## What is Ubigo?

Ubigo, your office on the go as a phone service for businesses and freelances.

Ubigo.co is an online service that allows you to get a virtual phone number (DID) in one of 30 available countries and to forward calls from this number to another destination number of your choice. A web portal allows you to control the behaviour of the purchased number(s) and view their associated call statistics. This option is very useful for businesses that have international clients and wish to show a local presence in many countries or regions.

The Ubigo mobile application is the ideal tool to preserve your confidentiality by displaying your Ubigo number as your Caller ID instead of your mobile phone number. Therefore, people receiving your calls can only see your Ubigo number, and you can keep separated your professional and personal life, all while using your mobile phone as a communication tool. This option is very useful for entrepreneurs who want to stop giving their personal numbers to their clients, hence they can manage their professional life in an appropriate way.

The Ubigo mobile application allows you to:

1. Display your Ubigo number as your Caller ID instead of your mobile phone number 
2. Select which one of your Ubigo numbers you wish to display
3. Keep your personal mobile phone number confidential
4. View call statistics (incoming and outgoing)
5. Send and receive SMS through the number of your choice in your Ubigo account

Ce service est super pour une petite entreprise!  J’ai obtenu un numéro d’affaires distinct de mon cellulaire et ce numéro traite mes appels entrants selon mon horaire et me les redirigent au besoin.  Mes appels peuvent être enregistrés, j’ai un historique de tous mes appels et je peux appeler mes clients tout en conservant ma confidentialité.  Je peux même recevoir et envoyer des sms… bref, un service complet à un coût plus que raisonnable!

In the Ubigo mobile app version 2.0, two significant features have been added:

1. SMS
2. Mute mode

SMS

It's now possible, with the Ubigo mobile app, to send and receive SMS through any of your Ubigo phone numbers! With Ubigo, you could already make calls without revealing your personal phone number, you can now do the same with your SMS text messages!
The use of the SMS service is priced per phone number and per month. The service allows you to make and receive as many text messages as you want.

Note: MMS are not supported yet.

Sleep mode

With the simple tap of a button, it is now possible to place any of your Ubigo numbers in sleep mode. This allows you to better manage your schedule and your professional communications! You now have more control of your availability relative to each part of your business and personal life.
If you have activated Ubigo’s voicemail option, the sleep mode will redirect all your calls directly to this voicemail. If not, the caller will simply hear a recorded message about your unavailability. The sleep mode will not (avoid) prevent you from receiving SMS, but their pushes will be silent.
