UC Softphone is a SIP soft client that extends the functionality beyond the land line or desktop. It brings features of the Hosted PBX platform directly to the user's mobile devices as a complete Unified Communications (UC) solution. With UC Softphone, users are able to maintain the same identity when making or receiving calls from any location, regardless of their device. They are also able seamlessly send an ongoing call from one device to another and continue that call without interruption. UC Softphone grants users the ability to manage contacts, voicemail, call history and configurations in a single location. This includes the management of answering rules. greetings, and presence which all contribute to more efficient communication. ***NOTES - IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ*** SIP - UC Softphone is a SIP Client, not a VoIP service. It’s easy to use and make calls. Your contacts from your phone show up and are ready to use. You can also chat with in your company; it also uses the optional SMS integration. ### 1/5 — Very annoyed *2023-01-03* I can’t answer calls on my cell phone, when receiving incoming calls on land line my cell phone keeps ringing until I turn it off. If your phone and cell rings, it’s because that option is on. Perhaps talk to your provider about the issues? I love this software/phone app! ### 1/5 — Completely Unsatisfactory *2022-01-03* We are required by our organization to use this app on our personal mobile phones. Calls get dropped. Calls don’t ring through, but show as a missed call. Halfway through conversations, you can hear the caller speaking, but they cannot hear you. And it is worse if you try to use it on a wifi signal. In addition to the previous issues, conversations are garbled and broken. I cannot imagine a less productive or more frustrating product to have to have to use. ### 2/5 — Not very reliable *2021-12-03* I hope they fix this app. The Softphone rings and then it rings on my cell and no connection or the soft phone just keeps ringing. I can rarely use speaker option for incoming calls. I can’t dial out a lot of the time or it say’s initiating call for 10 seconds then quits so I have to redial. Lots of bugs to fix. It’s great when it works but not good for business if I can’t answer the phone. ### 1/5 — Just don’t. *2021-12-01* This system is garbage. Our IT firm brought it on as a “solution” to a traditional phone system and it is just the exact opposite. Nothing but issues: dropped calls, calls not being sent through, an impossible tree to work through from a public perspective and just such an irresponsible app to even bring to market. This app certainly has not been what we thought it was going to be when the business switched over from Rogers in 2020. The app is absolute garbage. The app doesn’t show voicemails, calls sometimes don’t even register (I know because I have seen calls come in but nothing shows up in the call history)! Calls are often dropped, the app crashes frequently and often the call quality is poor / terrible. When a call comes in on the app it rings once and then it is gone maybe to voicemail but certainly not enough time to answer it.
