared to competitors

### 1/5 — Bad experience

*2026-08-14, version 3.8.2*

I purchased two Japan data plans, 3 GB and 5 GB. Both plans appeared in my Ubigi account, but I was unable to use either of them because the Ubigi eSIM profile was not installed on my iPhone.

The app showed “Ubigi eSIM: Turned OFF”, but there was no option to install or reinstall the eSIM. The iPhone settings confirmed that there was no Ubigi eSIM profile on the device.

It is unacceptable to allow customers to purchase multiple data plans when the app cannot provide the eSIM required to use them. I eventually had to buy an eSIM from another provider, which worked immediately.

I paid for two Ubigi plans and received no usable service.

### 1/5 — They require you keep your eSIM

*2026-08-13, version 3.8.2*

I was a repeat customer, but I don’t like to keep inactive eSIMs on my phone. Apparently with the new app version there is no easy way to re-add or add a new eSIM. I just decided to buy another eSIM from a different vendor and rage review the Ubigi app. Good riddance!!!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-13, version 3.8.2*

Horrible

### 1/5 — Slow connection

*2026-08-11, version 3.8.2*

This time Ubigi is very slow. It takes time to connect to apps.
Not happy. Mostly looking for free wifi that workd better

### 2/5 — Fairly buggy

*2026-08-11, version 3.8.2*

Lots of eSIM apps out there. This service doesn’t have anything to make it stand out. The interface is buggy and doesn’t give notifications of your data usage.

### 1/5 — Unlimited data is actually limited, better prices elsewhere

*2026-08-10, version 3.8.2*

Don’t use this service, your data will stop working even though the plan still hasn’t expired. Unlimited data is actually only 30 GB, and you can find far better services for a more reasonable price.

### 2/5 — No works

*2026-08-08, version 3.8.2*

It won’t connect even though I already paid for it

### 1/5 — Unreliable and poor customer support

*2026-08-06, version 3.8.2*

I used Ubigi service for several months and every month I had problems not getting service. The service is trash and when I reached out for support, all they did was complicate it and make it unnecessarily cumbersome… clearly discouraging people from seeking support. Im done with Ubigi I’ve moved on to a better company

### 1/5 — misleading and dishonest

*2026-08-04, version 3.8.2*

I previously left a review because I bought an 'unlimited' data plan that wasn't unlimited, and the information about the data cap only showed up after i bought the plan. That seemed a bit misleading to me, but I moved on. Now, Ubigi has changed my currency to AUD with no option of changing it back in the app, and the price in AUD is over 15% higher than the converted USD price. Nice job guys!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2026-09-01, version 3.8.2*

I found the card was slow and was already trapped in a three month plan. I gave up and bought a card from a different provider after about 2 weeks.

### 1/5 — Qatar not working

*2026-08-29, version 3.8.2*

I bought a Qatar plan from Ubigi on 19 June 2026, but it didn’t work at all. I tried everything, but nothing worked. Such a waste of money!

### 1/5 — Cancellation

*2026-08-27, version 3.8.2*

I am waiting to hear that you will cancel this eSIM per my email to you two weeks or more ago

### 1/5 — not working

*2026-08-26, version 3.8.2*

bad service wasted money

### 1/5 — DOESNT WORK AT ALL

*2026-08-26, version 3.8.2*

I wasted 14$ for nothing. I got for turkey and I can’t activate the eSIM, despite following all the instructions and solutions like toggling off and on the airplane mode. The customer support website is always down. It’s a scam

### 1/5 — Bad!

*2026-08-21, version 3.8.2*

Just doesn’t work!! One day good but nothing the next.
We were stranded due to no signal in a bad area in Cape Town.
Don’t buy!!!

### 1/5 — They require you keep your eSIM

*2026-08-19, version 3.8.2*

I was a repeat customer, but I don’t like to keep inactive eSIMs on my phone. Apparently with the new app version there is no easy way to re-add or add a new eSIM. I tried both through the Ubigi app and through their website. I just decided to buy another eSIM from a different vendor and rage review the Ubigi app. Good riddance!!!

### 1/5 — Very bad experience waste of money

*2026-08-15, version 3.8.2*

This application does not work, do not trust the ratings, the application DOES NOT WORK

### 1/5 — In response to the developer

*2026-08-14, version 3.8.2*

Response to my earlier review.

While I can’t say 100% that my phone was cloned or hacked by the eSIM I bought through Ubigi. It was what Apple and AT&T believe happened.

After my phone was hacked, seconds after I installed my eSIM card, I did a Google search, and this is what it told me.

Google: “Ubigi eSIMs have been reported to have security issues, including instances where users experienced hacking of their accounts after activation. It's advisable to exercise caution and consider alternative options for mobile connectivity while traveling”

I apologize that I left a bad review, but that is your problem. I am also still resolving the problem I believe, the phone company, and the phone maker believe was your fault. Everybody could be wrong, but I feel like I have to say something here.

### 1/5 — Got unlimited plan then they limited my speed

*2026-08-14, version 3.8.2*

Why would I want to work with a company that operates like this? I want a refund

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Using Ubigi for a year now

*2026-08-22, version 3.8.2*

After quitting my job I went traveling for a year and so far Ubigi has been super reliable. Except one time in Singapore where it refused to connect for several hours upon landing, since I was traveling from Malaysia

### 5/5 — Best eSIM on the App Store

*2026-08-20, version 3.8.2*

I’ve used Ubigi in 3 countries (Japan, Mexico, Spain) and it has always worked flawlessly! The plans are super fairly priced and it’s a breeze to set up. Did not have any issues with connectivity but I was mostly in large cities.

I would say their customer service is hard to reach so if you do have an issue, I am not sure how that would work. But just don’t delete your eSIM ever and you should be good.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-10, version 3.8.2*

I use Ubigi every time I travel to Japan. It’s very convenient because I can start using it right away after installing it. So far, I’ve had a good signal even when I travel to the countryside, so I’m very satisfied with the service. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Best travel eSIM there is

*2026-08-07, version 3.8.2*

For a trip to Korea, I needed a good travel eSim. After many hours of research and several TikTok reels on the subject, I came across Ubigi. When I say this app and eSIM are the best and I really mean it. The Ubigi eSIM went into action immediately once I landed in Korea and it was seamless transition with a few phone setting changes. It runs off the SKT system in Korea which is the best network here plus no pesky verification process. The signal was always strong and never had any issues with connectivity no matter where I was. Be sure to download the app, buy the eSIM, and know your phone setting changes before leaving your country so you get the full benefits. In the end, I would highly recommend a Ubigi eSIM!

### 5/5 — Weltweit online

*2026-08-03*

Egal wo ich bin, kaufe ich mir für kleines Geld kurzfristig gb.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-07-26, version 3.8.1*

Have tried other services and Ubigi is the easiest o r yo use.

### 5/5 — とても良いsimです！

*2026-07-25, version 3.8.1*

### 5/5 — Works in Japan

*2026-07-24, version 3.8.1*

Easy to set up and use. No issues in using it in Japan.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-07-19, version 3.8.1*

Has not let me down not even once
Going away and knowing I can stay in contact with my family the second I leave the airport really dose ease a lot of stress

Definitely would recommend
So far have been to Romania and Spain now planning on using it for Mexico in couple of weeks

### 5/5 — Amazing e-sim

*2026-07-17, version 3.8.1*

no disconnection when it comes to internet.
